Hey this is off topics, but I am looking for citations and links to evidence of Fox News labeling republicans as being democrats when they get caught doing something wrong (like they did with Mark Foley). I know they have done it a few times, and that they labeled McCain as a democrat earlier this year, but I am having trouble find a complete list. Anyone have any leads on where I can find that info? Thanks all.

The continued occupation of Iraq will indeed cost this nation more than dollars and cents. It's made possible by the fact that those making the money don't really care about the human costs. They never pay that price.

AJ, these are the figures I have from the 2007 Dole-Shalala commission stuff:
2007 Presidents Veterans War Commission 2,200,000 Number of deployments 1,500,000 Number of service members deployed 37,851 Air evacuated for illness or injuries [20/day on my calcs from 10/7/2001 start of OEF] 28,000 Wounded in action 23,270 Treated and returned to duty within 72 hours 3,082 Seriously injured (TSGLI recipients)7 2,726 Traumatic Brain Injuries 644 Amputations 598 Serious burns 391 Polytrauma 94 Spinal cord injuries 48 Blind *some double counting
I'm not going to touch the PTSD issue - it'd be like jumping into the hotbed issue of adjudicating workers comp (you could probably fill a library with the legal history of those struggles, right?...)

It's not a war, it's a self chosen mistake made by the Bush adminstration. what "enemy" are we fighting today again? You insult all other legitimate conflicts like WWII etc by putting this fiasco in the same category.
As far as the post goes, the best way to treat an injury is to prevent it. In this case, the best prevention is to get our troops the hell out of Iraq.

Busboy, Not sure if you are being sarcastic or you are a jackass. Iseral's son is actually in my daughter's class. I have seen this family struggle and overcome the greatest of odds, all through their love for each other. Because a person enlists in the military does not give you, the administration, or any other punk ass coward who has a hard-on for war, to abuse their commitment to their country. These people in the military DO volunteer, but that does not mean Shrub, the dark lord Cheney, or anyone else in that administration has a right to use them, send them to war WITHOUT the proper gear, and then throw them away like trash. They had the fortitude and strength to stand up and say they would protect this country and a DECENT GI bill , not to mention care for their injuries, is not too much to ask. AJ, thank you for covering this subject. I have spent more time at BAMC than I want to remember in the last couple years, but this is where the major burn treatment for the Army is. You not only see that, but young kids missing limbs and many with brain injuries. Hell, the US government refused to help build the intrepid center so they had to raise funds for it.
