Mayor Daley and his brother Bill are firing back at a new campaign ad by John McCain. The ad refers to Bill Daley as a lobbyist and tries to connect him and Barack Obama to what is called the "corrupt Chicago political machine."

The mayor came out swinging Tuesday in defense of his younger brother Bill...

I love the line from Bill Daley "He (McCain) has left his honor in his uniform". Perfect!

    Andrew Sullivan:

"For God's sake, McCain, stop it. For once in this campaign, put your country first."

Sullivan has it right. I believe more and more people (Republicans and Democrats) understand what is happening but they are sitting back and doing nothing. The far right has always been dangerous, Rush Limbaugh once called for death to all liberals, but they have never had a national leader to stoke their fires. In McCain they have that national concentrated voice.

That clip would be a damn fine ad to run non stop in all states from now until election day. It nails McCain "he has nothing". It would be an ad EVEN uneducated could understand.

    I agree....it would make a great ad.

DANG! What do we need to do to get this put on TV? Jed's site seems to be down from my end ...

This is BRILLIANT. And TRUTHFUL. Even the Neoconanderthals could understand it.

The Repubs have absolutely nothing to offer. Their lower taxes for the wealthy, elimination of the estate tax, privatizing of government, privatization of Social Security and unending support of the CEOs that have run the world into the ground financially don't seem so appealing now. The Bush Supreme Court has allowed corporations to rid themselves of the expense of pensions and substitute 401ks instead. Now those 401ks are worth half of what they were a couple of weeks ago and decreasing rapidly.

Outstanding!!! He called the repukes out on their plan.... This should be a commercial, and Jed should be working for the Obama campaign. Well at least he's on the Obama side. And if you notice he did this little speech extemporaneously. And the man is handsome is he not?

And remember that the GOP accuses Obama of "playing the race card from the bottom of the deck" when he calls out racists for being, well, racist. Like here.

Why doesn't the MSM bring up that Grampy McSame ass-so-si-ates and sleeps with a drug addict. And his wife also should be tired for crimes against the sighted, for being so hideous. I wanted to go as Cindy McCain this Halloween so I bought a "Land of the Lost" Sleestack costume.

Excellent article over on Salon.com about Palin's connections to the Alaska Independence Party. Be sure to listen to the video of Mark Chryson, former chair of the AIP and close, personal friend of Sarah Palin. Quote that was interesting to me: "Just because you say, hey, you're a friend to somebody whose got those views, doesn't mean that you share those views." Oops!

I guess it's OK for Sarah to "pal" around with someone who advocates secession from the US, who thinks Lincoln was wrong to go to war to preserve the Union, and who doesn't think US currency is valid (but I assume takes his oil money from the state), but Obama is a "terrorist" for serving on a board with a radical from 40 years ago.

Well, duh! It worked to defeat Kerry. It worked to defeat Max Clenand! And slime and deflect has worked time and time again. So with no real issues, what else did we expect?

As Dylan said, when you got nothin' you got nothin' to loose.

I'm sending this letter to the editors off today: Remember, this is a great way to get our voices heard/read

Seems as though that Sarah Palin does not much care for the country she is seeking to seve as Vice President. Sarah it would appear has been pallin around with some real un-American terrorists. Using the Karl Rove slime and deflect technique, Mrs. Palin has been attacking Mr. Obama with an old, old story long since discredited in a desperate attempt to deflect attention from her known association with a real domestic terrorist. I'm speaking of the man she calls the first dude, her husband Todd Palin. Because for over 7 years, and until very recently, Todd Palin was a member of AIP, the Alaska Independence Party. The AIP's main goal is to secede from the United States of America. Joe Volger, the founding father of the AIP openely states that he hates everything about the United States. And Sarah has not only been pallin' around with Todd, the domestic terrorist, she was sympathetic enough to the AIP cause that she a personal video taped appearance and speech at their convention.

Words to the effect of people who live in glass Igloos come to mind, don't they?

My advice to Mrs. Palin would be, honey, put those gloves back on, start acting like a lady, and to stop questioning Mr. Obama's patriotism. Because as far as I can see, Senator Obama has never palled around with unpatriotic folks callin' for Illinois to secede from the United States of America. But no doubt about it, you most certainly have.

Get it out, and then come back and give us the info so we can follow up as well. This is serious information, truthful information, that the folks in those rallies of hers need to hear about.

Share the email address with us so that we can fire off emails as well.

    Keep up the great work.
