    John Aravosis!

You almost gave me a stroke with that headline!

I'm already wound so tight I'm putting Valium in my Pez dispenser.

    LOL.

    John!!!!!
Don't EVER do that again, or I'll start going to Albainiablog instead.

I just returned from Bridgeton Missouri (St. Louis), I have not seen so many Mcscary Spice signs. House after disgusting house.

    I need a shower.

I live in Houston, TX and thankfully not the Conservative 'burbs, but in an older 'bungalow' style neighborhood instead and it's Obama sign after Obama sign...I love it...it makes me smile when I drive home...

I don't envy you having to drive through McCain/Palin/Hate country...

Why do you think that is? The ultraconservative Catholic vote listening to the bishop?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Interesting column in LA Times on Catholic Vote.

    http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/...

Says, basically, the Catholic Vote may eventually end up like the Jewish vote, with the vast majority voting Dem and a small conservative subgroup voting Repub.

Interesting. I would have thought the Roman hierarchy is smart enough to realize they're being played for Rovian fools but apparenlty not.
  • PeteWa · 1 year ago
    Don't be naive,
the Roman hierarchy is the SAME as the Rovian hierarchy.

It's a possibility. Also a possibility....zombies came in the night and ate their brains. ;>)

Catching up? That old fart can't even catch or keep track of his running mate Rogue McPalin. Hell even if he were to win she'd probably smack him in the kneecap with the butt of her moosebazooka and try to take it away from him. I wonder if either of them will even lose graciously come November 5th.

Good freakin Lord John, I nearly fell off my couch when I clicked refresh. Don't DO that to us! LOL!

    Now that's snark.

I don't know if this has been posted, but in case not, here, for some misty eyed viewing, check this video out. Very touching, especially toward the end...

    Very nice...

Thanks, houstonray. You made my day!

Sometimes we need to clear our heads of the Republican 'yuck' with something uplifting...glad you enjoyed it...

I bank much more on the state polls that the so-called national polls. I don't know if I am right, but I check the state polls on RCP each date, and Obama is expanding his leads except in a couple (MO and IN). He has really taken off in NV.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
McCain's just consolidating his support in the big red states, as the Repub base in the South and Texas are deciding to hold their noses and vote for him.

Doesn't make a difference in the electoral map.
  • seohio · 1 year ago
That's pretty funny stuff. I just re-checked www.pollster.com from this morning, and Obama has gained 5 more electoral votes since 10 am!!
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
    Shhhh. Don't tell the Wingnuts.
  • cmpnwtr · 1 year ago
Uptick for Obama in Gallup and ABC today...... yup..... cause for great celebration in the McCain camp, along with Sarah's latest outfit purchase.
  • RobertSeattle · 1 year ago
I'm half expecting a McCain/Palin talking head say something like "Sure, Obama is going to get 52% of the vote, but we have data that says McCain's going to get 53%..."
  • Aanya · 1 year ago
Oh John, you are my hero indeed! I love your blog, because you always seem to sense just what we need to hear, and when we need to hear it the most. These last few days have been a nightmare. Listening to the pundits, I've been convinced that Obama is all but out of the race. They are cheering on the McNasty victory., and ignoring Obama and all his accomplishments. I've never been as low as I was this morning! Thanks, I needed that badly! Maybe could you give us all a booster shot in a day or so?

Karl Rove was on Sean Hannity's BS radio show today talking about how the polls are (McCain air quotes) tightening up...

it will be easier to rig the vote if they convince people the polls are close.
    keep working for a landslide.
  • gallery · 1 year ago
    Bingo, tls.
  • zorbear · 1 year ago
"it will be easier to rig the vote if they convince people the polls are close.
    keep working for a landslide."

I'm willing to bet that there even if there is a landslide in states with paper ballots, McCain will win in states with electronic machines. Until I saw the the program on LINK (the liberal cable political channel) showing the paper trail on the electronic rigging problem, I thought the whole thing was just for nutjobs. I was wrong - man, how I was wrong...

This misinformation we can really use...If one person out there thinks they have to vote because Obama is down in the polls I can deal with the fudging.
  • MNUSA · 1 year ago
Maybe he knows something the rest of us don't know. How many tens of thousands of voters have been removed from the voter registration list? In Minnesota there is a conservative group "verifying the accuracy of voter lists" by calling voters. One person was so intimidated he reported the call and now it is being investigated. It just goes to show that the party of our Secretary of State matters, too.
