I really like this and the last DNC ad re McCain. I would happily contribute, but I don't want them to use any of my money to help Bush Democrats fend off challenges by progressive Dems. Any suggestions?
  • TruthSerum · 1 year ago
I agree I don't trust the DNC and won't contribute to them until they banish both Bill and Hillary Clinton from the Party. I'm embarrassed to say I voted to the adulterous slickmeister back in '92 but finally woke up after seeing all the scandals the Clintons started. Now with their openly racist attacks against Obama, I see now place for such corrupt slime in the Democratic Party. The DNC needs to clean house.

Adulterous slickmeisters like McCain... Newt Gingrich... Don Sherwood... Henry Hyde.... Jack Ryan.... Larry Craig.... David Vitter.... a person could do this all fucking day long.

    The Hunchback McCain. LOL

Start a draft, then you'll see how long we would be in there.

Two things that will stop the war in 30 days.

    1. Universal draft -- no exceptions unless you're totally disabled.

    2. Deduct $50 per week from every paycheck. Require it to be clearly labeled WAR TAX. This will be in force any time US troops are in a combat situation.

You can be sure that we would never go to war again, unless the American people really believed our national interests were at stake.

Obviously, neither of these would affect the ultra-elite, but there would be 50 millions people in the streets within four weeks.

That's a fine ad! "Maybe a hundred." Yeah, right. The thing that knocked my socks off was his posture. Omeyegaud! He's stooped way forward and over like a very old man with severe osteo-arthritis. What is his wife thinking? Maybe she's trying to do in the old codger. He needs medical care, not a political campaign.

Indigo: "He's stooped way forward and over like a very old man with severe osteo-arthritis"

His shoulders were permanently damaged by a torture technique called 'The Ropes' used by the North Vietnamese: http://video.aol.com/video-detail/the-ropes-tor...

He looks like he should be living under a bridge instead of in The White House.
  • Kansaskitty · 1 year ago
What a presidential look & fine specimen of manliness! All humpbacked in a dorky fleece sweat suit (or whatever the hell that is he's wearing)! I'm sure his campaign handlers have seized that suit and burned it.

Great ad - I like it. I've donated a couple of times to the DNC. They also are helping out with the 50-state strategy. I'm not worried about the Clintons getting any of our largesse - the DNC will use it to elect as many Dems as possible. Hopefully all progressive Dems.

    Kansaskitty,

If you're looking for a "manly man" what's the attraction to Obama? McCain is a war hero who has suffered years of REAL torture as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. Oh please let's have the "macho" debate! PLEASE let's talk about who the real man is. I can just see the tape of Obama bowling his high score of "36" and looking like a women while he does it playing over and over again.

    Yes Kitty, let's go there!!!
  • RandyH · 1 year ago
That's a good ad. And I love that the Republicans are running around saying it's illegal, accusing the DNC of collaborating with the dem campaigns, which they didn't do.

I'd like to see them do one of McCain stating in a joking fashion "I really don't know much about economics, but I've got Greenspan's book." I'm sure I've seen video of that somewhere.

Do the commercial in a funny way though, showing prices soaring, foreclosures, rich people frolicking in cash, Alan Greenspan denying responsibilty for creating the crisis, etc. and end it with the McCain quote kinda like like "I'm no expert but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night."

"Carol McCain was mean to John so he had to leave her after the accident"-cable news
  • DickJones · 1 year ago
At least McCain understands what's in stake in Iraq and has said he will not surrender to terrorists. Obama and Hillary get it too but they are lying to you. Their naive followers actually believe they will pull all the American troops out of Iraq and saddle the Democrat party with an embarrassing military defeat. It will never happen. IF a Democrat president pulls out U.S. troops and Iraq erupts in a fireball, with the accompanying world wide embarrassment, no more Democrats would be elected for 20 years. Intelligent people can understand that. Obama supporters don't get it. Hmmmm...
  • TruthSerum · 1 year ago
DickJones, I only agree with your comments in so far as we need to be careful about demonizing McCain for any physical characteristics. It would be the same as if his side was mocking Obama's skin color. Let's not become as superficial and mean-spirited as the GOP and the Clinton slime machine.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
people who think the GOPers "understand' what it means to be at war and that dems are 'naive' can blow it out their ass.

people do not fight to get their way. if even three years olds can learn this, there's hope for GOPers too. maybe.

"Let's not become as superficial and mean-spirited as the GOP and the Clinton slime machine."

Clinton "slime machine?" Nope. That's not mean-spirited at all!

When it comes to hypocrisy, mean-spiritedness, and downright vitriol, I think the train has left the station.

    Ignore the concern troll.

By the Rethug standards McCain voted for and supported, McCain was never tortured in Hanoi. There's no reported evidence of permanent organ failure.
