And there's a brand-new 30-second spot ad: "Seven" This is more like it! But wait for the right-wing outrage machine to accuse Obama of class warfare and denigrating a former POW who deserves a successful life after all the torture he was subjected to by godless, homosexual Oriental Communists who hate the American Dream!

    Start the commerical off with:

    1?....then a second later 2?...then3?....then 4?5?6?7? in quick succession.

A print ad would be so simple:

    1,2,3,4,5,6,7?

Rush played Obama's entire campaign ad on the radio. That's exposure to 20 million people. Who says negative ads don't work? Obama's even got Limbaugh carrying water for him...
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
    Sweet!
    Wham...Bam!

I want every Elected Democrat interviewed today to stay on this topic.

( McCain has no events planned today....so the Democrats have the whole day to go at this.)
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
Well, old Johnny boy does only 1 campaign function per day. he really can't handle more than that. so If Obama gets in the news each day, he will get more coverage.

the McCain campaign know he can't keep it together for the long days fo campaigning and he will be saying stupid $hit that they have to explain and cover up.

So if Obamb keeps hitting back they will have to send surrogates to do Johnny's dirty work.

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/08...

hit him back on the economy. Hammer it home. And just why does McCain have to ask his staff how many houses he has? If you ask him something about his policies….will he have to check with them too. OK whose day is it to baby sit Johnny?

  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
yes! the message needs to be coordinated to ensure all elected Today is Thursday and the message we all need to be on is: out of touch with the normal folk and doesn't know how many houses he owns. GO!
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
    People,

I just want someone to ask McCain how he intends to defeat "The Love of Money".

After all, that is the root of all Evil, unless McCain is calling him a liar!
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Here's where McCain owns a $4.6 million condo.

    http://www.2211camelback.com/

    (Seriously.)

Somebody has to capture this and put John and Cindy's faces into the montage.
  • 1970cs · 1 year ago
What percentage of the American people know that McCain's economic advisor was the architect of this policy? Undecided voters have not seen this is my guess.

Obama needs to mention McCain's houses in every speech he gives between now and November. EVERY SPEECH.
  • RossTory · 1 year ago
The McSames obviously can't live in all of these homes at the same time. It begs the question - who have been staying in these homes and are they gaining any income from them? Or, are they merely guest houses for lobbyist and those they have or need influence over?
Somebody needs to start an investigation. I'll bet there are some closets in these homes that might have a skeleton or two.
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
Yessss! Finally! I hope Obama keeps hammering at his rich out of touch life style, and by the way, it wouldn't hurt to talk about those $520 shoes, when people can't feed their families. I love it.
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
The gold plated toilet bowls in houses 3-6 are a nice touch.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
He does one Hell of a Reagan impression:

    "I don't know...ask my staff...my friends, it doesn't matter does it"?

Is The Love of Money still the root of all evil, Senator McCain?

9 houses into it and you still don't know if you've become calloused?
  • 4dogs · 1 year ago
I think there should be more ads over the inside of McCains zillion dollar homes. Let's give America a tour and see how they really live. Oh baby!
This is music to my ears.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Here's a scene from one of their secondary homes.

The hot tub where they do The Nasty.

    (shudder)
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
YES! This is what we need. Keep piling on this house gaffe!

Awesome to see this line of attack. McCain has gotten away with saying the most outrageous shit and this is a perfect opportunity to hit him hard on it.
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
I can picture Senator McCain sitting down at his harpsichord after tea and playing a minuet:

  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
And Cindy walks carrying his brandy and wearing a teddy.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Such clutter! All those framed photos all over the place! Doesn't Cindy have any gay friends besides Lindsey Graham to advise on trends in home decor?!
  • CitizenVA · 1 year ago
What I don't get, is how McCain can run an ad stating that "Americans are worse off than they were four years ago" when he's claiming the economy is doing so well...

Glad to see that Obama is finally starting to hit back!

    CVA
  • eliot99 · 1 year ago
I caught almost the entire event on ustream. He hit McCain on more than houses. Nearly every policy addressed, he hit McCain on his absurd alternative (lack of) plan. He even hit Rove by name and talked about what they did to Kerry. Looks like he's making the turn and I'm VERY glad to see it.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Damn!

Let's get some 527s up and running!

We're coming after you Old Man !!!!
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
I gave Obama $25 yesterday and today he's rock' n.

    Dude!
  • Django · 1 year ago
In the long run, does this truly matter? Seriously. The people who are going to vote for John McCain (which includes nearly everyone who intended to vote for Hillary)- don't care if McCain owns the Grand Canyon: until the Obama team can come up with something truly substantive - like, worthy of criminal investigation - they won't give a hot shit in a snowstorm. Their psychosis is too great, and Bill and Hill are making every effort to boost it up. in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the McCain people made Barack look bad for even making it an issue.

This is 'lapel-pin' stuff, OK? It just ain't thick enough. We need more - NOW.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
True! There are plenty of truly substantive issues where Obama can take McCain apart. This is trite and small minded. When Obama makes hay I hope he is uses the real issues like McCain's record on the Iraq War, flip-flops on religious/moral issues, etc. Another point is that inorder to use this stuff effectively, Obama can't just say these things once. He needs to use the old repetition technique or the left has to do it for him so everyone hears the truth and hears it often enough to believe it. The old big lie and repetition are effective Republican tools but Obama can be far more effective as he is telling the truth. The high road actually belongs to us and not to the Republicans.
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
This does matter. The fact is Obama is on the offensive with this. Something we haven't been seeing much of. He needs to hammer McCain when he says stupid shit (which is often). This is more than the issue of how many homes McCain has, this is about calling his idiotic statements what they are.
This will resonate with the public if done consistently.

    Attack, attack, attack!
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
right. americans don't elect presidents for their skills or ideas, unfortunately. they elect them for their character and personality, as they perceive it to be. the perception is going to be manipulated by special interests with gobs of money and that's where you have to push back. by now we should know that substantive issues and the skills you bring to the table are less than half the game.
  • Django · 1 year ago
Now THIS is what I'm talking about:
    http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/08/21/mccain...

If they can only find a way to get it to come out of Barack's mouth, he might be on to something that'll actually stick...
  • nsr · 1 year ago
Oh yeah. See, the thing that' s been so aggravating about the last few weeks, we know he's got it in him for stuff like this. He's not some stiff like Kerry, Gore, Dukakis, Mondale, Carter... He's incredibly sharp, and he's got verbal judo skills on a par with The Big Dog himself. It was just unreal for him to suddenly be playing a wimp. THIS is what he has to be to win-- kicking butt and taking names. WOOO!
