AMERICAblog: Obama: "What are John McCain and George Bush afraid of?"

  • scytherius · 1 year ago
I LOVE it. Obama is not the coward that the Right is so used to from the Dems. Hopefully this will give other Dems the backbone they need. Can not WAIT for the General Election season.

"getting rid of Iran's biggest enemy made them weaker"-John McCain
  • sittenpretty · 1 year ago
In Montana a few minutes ago, MSNBC reports, Obama asked "what are John McCain and George Bush afraid of?" He said he does not fear a "propaganda battle" with Iran" and that the reason Iran has gained influence in recent years is because of "Bush-McCain policies."

Chimpy is now officially a lame duck.

Congress passed three bills he threatened to veto...by veto-proof margins.

The oil reserve bill, the farm bill and the stop-the-FCC bill.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Chimpy said talking to Iran is "appeasment".

But both Gates and McLame have suggested talking to Iran.

Of course, McLame flip-flopped on it. He flip flops on EVERYTHING.

McCain's campaign just responded: "As soon as Senator McCain remembers who he is, he will be issuing a stern response."

I love the continued linking of McCain with bush.

    And then there's that photo:

Obama knows how to do this: zap the fuckers within the news cycle, so you have the last word. Don't let hours elapse before you loft a zinger back.

David Bromwich: In the American mind today, Israel stands for a policy of benign chauvinism, justified preemptive war, and provisional domination of the Middle East: the very policy the Bush administration has sought to graft onto the United States, while borrowing Israeli army rules of engagement for use in Iraq.

David Bromwich: In the American mind today, Israel stands for a policy of benign chauvinism, justified preemptive war, and provisional domination of the Middle East.

Not to mention Jim Crow Apartheit and killing Americans with bulldozers.

But if you say anything about the fascist Israeli government, you get labelled anti-semitic. Like they did to Jimmy Carter and Alan Rickman.

Doesn't matter that oer 60% of Jews in Israel AND the US disagree with Israel's brutal apartheit policies towards the Palestinians.

    Thank goodness for Barak Obama!

I am so sick of the Republicans telling the world how scared we are of tin-pot dictators and piss-ant terrorists who live in caves.

America has better ideas and our ideas will win in the end, but only if we stick to our ideas and ideals. Obama continues to say exactly what needs to be said in exactly the way we need.

tell them Barack! He is very good at the come backs I must say.

Yes, this is the tactic to take. Question the Republican's bravery. Allege that they must not be good negotiators or good at taking their policies to the public at home or abroad. What else would account for their fear to engage these people?

    1. A fear of giving Iran a propaganda victory? No, we gave that to them already by declaring them as part of the Axis of evil while their people were marching in the streets supporting the US against AQ.

    2. A fear that we would actually concede something to Iran that would be inappropriate? I guess Bush and McCain have very little confidence in themselves to believe that there can be no talk or negotiations in order to prevent ourselves from appeasing.

    3. A fear that Bush and McCain's failed policies will be shown for what they are should the US be able to make headway with the Iranians?

My guess is that these guys are just wussies and need to be called such every time they say talking is appeasement.

I like the continuing link between Bush & McCain. They need to be mentioned in the same sentence from now until the election. They are one in the same. "Bring'em both on!" ;-)

Maybe he's just a little afraid that Bushism is going to rub off on him to the point that the people will at long last understand what Bushism real is... fascism in it's rawest state!

Any one who cares might take the time to Google "American Fascism", those that do will be just a little shocked in what they find!

Just think my dad gave his life fighting fascist in WWII... now it's alive and well here in American under the watch and helping eye of G. W. Bush and no one get it!

America is going to have a hard time dispelling Bushism and it's fascist ways from the so called "Homeland" and I fear it's going to take time, money and blood!

Ever wonder why G. W. Bush and company pick the phase Homeland Security" as the name if the nation's leading Security arm of the government... it has a nice fascist ring to it doesn't it!

Kind of makes one think a bit... doesn't it
