I'm not saying what McCain & Hillary are doing to Obama is borne out of racism per se, but to me, it has an uncomfortable sort of parallel to pile-on-the-n****r shenanigans that are so often employed by racists. A bunch of white folk gather around one black person, try to make him uncomfortable, try to put him on the defensive, try to intimidate him and scare him into doing or saying something so stupid, so when/if that stupid thing happens, the whites can throw their hands up and say "Ya See? N*****s! Ya can't trust them! Sooner or later, they all act like animals!"
Now, to be fair, It doesn't have to even be a racist attack. It just has to be an all of vs. one of them mentality whoever the "us" is and the "them" is. Could be any group of bullies against any one individual. But Obama is a smart man, with a great many accomplishments under his belt, POSITIVE accomplishments, in a relatively short epriod of time. It's not enough for McCain & Clinton to make him look less qualified then they are. They're trying to make him look inept, ignorant, and unworthy to be even considered for the job, as well as "merely" unqualified. it's a sort of marginailzation of the man that is grossly unfair. The fact that so many Americans SEE it as unfair, and are making their displeasure knowsn, should be telling Clinton & mcCain and the media that surrounds them something about their character attacks. The fact that it does not tell them anything, tells US something about THEIR character.

. And we all thought Bob Dole was a bad GOP Candidate in 1996... McCain will lose his temper in a debate...he'll get all red in the face. That HDTV will not do him any favors. .

Based upon recent statements by Obama, it is he who is out of touch with average working class Americans, who don't go to cocktail parties will millionaires, and who would never tolerate their pastor making hatefilled statements about their fellow countrymen and their nation. Just one question? If Obama is so hot, how come he can't knock out Hillary, the woman probably most despised in America? The answer is that Obama's appeal has gone just about as far as it can, which is to say to just a thin majority of even the very leftist Democratic Party. McCain is far from unbeatable, but he is going to win in November because the Democratic Party refuses to nominate someone that is "in touch" will real average Americans. As John F. Kennedy would have said: "No class!"
McMaverick hasn't got a prayer.
