AMERICAblog: O'Reilly compared murdered doctor Tiller to a Nazi, called him a "baby killer," and warned of "Judgment Day"

My mother, a Christian, who has gone to church every Sunday her entire life, is a nurse and friend of Dr. Tiller's in Wichita. She always has described him as a "good man" who cared deeply for the health and well-being of his patients. The women who sought out his care, did not do so with idle minds.
The denouncements of violence by the anti-abortion crowd are disingenuous. They own this premeditated murder. Their vitriolic rhetoric incites violence. Claims that they had no idea this could happen are akin to the "we had no idea they would fly planes into buildings." It's simply false and not even good plausible denial.

Terrorists sympathizer Bill O'Reilly is as complicit in the murder of Dr. Tiller as if he had pulled the trigger himself.
Actually, you can donate and support groups like Family Planning letting the Republicans and Democrats know why your donation is going to Family Planning rather than to their party coffers. Another of my favorites is the Pacifica Radio Network as they are strident in the opposition to the political establishment. Amy Goodman, Democracy Now, devoted her morning show to the murder of Dr. Tiller. Money will do a lot more good than marching and protesting.
You can also write the corporate supporters of the above criminal conspirators to the murder of Dr. Tiller and tell them about your donations and why you made those donations.
When Pope Rat spewed his lies about condoms, I donated $40 each to Family Planning and to the local Gay Center and wrote a letter to the Los Angeles Catholic archdioceses telling them what I did and why. By the way, though I am Catholic, I cannot put money into the offering plate while the Rat is pope.

We have laws against inciting people to violence but apparently they are not consistently enforced. Whom does O'Reilly pay off for his immunity from accountability?

O'Reilly pays off the US Constitution. No matter how obnoxious, disgusting and idiotic the 28 segments and references that O'Reilly did on "Tiller the Baby Killer", it looks like he was within the realm of 1st Amendment protection.
O'Reilly wasn't yelling "fire" in a crowded movie theatre, unless there is a strong connection between O'Reilly and the allege shooter.
The person, who may be in some big trouble, because he had some connection to the shooter is Randall Terry. If I were him, I wouldn't hold press conferences as the National Press Club. If Bill O'Reilly had the same links to the allege shooter as Randall Terry, then O'Reilly's pieces on Dr. Tiller would have different meaning.

Then he needs to be hunted down like he does liberal people who disagree with him and won't be on his show. We can't let people do this stuff to us day in and day out and let them get away with their problems. Especially when they are partially responsible for someone's murder. This could end his career if it played right.

I doubt it will be enough to end his career unfortunately. I hope Olbermann or Maddow run with this story.

You are probably right, but he can get the shit sued out of him over this. What advertiser wants to continue sending money to a guy who had someone killed? I just see a lot of opportunity to build pressure against him and fox. I think you can almost guarantee that Olbermann and even Maddow are going to grab this and run.

Gah, murdered in front of your own spouse. She would have agonized over that possible outcome for years only to have it happen before her. When are these domestic terrorists (the real threat) going to be stopped? They'll lie low for a few months like it has nothing to do with them but be right back at it and escalate it. Here in my town, we have one women's health clinic. I've seen them out there "protesting." Men screaming in Army fatigues like nuts. Tap their phones instead of Quakers.

O'reilly got a lot more than $5000 for killing Dr. Tiller. I wish there were a judgment day.

Accessory and accomplice to murder. They executed a kid for drivinga car from which a fried committed murder, not knowing his friend had murdered someone. O'Reilly is about 10 billion times as culpable. Prosecute the bastard. No, not the death penalty which is immoral in itself, but say 20 years to life.

Bill O'Reilly's speech is protected, no matter how disgusting and obnoxious it is about Dr. Tiller. The only way that Bill O'Reilly can be criminally culpable, is if he had a direct connection to Scott Roeder, the allege shooter.
What Bill O'Reilly did with his stories on Dr. Tiller was outrageous and sick, but his words should be protected and fall under 1st Amendment law.

Bill is one sick dude with a real need for power. I'll bet he's pleased with his possible contribution to this murder. It will be interesting to see if he boasts about his "power" to influence people and events.

i really hate admitting this slimy excuse for a human being has any kind of influence, but over his small-minded, hateful followers, he does. O'Reilly should be charged with inciting murder.

Anyone who listens to and supports O'Reilly are those who also worship Limbaugh and his cohorts. There is no reasoning or ounce of true decency in them. The extremists within our own country are frightening and fueled daily by the republican party. This is the level they have stooped to and not one should be allowed to make decisions concerning the future of our country. ENOUGH.

Fox, Clear Channel and their Priests (O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck et al) of today's Christian Domestic Terrorists are accessories to murder.
So are ALL the companies, advertisers and listeners who rabidly support them to the tune of BILLIONS of dollar each year, year after year.
Stay tuned for the cry of, "But Hey! It Wasn't Me!!"
Yes. It IS you.

Republicans and right wing are now at 20% in popularity. The followers of Fox, Clear Channel and their priests (O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck et al) have to similar followings. Another words, they are not pulling in the ratings points. Thus is a clear conspiracy to produce propaganda for the right and not based at all on capitalistic economics. The corporations of the nation are sacrificing profits for their right wing agenda. Puzzle though is what does it gain the corporations in term of their almighty, worshipped bottom line?

O'Reilly is not a reporter of the news. His career is based on distortion, lies, editorials, propaganda and inflammatory accusations. He personalizes and emotionalizes every issue and manipulates, exploits and exhorts his dysfunctional followers into taking some form of radical "action". In referring to Dr. Tiller as a "baby killer" who does "Nazi stuff", he is clearly suggesting that someone take the law into their own hands and mete out justice to the "baby killer" who is guilty of doing "Nazi stuff".
O'Reilly should be held legally accountable in the same manner that someone who yells fire in a movie theater and claims innocence when people are trampled to death is held accountable.
okojo

No, Bill O'Reilly shouldn't be held legally accountable. His speech is protected.
Bill O'Reilly constantly lied about Dr. Tiller, constantly distorted why Dr. Tiller perform third trimester abortions, and showed intent to inflame and build outrage about Dr. Tiller.
However, Bill O'Reilly was doing this that was clearly falls under protected speech.
A person, who may be looked very seriously, is former Kansas AG, Phil Kline. He was feeding O'Reilly much of his information, he went out of his way to go after Dr. Tiller. If he was leaking files to Operation Rescue or a group that was connected to Scott Roeder.
Two people who I think there could be a criminal case against, are Randall Terry and Phil Kline.

Careful Bill, or you are going to ruin the reputation of hate mongering know nothing BULLIES.
The man arrested for shooting Dr. Tiller has a long history of ties to domestic terrorists fringe groups. (http://www.kansas.com/690/story/834448.html)
