What a horses ass Lieberman is. He keeps claiming that he is a Democrat.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Sure, just like Zell Miller did four years ago. He may not be as loud as Miller but he is just as bad.

Lieberman lives up to his first syllable anyway.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Now he is praising Palin. That is a new low, a real new low for LIeberman.
  • Jim Olson · 1 year ago
Uh, someone needs to tell Joe Lieberman, the faithful Jew, that Sarah Palin thinks that everyone except her type of Christian is going to hell unless they convert.

Another waste of a night...unless your a nervous throat-clearing freak.

I at least think it's funny that Lieberman got these Repubs to applause for Bill Clinton.
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
    I got that, too.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
And what the hell is wrong with Cindy McCain's face??? Looks like someone took her to the bathroom and scrubbed her face to get rid of makeup. Maybe the GOP thinks she will look more empathetic without make-up, WRONG it just emphasizes her face lift.

I only watched ten minutes of the convention. That's all I could take. Before that Logo Outlaugh which was WAY better!
  • devlzadvocate · 1 year ago
I've seen a couple polls which actually show a narrowing race in Arizona!

WASHINGTON - GOP vice presidential pick Sarah Palin accepted at least $4,500 in campaign contributions in the same fundraising scheme at the center of a public corruption scandal that led to the indictment of Sen. Ted Stevens.

The contributions, made during Palin's failed 2002 bid to become Alaska's lieutenant governor, were not illegal for her to accept. But they show how Palin, a self-proclaimed reformer who has bucked Stevens and his allies, is nonetheless a product of a political system in Alaska now under the cloud of an ongoing FBI investigation.

I want to confess, I supported Lieberman for President in 2004, I even went to a fundraiser at the Edgewater in Seattle for him in 2003, He actually said some partisan remarks about the Republicans. However, I refused to support him or give him money in 2006. I even am more complex by some of his remarks and actions of late. He has raised money for Senate Democratic Election campaign, but he has come so dogmatic to a point of psychotic on Iraq, there is no point even trying to see any intellectual difference between him and the most dogmatic Republicans.

One of the reason I supported LIeberman back in 2003 was for cynical reason, I thought someone who was moderate enough could disarm some of the worst of the Republican attacks in 2004.

Two things about seeing Lieberman in person, he is a pretty small guy, (I am over 6') and he was kind of like every politician, because he wants to be everyone's best friend at the fundraiser.

I just hope that the Dems can kick him out of the caucus after the 2008 elections, no matter if they just pick up 1-2 seats, not the projected 5-6. I can't believe I supported this schmuck.

David Brooks was on NPR today and said that the McSame people saw some internal polling last week that was SO BAD that they decided that they had to do something to really "shake up" the campaign, and Voila! - Palin!

Those must have been some REALLY BAD numbers that they saw to jump the shark like that (and to have Brooks basically throw them under the bus today for the Palin choice).

What I would give to see those internal polling numbers..... and to find out why the Zogby's, USA's etc numbers don't seem to be showing the same results - YET!
