I have to say that it is striking to see so many African American troops in these pictures. Maybe it has to do with Obama's popularity with African Americans, but if this is a more representative sample of the troops serving there, then I have to wonder where they have been hiding the troops of color when Bush and McCain come for visits.

I was also struck by the few Whites in the audience. Are the majority of Democrats in the military non-White? Good on the People of Colour to be more supportive of the Democratic Party...the Party that is more supportive of our them.

I don't believe they do. These young soldiers are feed and brainwashed by the republican party. Than they are told not to get involved with politics but only stand behind as prop when Bush is at a base. These soldiers are being prepared as christain soldiers. Just look at how the evangelicas are at the air force, naval and army academies. The are being feed they are gods soldiers. I know you think am lying but I am not. It is good to see Obama getting good feed back from these young soldiers.

What a thrill and a real show of deep support and wonderment in the eyes of so many. I hate to say it but it will be used by the racial hate mongers to stick it to him. Among us, hatreds fester and infect deeply.

I was struck by the number of secret service people walking behind him. Not sure what it means when you see this many with our own soldiers, but, compared to the primary I am glad he is being protected.
