"Let me tell you something, instead of borrowing my lines he needs to borrow our ideas." ---another good line.

It's a start but as you astutely said, it's gotta be consistent. And that is something Democrats DO NOT EVER DO. They move aimlessly from topic to topic and never let a narrative be drilled home. It's unfortunate to say but most of the electorate needs things spelled out for them and we as Democrats always assume that people can connect all the various disparate dots on their own. THEY DON'T.

I loved his reference to the Bridge to Nowhere.

Cost to Lehman for running its sign over Times Square: $500k a year. Even the sign was overpaid.

McCain's remark made me think of Bush.......everything's great regardless of what reality is.

If a Republican says black is white and white is black,

then, black is white and white is black.

    See?

    OT

Biden mentioned the latest caging gambit in his speech this morning and progressives in Michigan are gearing up for it:

Stop McCain's Plan to Deny Votes of People Who Have Lost Their Homes

Sign below and tell John McCain and the Republican Party to stop their outrageous plans to prevent Michigan residents who have lost their homes to foreclosures from voting this November!

Republican Party officials have admitted they plan to suppress the vote in November of families that have lost their homes.

Still didn't knock McCains head off, but at least he's got a little bit of umph behind that swing. I hope as he gets good feedback his team feels more empowered to really start laying into McCain.

Agree, could have said He had a "bridge to nowhere" he could sell. And, Biden lulled them to sleep with his speech today. Forget all the long-winded bs about
Wall Street today, keep it simple. These Wall Street crooks are jumping ship with millions of $$ in their pockets. And, for christ sakes, quit referring to JM as "John". He is either John McCain or plain McCain. Neither Obama nor Biden should be on a first name basis with that scumbag anymore...

It's a brand new day for the Obama campaign. Obama and Biden kicked ass today. Their new ad is strong. The economic meltdown reminds people what's at stake in this election.

as others have said, the Dems are good at throwing the occassional jab, let's see if they can throw combinations for 10 rounds. Right now we need repetition, not just a snappy one-liner.

".....(Obama) quipped that if you believed those lobbyists were working for the Arizona senator only to put themselves out of business “I’ve got a bridge to sell you up in Alaska.”"
Brilliant. Barack Obama articulates his point in a single sentence what required a 45 minute speech from John Kerry, no disrespect intended to Mr Kerry.
Obama obviously understands the American attention span, for better or worse, and her appetite for sound bites, as opposed to public 'policy discussions' that makes everybody's head hurt.
I'm encouraged. Voices are beginning to be heard, thanks mostly, in my opinion, to Ameriblog, DKos, Media Matters, TP Memo, HuffPo, MoveOn.org, BradBlog and so many other professionally and publicly responsible political news sites. The national print and broadcast organizations have no choice but to report the myriad lies of McCain/Palin, unless they have a death wish to perpetually drag behind the news curve in competition with the blogs.
Don't get me wrong.....I'm happy the MSM is beginning to expose McCain for what he has become, as well as exposing the blatant lies about Obama's tax plan, as well as every other position Obama has taken. But I think we all know the true motivation of corporate news is, first and foremost, to try and staunch the flow of readers away from its pages. In other words.....money. The mainstream media is attempting to regain its financial footing by taking the novel risk of actually investigating stories and honestly reporting the facts. You may feel better now about the newspapers and broadcasters finally coming around to calling a spade a spade, but just remember: The blogs made 'em do it! We can't ever forget this fact.
I believe history will look back on the phenomena of our first generation of political news blogs and record them as modern-day Paul Reveres. But, that's just my opinion.

Yes! Obama/Biden doing a great job of exposing McCain for the liar and incompetent fool he is. Americans have to wake up and vote intelligently in this election, we cannot afford another McBush administration!
