I'd bet that they were threatened by the Clintons.

"Owe them one"? Huh! That sounds like backroom politixxx to me. Nobody owns Obama and Obama doesn't "owe" anybody. That's the big change we're talking about. Hell of missed opportunity not to see that.

just a thought Clearly, the Clinton campaign wants to see what superdelegates think after Clinton wins by 25-30 points tomorrow. It will likely be her largest victory since Arkansas, which she won, 70%-26%. Does that mean anything? Clinton hopes so. Yet the Los Angeles Times made a good point over the weekend: Wouldn't it be worse for Obama if he were losing primaries to a non-candidate? Isn't she doing him a favor at this point by at least going through May 20?

a little OT: nice to see that a few people such as john conyers (D-MI) are seeing the whole picture, not just how much we dislike hillary:
i think the obama campaign sees it too (sigh of relief).

I have been reading Americablog every day for about 6 years now. It has always been my favorite. But now I can't believe what I am reading. Why are you attacking the Clintons on an almost hourly basis? They are not the enemy. Just because you want Obama that is not fair. I am a lifelong Democrat and I support Hillary. You make her seem like the enemy. Are we or are we not on the same side, the Democratic side? Shouldn't you all be saving your hatred for the Republicans? You might ban me from comments after this but if you do then so be it. I am very disillusioned and disappointed by your blog right now anyway.

You as well as Hillary need refresher courses in basic math if you think you've been reading this blog for about six years since it just had its four year anniversary last month.

Well, I didn't write it down on my calander or anything. I know I discovered this blog by accident and was guessing on the time. Excuse me if I got it wrong. Sure wish you would have gotten the message I was relaying instead of picking on my mistake.

I don't care if these three SuperDelegates go for Clinton or Obama.
At this point, I think it's pretty selfish to not announce who they're supporting.
And I think they're playing hard to get for good reason. They relish the attention they're getting from the media and from the campaigns. To announce who they're supporting now would take away their limelight. It's so selfish.

Axelrod said the campaign would be steadily announcing SD endorsements, which leads me to believe that a portion of SDs are committed and are working with the campaign to time their releases in an orchestrated manner. Since it seems that Obama and Young Dems are such a natural fit, it wouldn't shock me to learn that some of those SDs just waiting for the word - just being held like pocket aces.
