AMERICAblog: Obama blasts McCain

  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
I hope he does...live on TV so everyone can see that famous rage...I mean, who in their right mind would want that finger on the red button?
  • stranded · 1 year ago
I am SO ready for the general, when this guy gets to blast those tired old conservative talking points with this kind of precision bombing.

McCain can have Lindsey Graham there whenever he puts his foot in his mouth over foreign policy matters.

    No worries.

I think it's a mistake to even mention McCain's name. Most Americans probably don't even know who he is, and they never will if he can't raise LOTS more money. Why provide him with free publicity? He's about to become the answer to a really tough trivia question in the very near future: "Who did President Obama run against in 2008?" Who cares what the goddamned old fool says? Why do you think the Repukes let him have the nomination, anyway? They know there's no hope for them this year. McCain's a throw-away, and that's how we should treat him: Like Dubya's used Kleenex.

Finally, Democrats have a candidate who can take the republifascist mud and sling it back in their face.
  • vwcat · 1 year ago
Obama is having great fun with McCain. lol.
I don't think democrats have to worry about Obama being like Dukakis or Kerry. Obama loves to throw elbows and will be heard from
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I agree completely. Obama will verbally eviscerate McBush.
  • scytherius · 1 year ago
This tough fought primary has been THE best thing for Obama. He is gonna tear McCain apart. McCain has had to buy into the Republican lie. And, until now, no one has confronted that lie which, like a house of cards, is going to collapse. This is going to be FUN FUN FUN!!!!
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
Obama is going to eat McCain alive.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
Maybe future posts should only be about Obama successfully attacking McSame.

It's time to ignore that woman in the pantsuit!

    Who?

    :-)

    scottinsf ,

I don't mean that Obama should let attacks go unanswered. Look where that got Kerry, Gore, Dukakis, Mondale, etc. I just don't think he should use McNut's NAME:
    Just, "Bush & Co have said that I . . . "
Or "This failed President's candidate keeps parroting the same line."
Maybe,"My opponent can't seem to remember what his boss, George W. Bush, said back in 2002."
Run against Bush, since that's all McCain is, anyway. Force him to distance himself, somehow, from this Administration, and lose the support of his base. Keep him on the defensive, in an inferior position, deprived of even a name. I wouldn't even debate him. And bury him in advertising.

Cool. Sounds like we're definitely on the same page then.

McCain wants tax cuts for the top 1 percent instead of Webb's GI Bill and doesn't give a shit that our troops don't have the proper body armor as long as he can gets pats on the head by enlistmentphobes like Jonah Goldberg and William Kristol

Oh, so good. Obama needs to take the gloves off soon. I hope he prods and pokes at McCrazy until he blows his top, in front of live TV cameras.
  • caerbannog · 1 year ago
I see the upcoming campaign as Obama's Bugs Bunny vs. McCain's Tasmanian Devil.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Obama coax out McCain's inner Tasmanian Devil.
  • therepguy · 1 year ago
Someone needs to start a nation office pool as to when and how frequently this new republican fascist placeholder, John McCain blows his top/!

There some real money to be made out there in the coming months!
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
Once again, perfect. It is nice to see Obama relentlessly attacking McBush. This is great. ...and McCain deserves it. He has had a free pass w/ the press for his entire career.

    GO BARACK.

GO OBAMA! FInally a candidate willing and able to strike out against the enemy! I too am hoping to see Insane McCain in a total mental melt-down for the cameras in prime time. But be sure that some of the medication is, I am sure, intended to mute Insane's volcanic temper tantrums.

To FunMe and scottinsf: Who was that shrill woman in the pantssuit anyway?
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
The more I hear from Obama the more I'm impressed. My first choice was Edwards but the facts that Obama has withstood the attacks from the Clintons and McCain just fine and has been great in his own attacks on McCain really impresses me. I think we have a really good candidate this year; one who fights back wholeheartedly and concisely while having built up a strong grassroots coalition is something we haven't seen for a while.

Obama has the brains to figure things out and chart a new course. But, he doesn't want to be like the fly on the windshield of a car going 100 MPH, where the last thing that goes thru his mind is his asshole....
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
O&W, I have a "present" for you..... Just sayin.....
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
cosanostradamus----I can completely see where you are coming from but I think Obama is just starting to hit his stride on cleary showing the connections between the Bush policies and McCains policies. I agree that McCain is a throwaway and he is soon to be evicerated and worn down to nothing but a long list of gaffes, contradictions and doubts as to his competence to handle the job of POTUS. In the end I see some interesting changes in the final electoral map on elction day that we didn't have four years ago.
