The threat, which is at odds with Israel's support so far for an international campaign to curtail and, if necessary, confront Iran's uranium enrichment programme, contributed to frenzied buying in the financial markets, where oil prices soared to a record $139, and sparked an international furore.

The economy seems to be reaching the "perfect storm." Thanks a lot, you greedy bastards.
Avg price per gal is $4.01 in the US, but I've seen it at $3.99 in this area this morning and usually by afternoon, they've raised the price again. This means all those SUV and large truck drivers are paying 40 cents to drive one mile (assuming 10 mpg), while smaller cars getting 35 mpg are paying just over 11 cents. What a difference. Really thankful for my 12 yr old Saturn now.
But will I be able to buy cereal next month?
Stephanopoulos asked Sen. Graham if McCain’s policies are essentially “an extension or maybe an enhancement of the Bush policies.” Sen. Graham answered, “Yeah, absolutely.”
Bush = McCain = Bush

Anyway, family members were at the house, and we were watching 2 guys climb a large tree to destroy insect nests that were killing it (hardly any leaves on the tree). While we were standing there watching, it became instantly dark and you could see all the stars. The sun had gone out...I went over and hugged my grandson and granddaughter...and we knew it was the end.
And I'm not the least bit superstitious, BTW, I'm a rational atheist. Sometimes your worries just coalesce and become something else in your dreams, I suppose.
anyone know why ferrari made a 208, and should the same reasoning be applied here ??
