AMERICAblog: New Obama ad on Cheney's endorsement of McCain

  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
If I had to give an unbiased score to each of the candidates ads, Obama would get an A+. The ads are quick and responsive. Most Obama ads have upbeat or light music whereas McCain's ads have dark and brooding music.

Makes me wonder who is doing the ads? Not much is said about who actually produces the candidates ads.

Yes, a brass riff to tip the hat to Darth Vader. The music is essentially a classical light-hearted scherzo (pizzicato strings), with Looney Tunes percussion.

The first 5 seconds is the same theme music used in Oliver Stone's JFK

Think it'll help McCain with the black vote?

McCain's Unacknowledged & Neglected African Relatives and links to listen to the great music that they made.

Very sweet. It's interesting that the talent all landed on the black side of the family and left the white side . . . well, I'd best not say anything.

Clever. I haven't seen it on satellite network yet but maybe it's too smart for Florida.

Thank you Dick Cheney. Great job Obama campaign on the quick response. Game, set, match.

If Barack Obama deals with the economic crisis, Iraq and all our other problems this fast, he won't need 100 days, he get it all done in 100 hours.

I can't say that I heard anything resembling Star Wars here, and this is from a hardcore SW fan.

It's very subtle, it quite literally appears the second Cheney appears - 8 seconds in, and only goes for 2 seconds. Listen again, Im convinced.

Saw this ad about 7AM this morning. On the ABC station here in Orlando.

My husband made a good point. Why did Cheney endorse McCain? Answer: to put the final nail in McCain's coffin. In short, there was no reason for the VP to do this, especially while the President is silent, other than to make sure that McCain looses. Then, Jeb can run for President in four more years.

    Just a thought.

I was wondering why myself. Good point.

Call it the conspiracy theorist's mind at work, but I have felt all along
that some in the GOP were undermining McCain's campaign, starting with Rove
but also some of the GOP pundits like Kristol. Once I thought it was Romney
but now I think it is both for their separate reasons. If I had to guess,
it will be JEB in four more years.

    Regards,
    Bob

John Cole says that the Wingnut blogs are influencing almost everything about the McCain Campain and they have been complaining in the last week or so that McCain has been dissing Bush and they don't think that's a good idea strategically. Perhaps that's where it's coming from.

    They're trying anything and everything.

Sounds right but I also think there are more sinister motives afoot.

    Cheers

I listened 5 times and all I hear is a trill in the brass with a harp glissando. Nothing from Star Wars although this is a common movie technique.
OK, I just saw a Rev Wright commercial on MSNBC, they bleeped the 'god damn america', the background is 'hate he can believe in' and 'rage he can believe in'. I thought mccain was not running any Rev Wright ads?? I thought mccain wanted credit for not being racist??

actually, i thought the music sounded like the stuff that was used in made-for-schools instructional movies from the '50s.

If all McCain has to offer is "Joe the Plumber" and Dick Cheney then we are scraping the bottom of the barrel
