AMERICAblog: Obama hits McCain poor record on energy

  • KISSman · 1 year ago
This is a GREAT ad. If I were Obama, I'd be blitzing every swing state with this right now.

Doesn't matter what you or I like, we are going to vote for Obama in November. It is the independents that need to be persuaded to vote for Obama/Biden.

McCain said the economy won't go south:

Of course that was last year.

Some people can't figure out why Obama and McCain are in such a close race. I really believe it is because some Repugs will NEVER vote for a Democrat; some Repugs and probably some Democrats sadly will NEVER vote for a black man.

No matter what McCain says, no matter what McCain does, the die-hard repugs will vote for him. They just can't bring themselves to vote for a young black man no matter if they might believe McCain is lying, is confused, is going to lead the country in the wrong direction. These repugs JUST CAN'T BRING THEMSELVES to look at the issues and who might be best to bring America out of this terrible quagmire. It's not that they don't care about America, they just don't care enough to ever change. They believe somehow McCain will come to his senses and do what is right. But we will never know; McCain has us so confused with one day saying one thing and the next day saying the opposite.

This election is truly scary. McCain is a changed man. He is being managed and he is not really in charge of his own campaign. I think he really hates what he is doing sometimes but doesn't have the strength or will to stand up to Rove, etc. McCain wants to win this election so badly he has sold his soul to his managers who have promised him the gold ring. And they will deliver by hook or by crook; most likely by crook.

The national numbers don't worry me.

I'm just watching the state-by-state stuff, and it's finally starting to turn around there.

Remember: McCain's going to kill Obama in the South and that will always skew the national totals.

Did you see the Obama Social Security ad?

I wish they'd go national with it. It's a natural to talk about how privatization would have destroyed everybody's retirements today.

I wish Sarah would find a camera and tell us how this makes her feel.

It's the beginning of the Palin Plunge. To know her is to be terrified of her holding ANY office.

When is the media going to ask McCain how he intends to vote on this?

    http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Bill_would_end_Bu...

It's just a Democracy at stake.

    Keep 'em coming!!!
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
pertty good, by why not list each bill he did not support, over how many years, etc. It would be much more factual. Or refer us to his website we can see all the facts. Voters really deserve more...
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
The purpose of the ad was the tax breaks to the oil companies....
    that's my thought

    It's the economy, stupid.

And it's the new Voter Registrations, stupid. Tell everyone you know (who would vote Obama) to register before the end of September!!!

Kind of related; It was announced today in San Jose that they are going to build the new Tesla electric car factory there. They say It'll bring in 1000 good paying jobs by 2010. Sure it's a drop in the bucket but it's more forward thinking than Detroit. The Bay Area will continue to thrive and areas like Detroit with out of touch corporations and politicians will rust away into obscurity.

scott, that's great news. Yes, Northern California is the region of change. Just look at the revolution NC gave us in the seventies....computers anyone?
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Oops, PCs. And that started in Job's parent's garage.
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
Hi Karol. I might've been a little harsh on Detroit. There are some great, hardworking people all over Michigan but the people there need to clean house with their current politicians, democrats and republicans. And the big three automakers? Well, I think they're hopeless. It's sad really.

    Like Pain? Vote McCain!
  • mf_roe · 1 year ago
The real question for this election is very basic, We are in the midst of a huge change in the status and future of our county. There is no turning back, the past is gone, what is needed is someone with the skill to guide us through the most dangerous period of our history since the Civil War. The requirements are clear and the qualifications of the choices are also clear.
