AMERICAblog: Now McCain is playing the sexism card to divert attention from Palin's lack of experience

  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Prissy lil' Lindsey is leading this charge; McCain should find someone other than this surrogate to make the case--aren't any ACTUAL women in the Senate available to make this argument to those VAST numbers of Hillary voters who hate Obama?
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I think they don't like McCain.
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
Like Olympia Snow, Kay Hutchinson, Susan Collins. All passed over because Sarah is Johnny Mack's soulmate.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Ha.

Guess they figure Lindsey's close enough.
  • bob915 · 1 year ago
I would Honest to G-d like to REALLY know what is going through Cindy Mcain's mind concerning this-----but I'll probably need to smoke a big fatty to grasp it
  • jimfromthefoothills · 1 year ago
    Ok, here it is...

Peticure at 10, eat lunch with friends (drink gin and tonic, repeat 12 times) then vomit, work out, eat dinner with John, vomit, drink a martini (repeat 12 times), take a valium or three, pass out.
  • Gridlock · 1 year ago
gee, didn't see this coming from a mile away.

McCain has the POW card, Palin has the sexism card, together they are the SUPERUNQUALIFIEDFRIENDS!
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
At noon today, I watched a repeat of last night's Charlie Rose. Guests were Croaky Roberts (total McCain fan), Al Hunt, Doris Kerns Goodwin, Mark Halperin, Charlie Cook (the pollster), Ed Rollins and a couple of Rethug operators. Except for Al Hunt and Cook, they all seemed blissfully unaware of most of what we've been talking about since last Friday night. And Cook and Hunt were not as well informed as we are. Halperin actually seems concerned. Very interesting.

If I were an investigative reporter, I would be looking into links with white separatists groups. Not only because of the news that her husband was in a successionist group. Sucessionist groups in Washington State and Idaho I know are often led by white supremicists (I'd love to know if this AK one is), but also because she is from Sandpoint, Idaho, one of the most white separatist areas of the country. She already sounds extremist in her beliefs. I bet there is a whole host of disturbing things in her background we don't know about yet.
  • ydthin · 1 year ago
that is a great point. and I'm sure there is truth to it. if only this bit has come out, and all of it available to everyone, imagine what is hidden.
  • cougars · 1 year ago
Yeah, despite anything McCain says, it is obvious there was little vetting on this woman. Investigative reports better move ass though, there isn't much time to find out what all is in her background and the last thing we need is a President McCain dying in office and leaving a rightwing radical running the country. She could make Bush look good she is so unqualified and so extremist.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Yeah, that was my first thought when I heard NRA and Idaho.
  • sdv · 1 year ago
Someone should ask McCain if Palin's salary will be 70% of Cheney's.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Hell, he still thinks Obama should get 3/5
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
It wasn't sexist when Limbaugh said that John Edwards had to fuck around because his wife (whom has been extremely ill from undergoing chemo) wasn't giving head.

    Now what?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    It's documented.

Palin can't even run a car wash.

  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Well, she did send herself a bill. Maybe she forgot......like McCain does.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Laugh Out Loud Funny! I would love to see Mitt's expression when he finds about her business "acumen."
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
What was it that helped John McCain decide that Bristol could handle the scrutiny of the timeline lie?

    Now that's some vetting, people!
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
Johnny Mack thinks this C**T has what it takes to be a good VP.
  • ydthin · 1 year ago
yep, women should be held to exactly the same standard as men ALL the time. Since men don't have babies, a woman should take an eight hour flight after her water breaks. And a woman should go back to work three days after giving birth to a special needs child, too, because men, generally speaking, are more likely to work. Women shouldn't choose birth control or abortion, because men don't have to use birth control or have abortions. Women should do everything men do, because men are better than women, and if they are complaining, they are just 'whiners'. I really, really, really want to meet this woman's mother. Sarah Palin seems to really hate women (like many conservative women do), and I bet mom has something to do with it. If she was anymore male-identified she'd be sprouting a weenie.
  • jimfromthefoothills · 1 year ago
do you think that baby is really hers?
  • Rab · 1 year ago
McGramps staring at Sarah Palins ass when he introduced her is sexist, c'mon Cindy, time to dump your horny toad senior.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Mebbe he wasn't lusting upon her Alaskan tush as much as marveling at her tush's ability to snap back from a recent pregnancy?
Also wondering if Sarah looked equally non pregnant during her other pregnancies?
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
Everything is on the table, because she's representative of her own version of Every Woman's American Dream: her body and mind belong not to her, but to her husband, a church and the government.

And she thinks all American women should be similarly owned.
  • gregwire · 1 year ago
Uh oh...Palin cancelled an appearance at RNC event honoring her tonight. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/09...
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
OK--things are imploding beautifully. If you're a Republican, you do NOT fuck with Phyllis Schlafly!
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
If the Rethugs are so in tune with women's issues why oh why are so many female McCain representatives petite blond pixies by birth or surgically pixie adjusted?
  • EmmaG · 1 year ago
"surgically pixie adjusted" - hysterical and true!
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
Sexism? Republicans reach for any dumb thing. Remember when they called Obama a Hitler? As if. Hitler was a Fascist, like them. They're stupid. That's all. That's what makes them so extremely and vicsiously dangerous.
  • shrrrr · 1 year ago
CNN just did a report on the presidential and vice presidential candidates getting national security briefings similiar to the president's. The question was raised if Palin could be cleared for such information. Now, that's a good question!
    She's gone by the weekend.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
I think she has to leave of her own choice once she's nominated, so I'm guessing at some point she's going to have to 'spend more time with her family' as so many scandal ridden Republican's often do. Let's hope for Romeny or Lieberman or Pawlenty...I doubt he'd pick another female candidate. Of course, it would be kind of funny watching them explain how "this one" is better than the "last one".
  • shrrrr · 1 year ago
I think Romeny is so pissed at this point he'd turn it down.
  • jimfromthefoothills · 1 year ago
I think you are right. Golden boy got beaten out for a job (that he spent $50 million trying to get) by a hillbilly girl.
  • scytherius · 1 year ago
I agree. They won't boot her but I'd be stunned if she doesn't leave before the VP debate. But then again, Republicans are never accused of being smart.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
    Weren't they overqualified?
  • dad · 1 year ago
the republican party has failed in its attempt to progress to the 1980s.

    old dog.

    Juice from Sidney:

.The cancellation of the first night of the Republican National Convention marks the renewal of the rivalry between George W. Bush and John McCain..Bush is described by sources as "furious" at McCain for being deprived of his last appearance before his party, which nominated him twice, as a sitting president. He believes he is being treated disrespectfully.

  • bob915 · 1 year ago
P D, I just read that Bush is going to evoke 9/11 as the reason to vote for McCain. His gall is glitteringly spectacular.
  • BarbTN · 1 year ago
I think the DNC should take out a full page ad in every major newspaper with a photo of Hillary with arms crossed and quote, "It is not sexism to ask a candidate what his or her qualifications are to lead this country. It's patriotism."
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
Excellent. It's always unwise to f*ck with Hillary when her arms are crossed. Other great women with crossed arms would make a good ad campaign.
  • EmmaG · 1 year ago
Yes! Brilliant! Let's make it a movement!
“The most violent element in society is ignorance.”
Get the word out. Women will not stand for hypocracy.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
I love that Carly Fiorina is defending her.

The woman who trashed Hewlett-Packard defending the woman who trashed Wasilla, Alaska.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Did you hear that Bush has been scheduled to speak but in the UNTELEVISED (nationally of course) 30 minutes BEFORE the nationally televised portion starts and then via satellite? HAAAAA HAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

AND Darth Cheney is "out of the country". WTF?? Probably out somewhere planning the next terror alert...
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
This is no surprise. And the beat goes on.

McCain's judgment sucks. Neither he nor VP pick should be anywhere close to the button.

Darth Cheney is on a mission, and all hell, if it's up to him, will break out.
  • gregwire · 1 year ago
So where is Sarah Palin today anyway?
  • scytherius · 1 year ago
Well of course. But that argument goes NOWHERE. No one buys the old Republican idiocy anymore. Well, except that small minority of America that are Republican idiots. McCain forgets that reporters are people too and they, personally, are AGHAST that Palin could run this country. THey know better than the average America the disaster for America that is the Palin pick.
  • ydthin · 1 year ago
It's a relief to know Sarah Palin doesn't mind a 'sharper microscope put on her.' There's a slew of Sarah threads here:
    http://www.gossiprocks.com/forum/u-s-politics-i...

I just learned on there something about Palin selling a $2 million dollar plane belonging to Alaska on ebay? and that her cousin is now the mayor of Wasilla and apparently is in scandal too. If they vetted her in any way, it was looking for someone who would produce this kind of scandal. It can't be a coincidence.
  • Milli · 1 year ago
Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy: I knew Jack Kennedy; Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy..............

Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton. As much as I despised Hillary's behavior in the primaries, there is no way in hell that Palin can compare to Hillary. McCain was absolutely NUTS to choose this woman as a running mate - and for him to assume that the anti-choice Palin would gain the support of the pro-choice Hillary supporters is THE BIGGEST MISTAKE HE COULD HAVE MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
