  • GrMtGirl3 · 1 year ago
She's an opportunists hungry for attention, power and money using her god-given looks to promote her goals. She is dangerous because she is able to worm herself into positions of importance and responsibilty but once achieved she does not have the intellect to handle the task at hand.

I am still trying to find out if it was even LEGAL for Palin to accept clothes amounting to over $150,000 from a WEALTHY DONOR. Wouldn't that be a GIFT to a candidate running for vice president?

And remember the campaign originally said the clothes were by for my the RNC. So what gives here? Did she receive a gift or was it campaign expenses.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
correction----were paid for by the RNC

I remember when everyone freaked out because Harry Belafonte and Petula Clark held hands as they bowed after singing a duet on tv.

I haven't been this rattled since Diahann Carroll gave Lloyd Nolan and Lurene Tuttle wet willies on the old sitcom "Julia"...

    Tom Tomorrow:
    Eight long years

"We’ve regarded our leaders with dread and anxiety for so long, it has come to seem like the normal state of things. It has become a chronic pain, so much a part of our lives that we only really notice it when it subsides — and suddenly the relief is so overwhelming it becomes a tangible thing."

Wasn't Steve Schmidt the driving force behind her pick (heh heh) as VP? How many blow jobs did she have to give him before he decided? Obviously, she's not shy about being practically naked around him. And if you think I, a woman, am being sexist by saying this, you don't know how many women I've seen who screwed their way up the ladder when that was pretty much how they walked over other women.)

    Manipulator.

And it looks like the Todd didn't mind at all, if the arty is to be believed.

Please, please, please have her get the R nomination in '12.

And then Todd looked at Mark and Steve and said, "I'm not sure what the French word for 4 is, but when you have three people its called a..."

I love this one from the article:

The debates unnerved both candidates. When he was preparing for them during the Democratic primaries, Obama was recorded saying, "I don't consider this to be a good format for me, which makes me more cautious. I often find myself trapped by the questions and thinking to myself, 'You know, this is a stupid question, but let me … answer it.' So when Brian Williams is asking me about what's a personal thing that you've done [that's green], and I say, you know, 'Well, I planted a bunch of trees.' And he says, 'I'm talking about personal.' What I'm thinking in my head is, 'Well, the truth is, Brian, we can't solve global warming because I f---ing changed light bulbs in my house. It's because of something collective'."

Heavens to Betsy. What will Dr. Dobson think? Or did she invite him to a party, too?

Unbelievable. And those people honestly thought women would line up to support some 1950s Doris Day as someone a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

Don't let the Canadian border hit you in the ass on your way home, Sarah.
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
Now come on... Doris Day was smarter and not nearly as mean...
  • woodroad34 · 1 year ago
Trailer Trash! Does she think she's LBJ? (Someone infinitely more suited to her wouldbe job than she ever could be....he gave a press interview while on the toilet)

it was an expression of contempt. You don't get dressed in front of the dogs, either. They were the help, and thus on the level of dumb animals.

her greatest qualification as the first female GOPer VP candidate:

    a boner-booster

Drop it. True or not, she and McCain lost. Vastly more important issues now. Need to get the guy on our side, Obama, to end the war in Iraq and not to expand the war in Afghanistan, rather bring home all our troops. Need to end the FISA crap. Need to bring the nation out of the economic crisis before we end up in a second Great Depression. Need to send Bush and his criminal cronies to the Hague for his massive international war crimes. Need to restore funding to our schools, infrastructure, colleges, homeless, women's health care, real science funding for the universities, restore food and drug regulation and tons more. I suppose it is too much to hope that he frees our own political prisoners, especially Black activists. But he must close Guantanamo and stop scapegoating Muslims and Arabs. Our Muslim and Arab citizens are loyal Americans who love this nation and every bit as patriotic to America as any other American citizen.

Forget Palin. She is the past. She amounts to an easily blown away dust bunny in history. Obama is our current and most important problem. If Obama is to be one history's greatest leaders, it is up to us to drag him kicking and screaming into being that leader as his ambtion is to be another Warren Harding, Calvin Cooledge or Herbert Hoover ... even a Chester A. Arthur ... [whozit?].

This may provide a bit of insight into Palins thinking

Forget about wasting time dragging GW through the muck Stick the fork in he’s done. Let him go build a library or whatever. I’m a lifelong GOP but we really need to return to fiscal responsibility and squeaky-clean ethics to regain any offices IMO. I was never fond of the way Reagan led us astray with nonchalant spending of debt, and the deregulate and privatize era. Now bush has added lying with the overzealous religious right which I don’t like either. Religion is fine but blessed is the man who prays in the closet rather than the public square. Lets get back to true conservative thinking which means impeccable personal standards fiscal responsibility respect for others who have different views all those scouting principles we all know are the real meaning of being conservative.
