AMERICAblog: Now that the Iraqis are talking about a timetable, what's McCain got to say?

  • Wisconsin Liberal · 1 year ago
How dare they tells us what to do in our occupation, OOPS, I meant as their guests!
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Well, at least Maliki has some backbone, and his position is almost exactly in alignment with Obama's.

Additionally, Iraq also says no permanent bases, unless Iraqis themselves control them. His bargaining tool, other than the obvious? No contracts will be signed with western countries until coalition combat troops have left Iraq.

I love it.....Jon Soltz of VoteVets.org was just on Tweety, and said that what Maliki has done is essentially endorsed Obama by talking about a time-table. Funny.
  • SouthernYankee · 1 year ago
Great job Soltz. I happy you finally get it. They want us out of their country.......
  • lark83 · 1 year ago
"finally get it"? It sounds like you don't know what VoteVets.org stands for.

When are we going to impeach this crowd? Including Pelosi and the other minions in Congress who have kept this farce up for so long?

Christalmighty, any of us could have done better.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
McCain will keep us there as long as possible-regardless! It's all about OIL.
  • SouthernYankee · 1 year ago
McCain will say I can't hear youuuuuuuu. Wha ya say? Oh you want us to stay 100 yrs.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
As that crazy old coot Jim, on the "Vicar of Dibley" would say, "No no no no no no no no...YES."

We can keep the military suppliers in business another hundred years. Vote for me, John McSame. And what's a few more dead uppity poor boys who want a college GI Bill?
  • EmGD · 1 year ago
Easy John: "What's that Iraq? Speak up, I'm getting bad reception here. What? Draw what? Sorry, gotta go, we're headed into a tunnel. "

If any of the press asks, he'll just pretend to fall asleep or dive into the nearest car. Or pull a Bush and try to insist that they must have misspoken their clearly worded statement.

Time to leave, when your guests ask for a timetable, start packing.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Too bad the Rethugs are acting like the Guests who wouldn't leave.

I've had such "guests" and threw them out on their fannies...
  • therepguy · 1 year ago
Who to say for sure but I bit it will be a large serving of republican crap!

What's more pressing of late is does the american people really want to spend there time watch John McCain on TV every night for the next 4 years... have just spent the last 8 years watch G. ,W. Bush the nation's ass hole!

    I think not!

Yah know, every cloud has a silver lining. Those troops are perfectly positioned to move into Iran.
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
...or just inside the range of the Iranian missile systems.

Sometimes those silver linings are made of lead. The minute the Iranians notice the 100k + US troops moving en-masse towards their border, we might as well paint targets on their backs and scream out shoot here.

"freedom means taking orders from me. The Iraqis are brown and brown people can't govern themselves"-John McCain

    Go team Iraqis!!!

Take back you country and the oil, too. Mr. Obama will help you with this task.

(just think how much oil we could have bought for 2 or 3 trillion dollars! we could have included R&D for alternative clean energy in that price range.....and how many lives would have been, saved a million or so?)
  • Subroutine · 1 year ago
We'll be more than happy to leave........soon as the last drop of oil has been pumped.....
  • Gryphen · 1 year ago
The Iraqis want us out. So it is time to bring our troops home.

That is the end of the fucking debate.

This story had better lead every evening newscast or we can label our MSM as puppets of this administration and they ALL should be boycotted.

Maliki gave Obama a gift with this announcement.

    Tehran or Hanoi?

    Hanoi or Tehran?

    Po-ta-to.

    Pah-tah-to.

For a neo-con like Grampa McSame a day without warfare is a complete, total waste of time. He'll make do.
