AMERICAblog: Obama mocks McCain for saying he'll take on "the old boys network." "In the McCain campaign, that's called a staff meeting."

  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
i don't like the word "mocks"...it's too frivolous

i like "rejects" or "ninjas" or something tougher...

No, mock is exactly the right word. It does mean frivolous. It means that the value of the item mocked is frivolous and that is what we are talking about here.

I love Obama. The polls are swinging back in his favor. The latest CBS poll even has Obama winning white women. I so want to see Barack and Michelle in the White House. Is it November 4th yet?

I just got home from the Obama rally here in Las Vegas and trust me, there were a whole lot of white women there. MSM is sadly mistaken to think that since McAin't-got-a-Glue-Cain put Miss Alaska on the ticket that all white women would "come hither", then their feelings just got hurt. The rally was great and Obama was on a roll!

Fantastic!!! Obama MUST put this in his TV ads, because God knows the media will never air this line. It needs to be aired and aired and aired and aired!!!!!

I so agree...it should be on short little snippet ad...and aired again and again and again...

    I saw this on HARDBALL....
    WOW!
Even Chris Matthews said...Obama could do this routine on the Borscht Belt.

It was a great short one liner...that people will remember.

I like how Obama is building and building.....didn't peak too soon......
    Palin has peaked....
    McCain never peaked...and never will.

    Good one!

BTW I have a new meme to try out:

    "McCain/Palin: the Pinnocchio Express"

Think about these "poll" numbers....Who are they actually Calling????
I teach online students all across florida....most of my students and their parents have CELL phone...hardly any of them are using Land-line phones anymore. Even more of them are now using Internet phone service.....

I highly DOUBT the people polling are getting a decent cross section of American's...I suspect the ones they are getting are ignorant elderly people who watch Faux Noise. JMHO

    Hardball now showing Obama clips.

I just heard a soundbyte from McCain's new ad. Something about how Obama only offers "talk and taxes" and how he (McCain) will reform wall street. He ends with "I've taken on tougher guys than this before" (gag)

That is the perfect invitation for the Obama campaign to start to re-educate the public on the Keating Five. Let's hear about McCain's "reformist" tendancies.

Wow, I am watching Hardball, and Matthews is kicking Republican ass.

    I know.........wooo hoooo..

it's quite creepy to watch them all suddenly biting the hands that feed them. they must be getting a revised set of marching orders, because this stuff doesn't come from independent thought. I really hope if dems get this election we can get some major media reform instituted (bring back the Fairness Doctrine, etc) because without it we are very much hobbled.

MATTHEWS: I’m just asking you where’s the President of the United States tonight? You got Paulson out there. Where’s the President? He’s pulling one of these Katrinas again. Where is he? The country’s worried like hell when you lose this amount of value in the wealth of this country in a matter of days. You’d think the President would come on television and explain the situation to the American people. I’m just asking where he is. That’s all I’m asking.

CANTOR: Chris, you’ll have to ask — I don’t know where he is. I assume he’s in the White House.

Matthews then says he has never in his life seen a Party run from it's record like this one has.

If he'd followed that zinger up with "OH SNAP," it would have been truly great.

    that hadda hurt. :)

He is one of the most eloquent candidates dems have ever run in an election, I can't think of anyone to compare him to other than JFK. I'm really having to hold back hope here after being so jaded after two stolen elections, but I'm catching myself just imagining that possibly, maybe, this country might have not only a president we can be proud of, but one as eloquent and brilliant as Obama has shown himself to be. I hadn't paid much attention to Michelle Obama but I saw her Ebony cover in the doctors office the other day and she is positively stunning. Could we really have this gorgeous couple as our first lady and president? The minute I saw her photo I understood the dream of Camelot that was embraced by people in my parents' generation (though not my own parents) of this country being truly what it has the potential to be.
