Probably wouldn't be a problem for McCain....he can't remember what a gym is anyway.....
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Well, he remembers.

But he probably thinks they still have medicine balls and those vibrating belt machines.

It just underscores how many people never watch any news or read a newspaper.

There is a large section of the younger society out there the work, sleep, and have their own world outside of the internet or US or people mag...

I think this election has shown that younger people are out there paying attention to what's going on and simply needed a candidate to inspire them to get really involved.

There are people in all age groups that don't pay attention to the news. Unfortunately, these are often times the people who really could benefit from being educated on the issues enough to hold their elected officials accountable.

Since McCain is able to claim he is a maverick and hasn't really been one for years and years, I think I'm going to start calling myself a teenager again. I mean, its been about twenty four years, but if its good enough for McCain to keep his old reputation as a "maverick" with current facts that consistently refute it then its good enough for me! I'm a forty three year old teenager!

    Oboma who???

    What a cute story.

He has a regular person face, he looks like he probably lives right around corner and keeps his lawn mowed. That regular guy look could become a problem, him being a nice guy and all.

After all, politicans are nasty people. So . . . what's up here?

Cute. And I have to say, I met the senator this week. And he is really that nice and contrite. Truly. A good egg as they say, very approachable and un affected. Very midwestern....just as I remember the people of Chicago.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Mark, why did you leave Chicago?

"do jumping jacks of I'll leave you"-McCombover to Carol McCain

Just as long as it isn't the old SNL "Land Shark" skit. If Obama offers a Candygram, don't let him in.

(No, I'm not related to Tina Fey)

I once some years ago, simply by the fact of being next in line at check-in, got Wynton Marsalis and his band into the National Capitol Y on Rhode Island Ave in DC as my guests when the desk clerk wouldn't let them in and wasn't aware of the name Wynton Marsalis.
Doesn't sound like Mr. Obama was particularly miffed with the brief fame failure...

That story isn't a good sign, I think. A club member who would think himself important enough to blow by protocol (i..e. reception) because he's a candidate for national office does not make for "a man of the people", does it?

A nice story that does indeed show how many people do not have cable or even TV. We don't know what was on this girls mind, she is a new employee for a month. What was the lighting condition? She was smart enough to call him Mr. Future President, I bet that was good for a laugh!
Again the story is not about recognizing Obama, but about educating people about what is going on in their country. I'm not sure but 15% of the people don't know the VP's name, this after 7 years.

If she did this to Hillary, she would have lost her job.
