Maybe he should take a gander at the duty rosters instead of going for photo ops.

How much money are we spending every day in Iraq? THAT needs to be Obama's primary message, NOT whether or not Iraq is peaceful or stable. People need to know how much money we are hemorraging on Iraq EVERY DAY instead of using that money to address our failing infrastructure, and ALL of our own problems here at home.
It's all about the money, honey.

Mr. Obama has shown himself to be very adroit with the tattered remnants of the pathetic Rethug lie machine...

It's that authoritarian mindset. To admit you made a mistake is a sign of weakness.
I was having an argument with a Bush supporter. I said well when Clinton was President, he surrounded himself with the best and the brightest minds he could find. And only after hearing and weighing what each had to say, did he make a decision.
This person responded, Oh please! Bush makes a decision, and even if it is the wrong decision, he has the guts to stick to it.
I thought, WTF! It's hopeless.

Obama and his team have, for the first time among leading Democrats, understood how news cycles work. It's awesome!

Obama plans election kick-off at GOP convention site
Senior political officials tell Politico's Mike Allen that Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).is likely to hold a huge rally Tuesday night in the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, the site of the Republican National Convention from Sept. 1 to 4.
Tuesday is the night of the final Democratic primaries, and the choice of venue is a mischievous, aggressive way for Obama to unofficially kick off the general election campaign against Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.). The location gives huge meaning to the moment, with Obama likely to frame a tough case against his new opponent in the very hall where McCain will accept his party’s nomination.
One of the reasons Obama is going to be a great president is that he don't just want smart people advising him; he wants people smarter than he is advising him. And Obama is "wicked smart"!

Wow! Who said Obama wasn't tough! Looks like Obama just tore McCain's head off and threw it in the high weeds!

repubs see the troops as people they wouldn't want their daughter to marry so it doesn't matter how many of them die. Not country club material and such

Just to watch the trolls freak:
"I, Barack Obama, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
That's what you're going to be hearing a little less than eight months from now, dearies. Get used to it.
As for me, I am so looking forward to being able to truthfully call the person occupying the White House on January 21, 2009 "Mister President".

A-freaking-men! Whenever I have to refer to George as "President" I throw up in my mouth a little. And it's spicy and tangy. Like when you over eat Taco Bell.

We all make mistakes but the number of them is important. Also, how we react to correcting or denying mistakes is significant. On these two scores McSame is faulted. He seems very much like Bush when he errs and refuses to admit errors but becomes very angry at having his errors pointed out. Are these the traits wanted in a US President?

There needs to be some respected research done on the effects upon a person who was tortured in captivity. Is there no effect? Are the effects long-lasting? What is the effect of torture upon those who suffer it? Some analysis needs to be done.
