She used to work in a funeral home.

When your friends gather round the bed
And look at you and say "Mmm mmm, don't he look natural?"
When that happens to you, daddy, Jack, you're dead

Well, McCain is clearly showing us what a DRAMA QUEEN he is today.

I know there's gotta be a way to work in The Golden Girls...but I can't think of it right now.

    Oh by the way....

Army Unit to Deploy in October for Domestic Operations
Beginning in October, the Army plans to station an active unit inside the United States for the first time to serve as an on-call federal response in times of emergency. The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent thirty-five of the last sixty months in Iraq, but now the unit is training for domestic operations. The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The Army Times reports this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to Northern Command. The paper says the Army unit may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control?. The soldiers are learning to use so-called nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds.

this seems to coincide with the reason given for the extension of the deployment of the troups in Iraq to 2011. That was, " . . . due to the domestic political situation in the United States."

Thanks for sharing! I was looking for more information on this.

Just watched Bu$h's speech, and all I can say is Wow, President Bu$h seemed awful giddy and happy about the disastrous economy! He almost seems to enjoy causing this much pain. You'd think he was some kind of sociopathic pathetic sadist. Oh, that's right, he is pathetic sociopathic sadist. He seemed to have the demeanor of, "Lookie at all the shit I caused! Wow, I've caused one of the biggest crisis in American history!!! Wheeeeeeee!" He enjoyed it.

There was this weird squeaking in the background, my wife said it was probably his butt cheeks clinching because he is so nervous.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I heard that TOO! I thought WTF? Then I thought, oh its my partner snoring... he was actually snoring but I kept hearing it...
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 1 year ago
I kept thinking it was the dog snoring.
  • abstractartgirl · 1 year ago
Are you sure about his butt cheeks? I though it was my cat farting again.
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 1 year ago
In reality, it sounded like he had a tight grip on the podium. Too much
Jack Daniels and coke, I guess.

Ummm, it might be time to look into how much of our Treasury has headed out the White House back door down to the Bush compound in Paraguay... And Lehman Brothers might want to check their books as well... they had Jeb, GHW and another Bush cousin on their "payrolls"....
  • Btalk314 · 1 year ago
Well, I've heard it said before and it bares repeating now:

    There are only two kinds of Republicans;

    Millionaires and Suckers.
  • jmcon007 · 1 year ago
We'd better be alert in the days leading up to the election in November that McCain isn't being wheeled around in a wheelchair wearing a pair of dark glasses.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
He may want to postpone the election for a catheter insertion or simply just to go pee-pee.
  • abstractartgirl · 1 year ago
Medical question for McMoron......does one need a catheter to efficiently blow smoke up one's ass?
And Palin is on the record as saying she's going to find efficiencies in Washington.
Perhaps they're efficiently hooking this up right now!!!!

OT, but Bush just used the term "democratic capitalism." Did I miss something in ECON 101? What does "democratic capitalism" mean? Anyone? This plan is actually plutocratic socialism if we are allowed to just make up terms.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Its Bu$hco's attempt to redefine what they are doing as the Democrat's fault. The Republicans are still virulently partisan while claiming, we all need to join hands and sing Kum Bah Yah here! You can bet Republicans are working over time to try to blame this all on Democrats, but they can't. They only way they can is to snarkily call it "Democratic Capitalism" and have people associate it with the Democratic party. It is indeed Plutocratic Socialism brought to you by "trickle down" economics. It is the culmination of years of Ronald Reagan / James Baker ideology being implemented and bearing its ultimate fruit. Nothing was done after the Cold War to help massage the Socialism for the rich and Hyper-capitalism of the poor ideology shoved down our throats by Republicans. The only time Republicans balk at Socialism is when they are talking about health care for the poor. Otherwise, they are most happy to squeeze the poor so they can clean up their bad decisions when they play the stock market casino and lose.

I'm worried about Obama meeting with Bu$h and McCain about the economic mess. I can just imagine Bu$h getting down on all fours while a giggling McCain shoves Obama over on his backside. Figuratively speaking, how many times does it take to get politically screwed by these guys? I hope the Obama camp knows what they are doing when meeting with those two. I can just imagine the "narrative" from the Bu$h administration after the meeting, "Well, everything was going just grand until that elitist dark man threatened everyone with universal welfare for even Osama bin Laden!"
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
I thought about that and if I were Obama I would insist the meeting be put on tape for release at a future date.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
    Good idea... cameras... definitely.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I'm going to follow John McCain's lead and just tell everyone I'm not going to work or do anything unpleasant until after the economic crisis is solved.
  • butchcjg · 1 year ago
Huffpost reports that it'll cost the university $5.5 to cancel the debate...how's THAT for "solving" the economic crisis. Should we start a petition that McCain has to reimburse the $5.5M? Cindy could sell a couple of outfits...
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Hey, what about all our damned WATCH parties, dammit? Thanks a damned lot - chicken McCain!
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
That was my first thought when I saw the clip below... he's getting a $5,000 makeup job, so really how important is the economy to him....
  • Chris From Maine · 1 year ago
wasnt Ashley Dupre also a $5,000 lady?

    just asking.

Heavens to Betsy, I can't believe Lady de Rothschild let McCain go slumming with some simple, pedestrian $5,000 "American Idol" makeup artist, instead of the one of her own, whom I'm sure she beats every day before sending him back to his cage.
  • triple7s · 1 year ago
McCrazy's left eye looks really strange. There is something going on with his health, he just looks ill.
  • Wild_Weasel · 1 year ago
Bush speech today was without substance, and was blatant litany of excuses for financial crisis . . . excuses that didn't get to the real causes, like the the Republican-controlled Congress for the six of the last eight years, and the Republican President, both of whom have had utter contempt for regulations.

Laissez faire capitalism . . . cowboy style.

    Yeee ... Haaaa

You can put lipstick on a pig, theater makeup on a tired politician, or a muu muu on a moose. Bottom line: You haven't changed what they are.
