AMERICAblog: Our future Commander in Chief

I'm I the only one that finds it werid that she flew when 8 months preganant and that her daugter was out of school for 6 months during her moms preganancy and that she did not even look pregnant. Come on someone take a look into this.
  • Peaches · 1 year ago
    Cjeffrey,

No, you aren't the only one and I'm right there with you...waiting.
  • Cjeffery · 1 year ago
Thats good to hear. I also noticed watching there campaign stops that her daughter is always the one taking care of the baby and watching on the bus. My Wife actulley pointed this out first so I started looking and this is not a far fetched theory. She also only missed 3 days from work. I work as HR and I know that women who just had baby's don't come back in 3 days. Especiallky if the child might be special needs.
  • julls · 1 year ago
The baby thing is very personal. And I don't see the wing-nuts zealots getting worked over a mama taking care of a daughter, even if it meant lying for a daughter.

The focus should reamin on McCain, Let the media interview her about qualifications, also, if she is qualified, she will come across as so in the debate, you can't fake national security, not with Joe Biden, no way!
AND if she can, then she must be really good, many are saying do not underestimate this women.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
i agree. keep the focus on McSlime.

she's just a pawn in the Rovian game to make the fundie's happy. why do GOPers hate women?
  • ydthin · 1 year ago
Suppose I get raped, and I can't get an abortion because she and her freaks have managed to overturn Roe. That's personal. I can't get married because I'm a queer and people like her don't think I'm good enough to deserve a full set of civil rights. That's personal. Is it just me or are the people who are saying these allegations are 'personal' just people who aren't affected by the policies or potential policies of people like Palin.

If there is any truth to this rumor, it's pretty obvious that the mother isn't 'taking care of the daughter'. Protecting the daughter and taking care of her would mean turning down the nomination so as to PROTECT the daughter from national exposure. No one knows how this story will pan out, but one thing is clear and that Palin is a habitual liar (she even claimed not to wear fur and up pops a photo of her wearing a big ol fur coat) and irrationally ambitious for someone who claims to be 'traditional' and 'conservative'. I am so sick of these far-right hypocritical bitties telling every other woman how to live while they themselves break every rule in the book that members of their purity committee have written. Palin has done nothing but, from her shotgun wedding to going back to work 3 days after the birth of her 'son'. It's not the sex, it's the lying and it's the hypocrisy. It's a pattern with her, and it righteously stinks.

Leaking amniotic fluid all the way from Austin to Anchorage! Let's see Obama top that!

huh. the msm isn't covering mccain's campaign stop in missouri. wonder why. if you'd like you can catch it live on CSPAN.

She looks a bit less Tina Fey here and a bit more Winona Judd.

You saying a Communications Degree from the University of Idaho isn't enough education for a Future President?
  • Wisconsin Liberal · 1 year ago
Did they teach the "wide stance"? One of Idaho's most prominent politicians needed to know it !!!
  • almeino · 1 year ago
You idiots...don't you get it. She's a pawn. The more you attach her by showing these clips of how weak a candidate she is, will only increase her popularity with the base on the fence sitters. The McCain strategy with this pick is to get the media to eat her up and pay little attention to background. As dems attack, they will be shown as attacking the Joeshpehia-six-pack, gun toting, every-woman that the repubs are going to paint her as. The best thing would be to focus solely on McCain and ignore her completely. Otherwise, they're going to get flattened in the repub counter.
  • julls · 1 year ago
What If McCain gets away with this?

We will have a Karl Rove Tool for years to come, and McCave will be long gone, but we America will be what exactly? Rove has done alot of damage already, how much more can he do before ASmerica is not America?
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
"It's not the only musheen goeen on." The University of Idaho Comm major dazzles with that certain "je ne sais quoi" that makes a star a star!
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    LOL!
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
BTW: She was apparently a pretty bad sportscaster too.
  • MrsTarquinBiscuitbarrel · 1 year ago
Not only is her voice a monotone, when Sarah Heath gazes into the TelePrompter, she goes all cross-eyed.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
I still wonder why Kay Bailey Hutchinson fell off McCain's list.

Because, by all accounts, she was on the veep list at one time.

Too qualified? Couldn't be manipulated enough? Not cute enough?

I'd really like to hear that story.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
KB doesn't have Sarah's sweet ass.
  • MrsTarquinBiscuitbarrel · 1 year ago
Moderately pro-choice. Or at least not rabidly anti-Roe. And not dumb as a stump.
  • Cjeffery · 1 year ago
My wife just sent me this also. Take a look and you tell me.

It looks like she didn't heed the anchors advice at the end of that clip:

    "Don't go overboard there Sarah."
  • osage · 1 year ago
In order to be a Bush/McCain “Republican”, you have to be willing to suspend your belief in reason, intelligence, honesty and morality. You have to be self-deluding, willfully ignorant, dishonest and hypocritical. Anyone who believes that John McCain believes Sarah Polin is the most qualified Republican to be the President of the United States in the the event he dies or becomes incapacitated, needs to recognize that what John McCain is trying to sell Americans is that Joe Lieberaman, Tom Ridge, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Fred Thompson, Ron Paul and Lindsey Graham and every Republican Senator and Representative in Congress are ALL LESS QUALIFIED to be President than Sarah Polin is. To believe that, you have to be irrational, stupid, gullible and or a liar!
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
Bad argument. None of the names you listed are qualified to be president either.
    Republican = unqualified
  • julls · 1 year ago
    Speaking of which..

I wonder if outside group will be running clips of McCain praising his fellow Republican running mates about their experience, juxtopose that with him saying Palin is experienced and see how that looks, OR just ignore her and focus on him.
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
    Something funny to laugh about.

Cindy McCain says Palin has international experience because she lived close to Russia. Why do rethuglicans have such dumb people in their party?
No wonder they cannot vote intelligently.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/greg-mitchell/cin...
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
To be fair, Cindy confused which Fox "news" person she was supposed to get her talking points from. Instead of Rove, she quoted Doocey. Rove would have touted her experience covering hockey which is an international sport.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Fox News is pushing that same talking point, pretending that the Bering Strait is like the Rio Grande.

Their viewers are probably gullible enough to believe it too, as if Siberia has anything but snow and labor camps anyway.
  • jescot · 1 year ago
Goofy yes but what concerns me is that my 8 year son has been to more countries than her.He got his passport at age 1. My son the VP !
  • graymatter · 1 year ago
Say what you will. I got to hear Sarah Palin saying "beaver roundup". Someone loop this...
  • Jim Olson · 1 year ago
Clearly, Not Ready For Prime Time.
  • Jim Olson · 1 year ago
    HOLY FUCK!!!

McCain just said on the NBC news that Sarah Palin's PTA experience, experience as Mayor of a small town and 18 months of Governor of Alaska is better than anything Obama can offer. "There is no comparison" he said.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    He's wrong there, obviously.

But her University of Idaho Communications Major beats President of Harvard Law Review any day of the week.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
It's the double standard for black folks. We have to be twice as good or accomplished to even compare to an average twit like Palin in the minds of some white folks (GOP).
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
Rove and McSlime set her up - her only job is to bring the fundies back to the fold...McSlime is a failure on that ...
The fact they get to oggle her backside is icing on the cake.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
I'm being serious here (for a change).

I wonder if smart and accomplished women intimidate McCain?
  • bumpkis · 1 year ago
All this is very entertaining, but in the end, it will be LIEBERMAN.

Our prospective Vice-President, whose son is about to be deployed to Iraq: 'I’ve been so focused on state government, I haven’t really focused much on the war in Iraq. I heard on the news about the new deployments.'

A younger version of McSame, complete with little contact with the real world? I have no problems with moose burgers: venison is like smaller moose, but the no-abortion-even-when mother's-life-is threatened - even South Dakota is a bit unstable on that one.
WHAT were Rove and co. thinking?
  • rexkc · 1 year ago
Looks like McCain took a big gamble on this one. Unfortunately, he's gambling with the future of our country. I really think he ought to stick with gambling his own money instead of our futures.
  • Wild_Weasel · 1 year ago
Sarah Palin and her family are pimps for the oil industry.

You can produce a gallon of oil quicker by (1) conserving, (2) introducing fuel efficient vehicles, (3) finding alternatives.

Sarah Palin and her family have received over one hundred thousand dollars over the years from the Alaska Permanent Fund. That fund collects fees from the Alaska oil businesses and pays out a dividend check for every man, woman and child in Alaska. Every Year!! In effect, that policy bribes the Alaskans to favor drilling over conservation.

Sarah Palin does not care about "demand side management" of oil, only "supply side management" (i.e. drilling).

Drilling won't produce a gallon of oil for nearly a decade.

Conservation and new technologies produce payoffs far quicker.

Sarah Palin's husband works for a foreign oil company.
  • Wild_Weasel · 1 year ago
    ATTENTION DEMOCRATIC RESEARCHERS:

Ask the Alaska Permanent Fund how much Sarah Palin and her family have received since the program started.

That program jacks up fuel costs in the lower 48 so it can pay a dividend check to every man, woman, and child living in Alaska . . . including temporary GIs and others.

Want lower fuel costs, CUT OUT the Alaska Permanent Fund program.

Will everyone PLEASE lay off Palin. She’s a sweet kid, a great point guard and can make baby formula is 5 seconds with her eyes closed while shooting a moose with her baby pink AK47. She’s a great gal, who might not even get arrested in her “Troopergate,” “abuse of power,” ethics problem. In addition, the “city” er “town” er “whatever” it was she was the “Mayor” of should be out from under the $20,000,000.00 debt she left them holding sometime in the next 40 or 50 years. Hey, what's $3,000.00 debt for every man, woman and child - by Republican standards - it’s practically a gift!

She is so far outside the mainstream that her abilities and or the lack of them, is just not an issue. She’s a Creationist, anti-choice dinosaur EVEN in the cases of rape, incest and when the mother could die! In fact she’s against birth control - even against condom use by married couples.

The ONLY issue about her is, “How on earth could 4 time cancer survivor John McCain have so little judgment as to think, even for a split second, that this woman was qualified to be a heartbeat away from being AMERICA’S President.

    John - you’re not a “Maverick” you’re a “Buffoon.”

Well, to be fair, who wouldn't seem goofy with that hairdo?
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
oh gawd her voice. it is like Fran Drescher on crack. how does her husband stand it?
  • larz · 1 year ago
At least it's easy to tell when she's reading stuff she doesn't understand from a teleprompter. Should make VP debate hysterical.
  • mpec · 1 year ago
My favorite moments of the video are when she says Purdue is "killing" Michigan and refers to a comeback "in the fourth," as in fourth quarter. No self-respecting sports anchor would use the word "kill." And college basketball is played in halves, not quarters. Oh, she also blew the pronunciation of Purdue's home court. Mackey is such a tough name to get right.

Obviously, this is small potatoes. But it's telling that she couldn't even get the basics right for this.
  • ydthin · 1 year ago
I keep waiting for her to say "He wasn't circumcised."

This is just about unwatchable. I haven't watched any video of her speaking because I didn't want her voice in my head and now I'm glad I didn't.
  • mbz · 1 year ago
At least she appears to be able to read the teleprompter. That's more than we can say for McCain.
