AMERICAblog: Obama calls McCain "naive" and "irrerponsible"

Meanwhile, the Saudis tell Bush to "take a hike, boy."

    1. Can we get a spell check on the title of the post, I'm thinking irrerponsible isn't quite right....
    2. This article, by an AP write no less, is pretty darn good. It basically echoes what you said earlier that Obamas response to Bushs Nazi quip was brutal and quick, just the way it should have been.

No swiftboating will be tolerated in 08.

Analysis: Obama reacts fast to Bush on diplomacy
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
I can't get over how dull and whiny McCain is at the podium...he might want to try Bob Dole's trick of a death grip on a pencil.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Does anyone really believe the Barrack Obama with his nonproductive years as an Illnois legislature and his one year in the Senate (before spending all his time campaigning) knows anything about foreign affairs beyond knowing that France is where his white wine comes from and Germany builds his BMWs?

    ----

Of course he does, pea brain.

At least enough to know the Chimp has screwed up tremendously and McCrazy is following in the Chimp's footsteps.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
And, by the way, McCrazy has been long known as the dumbest man in the Senate.

Now he appears determined to prove it.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Obama has more foreign policy experience that the do-nothing gov of Texas had before the SC court appointed him president.

Besides, Obama has a brain...and knows how to put competent, intelligent people around him--real advisors, not loyalist Neocon criminals.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
And who can forget McCain's early #1 hit: the Feb 6, 2006 letter to Obama, pissily and sarcastically accusing his younger colleague of personal betrayal over some legislation, long since forgotten.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Oh, big deal about McCrazy.

He slept through a bunch of committee meetings.

Everything he's saying now proves that whatever he did in the Senate hasn't taught him a thing.
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
Obama will make McCain look like a senile old fart.

Not that he doesn't do that all by himself.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
He IS a senile old fart. No "look like" about it. BTW, Obama has raised almost half a billion dollars for his campaign, the majority from small donors.

Tell me this country isn't ready for change, no matter how the MSM and the Rethugs and Clinton try to spin it. Who? : )
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Of course, ViceRoy feels a kinship with McCrazy.

Since McCrazy was last in his class in Annapolis and ViceRoy was last in his class as White Trash Junior College.
  • FrankSea · 1 year ago
Poor McCrazy, he's going to be pissed now! (Watch out Cindy)
  • Jim Olson · 1 year ago
Oh, Obama needs to goad McCrazy every chance he gets, especially in debates. McCrazy needs to lose his mind in front of 20 million viewers, I mean, voters.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    BTW:

Sounds like Huck auditioning for McCain's Veep job.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Bush Bites, I hope the Secret Service is investigating Huckleberry. He deserves it for his comments about Obama...you know he gave some nutjob out there an idea or two. That scares me.
  • Grimmlok · 1 year ago
    "Irrerponsible"

Hello, spellcheck for the title.. it's a bit embarrassing.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Given the racism in the Secret Service, I'm not too sure.

Iran's Jewish population is the second largest in the Middle East, after Israel.

    -----

And McCain wants to kill them all.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Ayatollah issued a fatwa saying "leave the Jews alone."

He did the same thing to the much smaller Christian community too.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
They'll be fine unless Bush or McCain tries to invade.

Just like the Christians were fine in Iraq until Bush invaded, now they're all running for their lives.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Is that what Fox News has been telling you?
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
Huckaduck apparently makes an apology. Didn't mean anything by his joke. Don't these racist bigots understand that they can't speak their mind, get caught and then say "hey, I didn't mean anything by it".

This is the perfect example of Republican Christianity at work. Lets shoot the black, call him "tar baby", "boy". These truly are the most reprehensible maggots to ever walk on two legs. The days of the redneck, closet racist are coming to an end. I wonder how they are going to like taking direction from this uppity black man from Illinois. I know for me I can't wait to see him raise his hand and be sworn in as our President.

Obama declared: "If they want a debate about protecting the United States of America, that’s a debate I’m ready to win…”

How would Barack Hussein Obama respond, as President of the United States, if American interests in Kenya – such as our embassy – were to become the target of a terrorist attack?
This is not an unrealistic scenario. We all remember the U.S. embassy bombings in 1998 when over 200 civilians where killed and more than 4000 injured in Nairobi. Terrorist could, hypothetically speaking, test President B. Hussein Obama’s promise of protecting the American people (as in “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”) and his resolve to fight global terrorism simply by staging bloody attacks in Kenya. Kenya shares borders with Islamist states such as Sudan and Somalia. Barack Hussein Obama belongs ethnically to the Luo Peoples who live, not only in Kenya, but also in southern Sudan. Would Obama be decisive in his response to a terror attack against American interests in Kenya? Or would he tread cautiously simply because he is part Kenyan? Would Hussein Obama be capable of protecting Americans and American interests in East Africa? Would Obama be afraid of loosing the support of the African-American voter if he was faced with the task of fighting terrorism in Kenya? Would that make him a weak President? On FBI’s list of Most Wanted Terrorists we find Al-Qaeda member Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah. A terrorist listed as responsible of the embassy bombings. He is believed to be hiding in the Puntaland region of Somalia. Just across the boarder from Barack Hussein Obama’s Fatherland. Isn’t Barack Hussein Obama – if seen from a terrorist perspective – the perfect candidate for President of the United States?

I am sure that McCain is deeply hurt that a man with the vast foreign policy experience, not to mention years of intense study of world affairs and service overseas n the miliitary should think him "nairve." After all, with Obama we have the wonderful prospect of a second Jimmy Carter term where foreign affairs are concerned, you know, where if your enemy kidnaps your people you send him a bible and a cake. Does anyone really believe the Barrack Obama with his nonproductive years as an Illnois legislature and his one year in the Senate (before spending all his time campaigning) knows anything about foreign affairs beyond knowing that France is where his white wine comes from and Germany builds his BMWs? What a joke, except the American people are not laughing. Maybe he should ask Rev. Wright about how to deal with the world?.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
    Yawn
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
    Viceroy, that, simple put...

    worst. comment. ever.

Seriously, what an inane bunch of drivel. Germany builds his BMW, seriously, is that the best you got? Considering that McCain is a multi-millionaire, trying to use the elitist rhetoric is pretty laughable.

It simply amazes me that every 4 years the GOP finds people like you who are duped into believing a bunch of fantasy. Not withstanding the fact that both Bushs were multi-millionaires, the American people were still dense enough to buy the image of them as the common "every man". It is almost laughable to think that someone who is as privileged as McCain would have anyone attempting to paint his opponent as an elitist. Obama IS the very opitime of the American dream in my opinion. His law degree from Harvard was not purchased with family money, every thing he has from his family to his possessions can be traced directly back to the path he has made in his own life. Meanwhile, his other two "competitors" are both multimillionaire well-connected politicians who have the gall to paint themselves as some type of working mans hero.

No wonder so many other countries think we are a joke, we have almost self-medicated away our ability to think about things in a rational way.

Also, as an aside, being in the military doesn't give you some automatic super-perspective on foreign policy. Unless you get to be a general or something, most of your time is spent being spoonfed whatever the higher ranking officers want you to know. Don't get me wrong, the very nature of the military to tightly control the ideology and information its soldiers are exposed to is the essence of them being effective. That being said, just because you once wore a uniform does not some foreign policy expert make. Whenever I think of McCains foreign policy accumen I'm reminded of him strolling through baghdad dolled out in body armor, soldiers flanking him on all sides and helicopters overhead, yet having to "insight" to assert that somehow everything was A-OK in Iraq.

In other words, ladies and gentlemen, avoid the little tedious things like facts, just let the GOP brainwash you into a pleasant numbness and enjoy the next 8 years of rot and decay almost assured by a McCain victory in November.

What?! Is that compared to George Bush who couldn't find the United States on a map, doesn't know the difference between Washington State, Washington DC or for that matter George Washington? George Bush who wouldn't be able to tell you which globe represented earth as opposed to Mars, Venus or Jupiter? George Bush the illiterate? George Bush who actually flunked his college courses and was awarded his degrees because of the political power and prestige of his father.

Or the silly charge that Obama is a Hitler appeaser? I suppose that doesn't include how Prescott Bush supported Hitler before and during WWII or that Bush's father and Bush himself felt obligated when visiting Germany to make a pilgrimage to the Getapo cemetary which, incidentally, Cheney also had to pay his respects when he was in that country.

Is this the same George Bush who before his presidency was afraid to travel beyond the borders of this nation and in fact, minimized his foreign travel during his first term in office and only gradually began to travel overseas. Of the idiot who tried to go packing not only into the debate with Kerry, but but also when having an audience with Queen Elizabeth.

Is this the same Bush who vacations about 6 months of every year and then works out for 4 hours in the morning, and then goes to bed by 9:00 pm every evening. The hop head, drunkard, who claims to have gone cold stone sober when he took Jesus as his savior. Bush who also says that he doesn't need to consult with his father on foreign affairs as he consults with a much higher power.

Bush, the wise, experienced foreign policy expert and diplomat non par excellance who served hot dogs to Prince Philip at Crawford and then years later, served them to the Queen. Who molested the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, at a summit meeting. When finally forced to have a formal White House dinner for Queen Elizabeth, had to be coached for weeks on formal dinner manners and then Laura and the rest of the administration prayed he didn't disgrace himself with a fart or a burp.

Are you talking about our six gun wielding cowboy president who is terrified of horses, and cows? I'd guess he also doesn't like big dogs, only small ones like Barney who he can bully. Oh yeah, don't forget the frogs that, as a boy, he used to blow up by sticking firecrackers up their behinds.

Are you talking about George Bush who would be outscored by Barney, his dog, if they both were tested on international affairs, history, diplomacy, statesmanship, character, integrity, honor, etc.

Foreign policy? What bullshit. Bush the younger has made the US the worlds most hated nation and Bush the elder sold anti-tank missiles to Iran in exchange for holding the hostages until after Ronald Rayguns election. Of course grandpappy Prescott Bush was charged with trading with the enemy, no less than the Nazi party in 1942.

    Treason runs in the family.
