AMERICAblog: Palin held fundraiser at home of troubled financial services exec

  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Palin: "Well at least this scandal doesn't involve an anti-Semite!"
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
I'm truly beginning to despise this lying, smear-tactic cartoon character.

Meanwhile, Breaking News: In an effort to continue to rob Main St., the Fed is opening lines of credit for "troubled" commercial borrowers, you know, the Big Guys.

Of course, like Richard Fuld, they don't mind taking their hundreds of millions in salaries and bonuses, either...yesterday's hearing was a SHAM and so will the hearing on AIG be.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Ask any of those executives who got those platinum parachutes what their party is? Ask them who they contribute to... you can BET they are 100% Republican. McCain - Palin can lie about a lot of things but they can not RUN from being what they are and that is REPUBLICAN!
  • katjam · 1 year ago
I'm listening to Sarah in FL right now. Here is a question for your Republican friends: were she to become president do you really want ot listen to THAT VOICE for the next several years? It is already haunting my dreams.
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
    Yes, talk about SHRILL..
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Karen Walker from Will and Grace...she'd do Moosemama as well or better than Tina Fey.
  • TXfemmom · 1 year ago
I know, listening to her made he clinch my jaw so tightly that my TMJ aches. That screechy, annoying voice of hers. If Katie Couric can stop her flat in asking about which newspapers she reads, what do you think world leaders would do to her, particularly the ones who don't like us, anyway?
  • katjam · 1 year ago
She would just tell the world leader: "Hey! I chose not to answer
your question. I want to talk about snowmachinin'!!!
  • TXfemmom · 1 year ago
    You betcha!!!!!!!!!!!!

with the GOP candidates' base eroding, they are basically down to the knuckle-dragging racists, whooping it up for them at rallies, and the white-collar criminals, filling the coffers for them at fundraisers. palin is right. obama sees america much differently than she does.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I totally agree with you. I just saw Sarah Palin in Florida getting her fascist supporters whipped into a frenzy. I hope the Secret Service has a little sit down with Ms. Palin and explains to her it isn't wise to whip her nut job supporters into shouting death threats against Obama! My God, what does she think she is doing. Oh, thats right, she knows. She wants one of her crazy supporters to go after Obama. NICE... real nice....
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Sarah Palin is now bringing up the LIE that Obama cut off funds from the troops. Senator Biden brought up John McCain DID THE SAME DAMNED THING. Then she brough up his out of context quote of "air raids" on Iraq. She is a LYING bitch. She is SUCH a damned liar.

Of course, her LIARS SQUAD - brown shirt storm troopers behind her are backing her up just fine.

One of these days, Sarah Palin or John McCain's lies is going to motivate one of her followers, a Nazi brown shirt nut job, to try to assasinate Obama or Biden and the blood is going to be on her and John McCain's hands.
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
mccain wants to cut off the funding for poor sick people on medicare and poor sick children on SCHIP. but those of us who disagree with him are not calling for him to be killed.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
That group behind Sarah Palin is the worst of America. They are a bunch of hateful brown shirts!

I read this from a Viet Nam Veteran "BMillcwc" at another site. Its very relevent:

"Friends and patriots. I was at the VA hospital in Brecksville Ohio, getting a benefits form. It is very busy. You see many young soldiers being carried from an ambulance into the in-patient area, or waiting for medical care. It has been a long time for me. It has been since 1973 that I was there and the scene looked the same. Once again it has reminded me of the Vietnam era. Again, it was a war that shouldn't have happened. It is a war that has killed and maimed thousands of our young people. Killing many innocent people Rummie calls collateral damage in a war. This time though our countries leaders concocted a war against terror that is after the wrong people. Obama said that he will go after the real people responsible for September 11th in Afghanistan and Bin Laden maybe in Pakistan. Now our president is asking us and the senate for support to bail out the banks for almost a trillion dollars. While the war has cost us trillions. We are now again at election time and this party has just about accomplished everything they had worked so hard for. It is time for you, as a tax payer, US citizen, voter, to vote for a real change. I do not have to say who you should vote for. Do not let radio or television talk spin hosts influence you. Do not let your party affiliation influence you. I have voted across lines before. Vote with your conscience. Do you want more of the same? Bill "
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Why is the mainstream media palling around with terrorists, McCain - Palin? Why is the mainstream - traditional media showing that hateful Sarah Palin more than the Obama - Biden campaign? I'm sick to death of hearing her LYING charges with her stupid brown shirts behind her shouting death threats to Obama and / or Biden!

    I am in full agreement.

A little off topic, but there's an excellent video on the rape kit issue over at Mudflats Alaska. You can get there by clicking on Mudflats in John's "Some sites I like".
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
I am sick and tired of Sarah Palin and John McCain. We, as a nation, are in trouble and the Republicans can only offer lies and untruths, no hope, no real plans for changing the course of this nation.

On the other side, the Democrats are offering solid plans in health care, energy, taxes.

I will never understand the American voter.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
We are in trouble and instead of bringing us together, John McCain has chosen someone who represents the very worst of America as a running mate. Just saw her on MSNBC getting her brown shirt followers all riled up in Florida. Of course, she leads them to yell obscenities and death threats against Obama and Biden. She did finally say Biden was a decent, honorable man but then painted Obama as a blatant terrorist. She let her audience "fill in the blank" as to what should be done with him. Its very scary. I never dreamed I would see politicians rallying groups of hateful ignorant people, like Hitler did, to kill or injure other American politicians. Its disgusting, and McCain - Palin need to apologize and ask their followers to stop shouting death threats and obscenities. By the way, they must not care much for our children watching their rallies since they are exposed to that kind of nonsense through the teevee!
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Since Palin brought up Bill Ayers, who by any stretch of the imagination has "redeemed" himself in constructive work since his Weatherman days, how about the MSM doing some investigation into her and Todd's association with the Alaska Indep Party?

Thesebrownshirt white supremecists (AK is full of them) should be exposed for who they really are. I don't want them anywhere near this country's seat of power.

McBush has shown his ultimate lack of judgment in picking this reactionary for VP.

P.S. And Ayers was NEVER convicted of anything. Anything. I was an activist against the Vietnam War as well, and since I was arrested, I guess I'm just a poor example of a real American, too, according to the Palin types. Fuck her and the moose she rode in on...
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Yes, I'm damned tired of the media carrying water for McCain - Palin. I hope when Obama wins, the Obama administration remembers how the media weren't balanced in their coverage and punishes them by limiting access. It seems limiting their access is the only way to get the media's attention.
  • Wolfsinger · 1 year ago
McCain/Palin. Poster child's for Christian right-wing hate. It seems that to be a Republican today, one has to embrace hypocrisy and intolerance in Biblical proportions.

When is America going to learn? When is the media?
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I think its time for all of us to call or write the Secret Service and DEMAND the McCain - Palin campaign tone it down and stop getting their fascist crazy supporters all riled up to yell death threats and obscenities at their campaign rallies. I think its also time for the traditional media to do the right thing and refuse to air their campaign rallies until McCain - Palin promises not to incite their crowd to violent threats against the Democratic candidate! We should have some kind of coordinated effort. If something happens to Obama then it can ALL be traced back to Sarah Palin and John McCain getting their hateful fascist idiot Republican supporters who are too stupid to realize their anger is totallly misdirected. If those Republicans want to blame someone they need to look at who they've been voting for and the policies those elected officials supported that put them in harms way. God, I couldn't believe that latest rally and the amount of seething hate pouring off those people.
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
How about a federal investigation of the Sheriff who appeared in uniform at a Palin rally in central FL? You know, the one who railed against Barack HUSSEIN Obama?

    Nazi bastard.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
true, but I REALLY think the Secret Service should be notified that McCain - Palin is creating an environment of such hate that they are promoting violent threats against Obama. We know the people there can't think logically or they wouldn't be supporting McCain - Palin in the first place. Add to that, Sarah telling them a United States Senator is a TERRORIST and what do you think is going to happen? Some nut job is going to go after him and try to assasinate him! My God, how can they continue to get away with doing that? Imagine if the shoe were on the opposite foot and Obama incited people to shout death threats against McCain by calling him a domestic terrorist? Don't you think there would be some kind of secret service move to tell him to STOP.IT.???
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
JOHN: how about an ACTION step for all of us to report the incidents inciting a riot and/or hate?
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Good suggestion! Hey, if you guys have news tips or suggestions send them to John via:

    americablog@starpower.net

He might just use your suggestion or tip!
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I'm outraged. I thought after yesterday's death threats being yelled at Palin's rally that she would stop calling Obama a domestic terrorist but she has not. It is time to report the McCain - Palin campaign and their supporters. If something bad happens to Senator Obama then the blood is going to be on their hands:

    http://www.secretservice.gov/field_offices.shtml

Her supporters are yelling death threats and obscenities and it NEEDS TO STOP!
  • TXfemmom · 1 year ago
I do not understand how the Secret Service could be there, right there beside her, and not direct the security to arrest the individuals involved in the threats and to hold them until the Secret Service or FBI could take them into custody?
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Secret Service is under the direction of the Treasury Dept, isn't it?

Treasury is too busy robbing Main St. to do anything useful, like arresting real terrorists.
  • TXfemmom · 1 year ago
Well, that is correct, but their first and foremost responsibility is to
protect the President and Vice-President and if they are there, protecting Palin
and heard this, it would seem that their responsibility would be to notify
police at the event to arrest and hold anyone making threats. It would be
interesting to see what they would have done had the thing happened at an Obama
    event and someone threatened McCain.

Can you guys&gals please submit a separate post on how McCain used to "pal around" with Keating.

Actually, Keating would pay for all of McCain's family to go to the Carribean, including the babysitter!

Paling around with FUTURE CRIMINALS ... what do you think of that?
  • falloch · 1 year ago
"If something bad happens to Senator Obama then the blood is going to be on their hands" - Do you honestly think they'd be upset? At all? If you do, then you don't know these guys at all. The way things are going, that's probably their backroom election strategy.
  • deblen · 1 year ago
ok, here's a theory... Maybe this Ayers stuff is actually new to Sarah Palin. She's now claiming that she didn't raise the issue, the NYT did and she was just responding to it. Maybe she just learned that there is such a thing as the NYT and other new sources, since she could not name one actual title in the couric interview.
Maybe she had not heard of Ayers before. I guess if it was the first time you heard about it, and if you didn't bother to read past the first two paragraphs, maybe it would be rather shocking.
    very sad.

MAYBE WE SHOULD RAISE THE ISSUE ABOUT THEIR AFFILIATION WITH THE GROUP WHO WANTS TO MAKE ALASKA A COUNTRY, OR THE ISSUE ABOUT HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HER HUSBAND'S BUSINESS PARTNER. I DON'T KNOW, I'M JUST BRINING UP THE ISSUE.
