It's his family name. Only Republicans throw their family under the bus, a la George 'Macacawitz' Allen, who didn't know his middle name Felix came from his Jewish grandfather. Or at least that's what he told the KKK after they revoked his membership.

This is such a simple matter: His middle name is his middle name, and Presidents are sworn in by their full names. End of story.

If someone else has a prejudicial reaction to somebody's given name, the problem lies with the person having the reaction.

(What the hell kind of name is "Rush," anyway? Sounds like a ferren, commie name to me!)

why should he be ashame of his middle name. Are you ashamed of you middle name in the case if you have middle name. My name is mohammed, I am never be Ashamed since Mohammed was considered one of the great person during his time. Please read the history of islam, then you will not say this. do not judge a book with it is cover. By the way, Hussein is great name.
