AMERICAblog: "Nothing in America had earned the adult John McCain's love in the 31 years before he was shot down? Nothing?"

  • jr · 1 year ago
Panama's John McCain is ungrateful to the country that gives him 58k in disability despite having a 6 figure job and 9 figure net worth
  • hilojodi · 1 year ago
Not only did John McCain not love his country before he was 31, he lied about his age when he first met Cindy (while still married to Carol) and told her he was younger than he really was. That was okay with Cindy, though. She thought it was funny because she lied to him about her age, too! She told John she was four years older than she was! They didn't even tell each other the truth while making plans to get married, and maybe still wouldn't know their true ages if it hadn't been revealed on the marriage certificate!! This is a true story!! What kind of people are these who would enter into this supposedly most personal, intimate relationship with someone and be so thoroughly deceitful with each other?! Watch this story told in Cindy's own words at

Nothing in America had earned the adult John McCain's love in the 31 years before he was shot down? Nothing?

    -----

    Not even his first wife.

I loved America my entire life but the wingnuts made me hate it.
  • blmack · 1 year ago
Was he drafted? If not, why would he sign up to fight for a country he doesn't love? Yet another area of his physce to delve into...

Getting FREE college from paying Americans is nothing to be proud of?

    .
Ah, the romance of the tiger cage . . .
    .
  • nsr · 1 year ago
    This is silly.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
Silly? Cindy said she was proud all her life. John wasn't proud all his life.

    Nope, not silly.

I want to know why he wasn't proud.
  • nsr · 1 year ago
It's BS when Cindy says it, it's BS when the wingnuts say I don't love my country. I'm not making the same argument against them. Period.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
Well, John Kerry didn't make the same "kind" of arguments back in 2004. He sat around like milktoast and didn't want to dignify the "comments" ( Look where that got him)
Well, the gloves are off this time.
If McCain wants to have a pissing contest...I'll be drinking a gallon of water before I get into the ring. !!!!!

I'm not saying don't respond to the argument. But the charge is bogus, whoever's saying it.

It's not silly calling out hypocrisy. You totally missed the point. The double-standard is the story here and how dare the GOP question anyones patriotism.

I love the Grand Canyon and other scenic areas, though.

Not the Voting and housing rights from the mid 1960's? make you proud of America? You were in your 20's then and to tell me a "young" person then was not proud of that? Or could it be that you were white and rich man and it didn't matter to you?
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
Welp, I have to get back to woooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrkkkaaaaaaaaaarrrrrggghhhh.

    later
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
What made McCain happy to be an American in the 1950s and 1960s was unlimited access to white male power. And he could get it despite being a reckless rageaholic who was drunk off his ass much of the time, an incompetent aviator and Naval officer, and an unashamedly unfaithful poon hound.

well... it kinda makes sense that a Panamanian wannabe dictator didn't really like the US... until he was in captivity and needed our help. I think its happened before hasn't it?

the strange thing is that we could wind up with a Panamanian dictator as the next POTUS.

Gosh, this news really cheapens McStain's flag lapel pin...
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
Michelle Obama speaks her truth and gets lynched.
John McCain speaks his and is applauded for his honesty and patriotism.

    what's the difference?
    simple as black and white.

I told my ex-wife last night that if Barack Obama is elected president, I'm going to fly an American flag outside of my house until he's inagurated.

The triumphalism implicit in the familiar "winning the Second World War'. "freeing the Jews", saving "the entire world from the Japanese Empire" refrain is immensely grating. The narcissism of such a sentiment does a severe injustice to all the others who were involved in these worthy enterprises, not the least the 24 million plus Russians who died at German hands while pushing the Wehrmacht back through the meat grinder that was the Eastern Front. Without the Russians, it would have been all over, and with a disagreeable result as well, long before Americans belatedly showed up at the party. How could anyone love an outfit that always shows up just in time for the award ceremony?

What is it with this 'Love' thing? Why do Americans have to state, and restate, and sob and sing our 'love' of our country? Sorry, maybe I've been out of the country too long, but I think being content to be American, to be living in america, etc. to take pride in (some of) America's values, accomplishments etc. is okay. But this demand of our politicians that they lay bare their breasts and self-flagellate to prove their love of America practically smacks (sorry) of fetishism , and seems to be part of the good/evil, with you/agin' you mentality that has simultaneously defined and corrupted US politics for so long.
