I just woke up from a horrible nightmare. In it, old "Twelve Houses" McCain went to Alaska, and while he was shopping in a Family Dollar Store (needless to say Cindy wasn't along) he found this trash-mouth Tina Fey look-alike clerk with a Mormon-polygamist-wife hairdo and he asked her to be his Vice Presidential running mate. She held insanely scary rightwing views, yet the American people actually LIKED her and ignored her freaky views because they were evidently hell-bent on having a trash-mouth Tina Fey look-alike clerk with a Mormon-polygamist-wife hairdo negotiating with Putin and dealing with global warming. Can you even IMAGINE a worse nightmare??

Typical GOP rhetoric. Their theme should be, "The Lying Party". She lies, John lies, all little GOP'ers lie. Their life wouldn't be complete without a lie or two a day. Especially when it can be found out so easily by, I don't know, opening a newspaper or perhaps watching the news or do I dare say, taking a glimpse at CSPAN once in a while. They never have to tell the lemmings anything; just lead them over the cliff. They'll jump. Just like Sad Sarah and John McAin't.

Actually, the "Bushistas" placated and exploited the Christian Right, but would never permit them to come in the front door of the White House and stay in the Lincoln Bedroom. Not that trash. They got a few bucks for abstinence education and faith-based social welfare programs and that kept them content. But Dobson and Co. have now been given the keys to the White House. By the Maverick, who can be talked into doing anything to get elected.

Now I see that McSame is running aginst Schrub as well. By using the Reaganic mantra of argumentum ad infinitum, the Republicans must suppose the god himself would approve of the stubborn senility that McSame uses. The old "tax and spend", which is prima facie nonsense, has popped up again. Borrow and spend seems to be too silent! How else is government going to get revenue?

Creepy it may be...But, she, Johnny and the media ain't gonna stop their dangerous game playing behavior. Just as with the Iraq war, if Palin/McCain manage to get elected, the media will back away and lie about any personal responsibility and the same cast of worthless pundit usual suspects will continue babbling and enabling as America slides into the dumper. But then something really creepy might begin to take an inevitable hold on the public.

The psychological effects of what she and the GOP are doing is clear: by repeating this lie over and over, knowing that the media won't call it out or only half-heartedly or incorrectly challenge it, she and McCain know that it'll stick as the truth. They're going to keep blasting it over and over, and when she's finally interviewed, or in the debate, voters will think she's the one who's right even though CONGRESS CANCELED THE EARMARK IN 2005, so she could not have 'told Congress no thanks" or however she's now simplistically misstating her nonexistant actions. On top of that, she was STILL for the earmark. So far journalists seem incapble of stating the basic fact that Congress canceled the earmark BEFORE she was elected, so her entire statement is a lie, and, as "liberal" Al Hunt did a few nights ago, are saying it's just a "half-truth" or some other such nonsense. And now that the McCain campaign has bullied the establishment media to end, they are going to treat Palin with kid gloves and focus on nonsense (like her pregnant daughter) rather than the seriously disturbing aspects of her record, and her steady tide of lies.
It's certainly clear why the GOP loves her. Birds of a feather.

Colbert and his crew on the Colbert Report did such a tremendous act when they coined the word "truthiness". That word helps explain all the BS spewed by the GOP so well.
Here in NC a GOP group has started airing an add against Kay Hagan that states "they call her 'Fibber Kay'." Granted, there is absolutely no reference to *WHO* is calling Kay Hagan "Fibber Kay," but they are saying so anyways. Do you think anybody would be offended if I put a sign stating "They call her 'Asswipe Dole'" on my front yard?
