I think they are going to air it at another date. Last I heard, they initially said no, they wanted to focus on their lineup since their shows weren't doing so well in the ratings, then changed their mind, but the buys had already been done, so something was agreed on to air it later. Not sure of all the details...
Of course, the Repubs are trying to spin this as a negative, 'delaying' the World Series (only bumping the pregame gabfest, not the actual game), calling it an INFOmercial, emphasis on the info to make it sound sleazy, and on and on...they are just jealous, McCain doesn't have the money to do it...wah, wah...

I try not to confuse my own hopefulness with reality. I think McCain will win here. Maricopa county/Phoenix will go overwhelming for McCain and that is the population hub of the state. My county (Pima) and a few others will go for Obama. I don't think it will be a blow out for McCain but I also don't think it will be as close as some are speculating.
Here's hoping I'm wrong because I would laugh myself silly if McCain blew it here.

John, I think you're far too gloomy. The adults may actually have lost control of the party. I have the feeling this is going to come as an uncomfortable shock to a whole lot of people as the "loyal opposition" starts gearing up to kneecap Obama, literally if they thought they could get away with it. The wingnuts are all that's left of the Republican party in any meaningful way. The Rockefeller Republicans (being generous and describing the non-theocon subset that way) are going to find themselves shut out in the way the theocons have for the last 20 years. I always rather thought there'd be a split off to the Constitution Party, but it's looking more and more like the theocons are getting the brand name in the divorce and the rest of the Republicans are going to have to start from scratch.
