If anyone doesn't understand the difference between the intelligence of Progressives and Conservatives and those who don't know what day it is when they awaken (in the middle) then watch the very beginning of this video. As soon as Obama mentions the fact McCain says he wants you to believe he is the agent of change, they start laughing before he even finishes his statement. It proves they are individual thinkers and don't buy what is spoon fed them. Now, if that were a group of Conservative Republicans, or even people in the middle, he would not get much of a response. They would stare at him like doe-eyed sheep... or cows chewing their cud. There certainly is a big difference in the intelligence of the two groups and I'm proud to be a member of the more intelligent Progressive group. Oh yeah, there are a few smart people in the Republican's camp but they are the men behind the curtain pulling the rest of their strings and getting the stupid Wal-Mart Republicans to vote against their self interest.

Perfectly phrased, the low or no information voter is more likeley to vote repug because its quick and easy to understand. It hurts their lives but that 5 second sound bite sounds great.

Lobbyists...(sorry have posted this story before here several times but you will like it.)

A buddy of mine from Yale days went on to Yale Law (knew Hill and Bill). After law school, he became head attorney at Blue Cross Blue Shield. He ran the legal department for his whole career. His sole purpose was to find legal loopholes in your policy language to DENY you claims. He retired about five years ago and they gave him $22 Million as his farewell and thanks for a job well done golden handshake. I asked him, "How the fuck can an HMO pay ONE fucking lawyer that kind of obscene money just to retire????"

His answer was...."You are SO naive about K Street".

This isn't just about changing DC. This election is about changing America and the way the world sees us so we can return to being respected and get things done. When it comes to that kinda of change McCain has no room to manuever.

For five and a half years, there were no lobbyists in Washington acting on behalf of POWs! And now this uppity upstart spits on the lobbyists who have served America, and John McCain, who is a war hero and POW, so bravely and so well!

    PALIN
    PUTIN
    ...
    PUTIN
    PALIN
    ...
    HUMMMM... The Posibilities seem endless.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Speaking of Putin, did you see the idiot Republicans talking about her foreign policy experience and saying she was close enough to stare into "those famous eyes of Putin." Again, the Republicans, by referencing Putin's eyes, are showing just how ignorant they are. They are pointing Americans back to Bu$h's famous statement he stared into Putin's eyes and could see his good soul. Republicans prove their stupidity by proving they can't remember what Bu$h said and how absolutely disastrously wrong it was from him to proclaim he could judge Putin's soul. Instead they brag about Sarah's close proximity to Putin? Bunch of 'tards! All of 'em.

McBush wants to roll with Rove and pretend he's against lobbyists when his campaign is crawling with them.

    Call. it. out.
    It's never been done before.
Obama needs to say this on Fox!!! Tell it to O'Reilly...

I like how that article gives all these grand announcements of interviews in a few days, or soon, or whatever but then there is this little gem:

"McCain campaign manager Rick Davis said Sunday that Palin would be made available "when we think it's time and when she feels comfortable doing it."

Always giving themselves an out. If it doesn't happen next week they can just say "see we told you WHEN WE THINK IT'S TIME..."

    Typical...

As SOON as there is some sort of announcement, we all need to flood the ABC website with suggested questions. And I think the personal life stuff will not be touched anyway by any mainstream media types anyway, so fine, ask about book banning, or global warming, or why Iraq War is God's Plan, or her crazy pastor, or why she was for the bridge before....oh forget it, he'll be all gaga and tell her how amazing and strong she is and the people will eat it up and life will go on....

    Sigh.....
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Yeah, Charlie'd be as worthless an interviewer as Howdy Doody.
McCain's local teevee interviewers were given a very quick hustle this afternoon I'm told by sources...

Ahem, they think everyone's stupid because they keep voting for them. STOOPIDs!
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
John: i disagree he is the same man. in 2004 no one was interested in what he had to say. He had no solutions, he had no disagreements with Bush on policy, economics, or foreign policy. If you drive a Chevy who is in power why drive a Chevy that isn't. There was no difference between the two and the voters saw that. That is why Rove picked Palin she would be perceived as being different. Not part of the Republican old guard. Nothing is going to change but Republicans are smart enough not to vote for McCain who is Bush. They will vote for Palin cause the think there is something differenct, right wing and Ultra Christian but different. They don't take the time to read. The average American reads 3 books a year. I read one a week. On the other hand the Average american watches 14560 hours of tv.

    http://malaysia.answers.yahoo.com/question/inde...

The information the public relies on comes from the talking liars on tv. Everything is a 30 second sound bite.

I want to know what is going to happen Monday when Wall Street tries to digest our government taking over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Folks, that is a LOT of money being doled out by us taxpayers to pay for the Republican "Ownership Society" that never materialized. It is one more example of bad judgment by those who voted for Bu$h twice. I think ANYONE who voted for Bu$h twice should simply be DISQUALIFIED from voting because of the damage they've done to our country. If those people want to put COUNTRY FIRST instead of their overblown egos then they need to stay the hell home on ELECTION DAY and let those of us with a brain select the next President!

Oh this story is REAL pretty! Apparently Johnny McCain pushed a disabled woman in a wheel chair when he lost his temper???? Nice. Real nice.

I saw this speech in it's entirety. Obama needs to be repeating this:

    "They must think you're stupid"

(McCain+Palin: "Vote for us because we screwed up!")

Meanwhile, Biden has come out fighting too!

    http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/du...

    HE DESTROYS PALIN!

Biden says: "I'm not going to give them hell. I'm going to tell the truth and they WILL think it's Hell!!!

    :-)

I get exhausted listening to Keating Five McCain talking about how he is going to go after corrupt politicians. Its the same old story with him. He thinks he can SIN over and over again as long as he has some sort of cosmic "Aha! I'm bad!" moment and then goes after all those people he was in league with. Same goes with his marriage and womanizing. The man just doesn't see his hypocrisy, at all. Someone that has participated so much in all those problems he is trying to fix needs to just SHUT THE HELL UP and let those that HAVEN'T lead.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Putting McCain in the White House and expecting him to fold to the money is like putting Bill Clinton in a cabin with the Brazillian woman's volleyball in a weekend team building experinece and not expecting Bill to break those rock solid marriage vows.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
    not fold to money

I'm thinking that if McCain is serious about an administration of change, he'd better start looking for fresh new people. He does not want to be linked to Bush, but every person in his campaign team is a Bushie! Right down to Karl Rove, all the Bushies are now working to elect McCain. On January 20, they won't even have to change the names on the parking spots at the White House. Possibly they can use most of the present business cards? It could be the new "parlor game"! Name all George Bush's people you now see on the Slick Talk Express!
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
What kind of change does Keating Five, polygamous cheating McCain think he is going to bring?

How many more scandals is he going to get caught up in, somehow punish himself and then claim he is going to clean it all up? I'm not buying it. He can't just keep screwing things up and trying to fix what he caused and call it change!
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
totally! the architect of the most politicized administration in history is running McBush's show.

i do not see why the Obama campaign doesn't hit on that. Everyone knows Rove is a liar, even the GOPers. The turdblossom is not change we can believe in!
  • Bubbles · 1 year ago
He should have said: "They must think WE'RE stupid".
