AMERICAblog: Palin says McCain's campaign staff was unworthy of prayer

  • Jennifer · 8 months ago
Fundamentalists are idiots. They really believe they have a special place in the heart of God. I've heard them say things like "I have royal blood in my veins!" and "The Lord favours me!". They're so blissfully unaware of the sin of pride they commit when they crow shit like this, it's simply mind-boggling.

I've always said I wouldn't want to go to heaven if it was full of people like this, but I'm starting to think hell will have a lot of big hairs and combovers lurking about its precincts, down around the 7th Circle. Heaven it is, then.

    Make her stop already!
  • KerrynowCampau · 8 months ago
    LOL! I second that....
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 8 months ago
She didn't need to pray; as the traditional media and the punditry informed us, she did GREAT! She just knocked it out of the ballpark, winking and there you go again, Joe'ing. In fact, Rich Lowry came three times. It was that great.

(Actually, she was pretty incoherent, but nobody noticed that then).
  • DeppFan · 8 months ago
Rich Lowry was over"come", like this guy:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiUHFu88j4w
  • grandma · 8 months ago
and she'll have another chance in 2012....yikes...

and Michael Steele says he will run for President if God wants him to.....
and Newt criticizes Notre Dame for inviting Obama to speak.

and then there's the MN State Idiot: Michele Bachman....

So the GOP has now become the Church??.......
  • An_American_Karol · 8 months ago
The Republicans are freaks, plain and simple - freaks.
  • DeppFan · 8 months ago
The fact that she didn't want to hold hands with anyone near her pretty much sums up how today's so-called American "Christians" behave. They look down on anyone they judge as beneath them.
    PFFFFTTTT!!!
  • Jim Olson · 8 months ago
Not all American Christians, only those who miss the point.
  • Grrrowler · 8 months ago
What a fu@%ing nut job. Get our yourself Sarah...you're not as special as you think you are.
  • okojo · 8 months ago
She should asked to pray with Tina Fey, and then had Tina go on in her place, given she does a better impression of Governor Palin than Governor Palin can does of herself, besides she is better read and briefed
  • KerrynowCampau · 8 months ago
Why do you have to find someone to pray with? Do prayers not work otherwise?

What ever happened to being humble about your religion. Just live it and shut up about it.

The world would be a better place.
  • Yankee · 8 months ago
It's not about religion. It's about being better than everybody else. She's a snob.
  • woodroad34 · 8 months ago
Well, she said "I just need maybe a little help, maybe a little extra," -- Freudian slip? Or maybe SATAN MADE HER SAY IT!

She needs as much help as she gets and God could care less about her (he's too busy helping footballers make touchdowns, singers getting Grammies, and trying to repair his image after Fred Phelps, Pat Robertson, Pope Benedict, and Ayotollah Kohmeni destroyed it)
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 8 months ago
I predict Piper Palin will be in therapy from the age of 14 to the end of her life, dealing with her "mother issues."
  • An_American_Karol · 8 months ago
After this last election, and how close that freak came to the White House, we might all need therapy.
  • unrepentant_expat · 8 months ago
    Life support?
  • UncleGlenny · 8 months ago
Either that or she'll become a Republican pundit.
  • teammarty · 8 months ago
    That's not mutually exclusive.
  • AdrianBrowne · 8 months ago
She should have prayed that the world wouldn't find out the cost of clothes the RNC supplied her with.
  • Older_Wiser · 8 months ago
She prayed with Piper? Was that before or after the GOP bought Piper that $700 handbag? Wow, she even uses her kids as props for prayer...
  • tlsintx · 8 months ago
that is some holier-than-thou bullshit extraordinaire
  • grandma · 8 months ago
Rep. Michele Bachmann has introduced a resolution to prevent President Obama from doing what he and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner say they have no intention of doing: replacing the dollar as the legal tender of the United States...

    http://minnesotaindependent.com/30171/bachmann-...

Obama has no intention of doing so....hmmm....maybe God told her...
  • An_American_Karol · 8 months ago
    See, another freak.
  • Dave of the Jungle · 8 months ago
Joe the Plumber is the Mouthpiece of God. Palin is an imposter.

    See?
  • Butch1 · 8 months ago
You got the mouth-piece right. He certainly has a lot to say about nothing in general. And, Palin probably thinks he's a god so . . .
  • Butch1 · 8 months ago
The woman is delusional and needs help. What she doesn't need is being the president of the US. It will not be safe for anyone who goes against her if she were to become president. I would have to question the voters in this country if that woman is the only person they could honestly vote into office. Is that really the best this country can do?
  • woodroad34 · 8 months ago
Is she really the best GOD can do?
  • Butch1 · 8 months ago
If you listen to her followers, she is. That's the scary part, that these people look up to her as a leader.
  • MElouise · 8 months ago
Nah- that would be the platypus.

    "Intelligent Design", indeed.
  • michaelt · 8 months ago
really? is that the christian thing to say sara?
  • Kiwi Jackson · 8 months ago
    "Praying" or "preying?"

I have come to feel sorry for her kids (& the first of I fear so many many grand kids) being born into the Palin family, a right wing horror film parody of the loving family.
  • cosanostradamus · 8 months ago
    .
Can you say "Holier than thou"?

How 'bout, let her who is without sin cast the first stone?

    OK, how 'bout BWAWHAWHAHAHAHAHAWHAHAHA!!!!!

Pray with me, I see Bobby Jindal Piyush coming, someone help me please.

What do we care about Mac Palin.

I guess the lower 48 doesn't care about Palin.

Jesus Help me, send down your angel and strike Bobby Piyush.
  • AdmNaismith · 8 months ago
She needed someone to pray with for a little extra, wha?
    (I'll never understand Chritianism)

Prayer? I thought she just winked at God and got what she wanted.

In reality, she's just a snob, and trying to palm her failures off onto other people
  • MElouise · 8 months ago
Since no one prayed, it's God's fault they lost.

Think about it. How many times have you heard professional athletes claim they won "because of Jesus"?
  • Gridlock · 8 months ago
Can't we just lock these delusionals up on some sort of continent-wide asylum, ring a fence around it and bet 40 Kuatloos on our favorites as they wage holy war on each other?

We could call it Theocratic Park.
  • unrepentant_expat · 8 months ago

"She said she ultimately prayed with her daughter Piper."

I bet that piece of information really surprised Piper.
  • HD · 8 months ago
she is as insane as they come.. there should be some major rules and regulations cocerning who gets into politics in the US... i love that country but damn it... it's so loose and the system is so loopholed it gives so much space for the worst types of people to rise...
  • cosanostradamus · 8 months ago
    .
You're clearly not a fan of the sport. It just wouldn't be any FUN if you excluded the nutters, etc. Besides, it's called "DEMOCRACY."

Here, let me give you a few tips: We always run to our bases clockwise, to the right. Anything in left field is "out." The pitcher is always called "Dizzy." We don't feel "safe" except on our own bases, or home. The umpire wears a mask to hide his true identity and affiliations. Oh, and you have to be f**king crazy to play.

All righty, then, let's PLAY BALL!

  • GWMustGo · 8 months ago
I was listening to NPR a few years ago when the commentator spoke of a discussion GW and his mother had a number of years back. They were debating who got into heaven. Barbara Bush stated that people who had not been reborn or accepted Jesus as their personal savior could still go to heaven if they were good people. GW was adamant that if an individual did not put their lives in his god's hands, they were dooooooomed.

Barbara Bush called their family friend, Billy Graham. Mr. Graham stated his belief that mere humans are not worthy of that decision, only his god is.

I am an atheist, so I believe all three of them are full of hooey... But GW's stance scared me. Here was a man who KNEW who his god's people were, and who were not worthy. Such arrogance to believe he KNOWS his god's mind. That's the type of person who would wipe out a town with the statement "kill them all and let god sort them out."

(I gained a bit of respect for Barbara Bush that day (and Billy Graham). Granted, Barbara Bush flushed that respect down the toilet with her horrid comments after Katrina...

The Witch of Wasilla apparently isn't all that conversant with what's actually in the actual Bible. Certainly not with the Book of Matthew, wherein he quotes Jesus on how to pray:

"5: And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6: But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."
  • KerrynowCampau · 8 months ago
Thank You! That is what I was trying to think of when wondering why prayer must be with someone else.

What good is praying if no one sees you do it!
  • catdance · 8 months ago
All that parochial school hell pays off sometimes, if only when you need something to refute the religipsychos with.

We can surmise that her hypocrisy is the reason Biden kicked her ass in the debate. Verily, she had her reward.

(Actually, the fact that Sarah Palin hasn't been reduced to a cinder is proof God doesn't exist: if there was a God, he would have smited the sh*t out of her by now. Even God wouldn't be able to control himself.)
  • woodroad34 · 8 months ago
Reminds me of the time Bush was undergoing criticism for not reading or being interested in reading anything of substance; so the one time he went to Crawford, some publicist had to point out that he had a big ol' book of brain surgery or something on his nightstand.
  • HarpoSnarx · 8 months ago
Ah Mooselini's always, always looking for an audience, the more captured the better.

Not surprised our own 21st century Aimee Semple McPherson needs the validation of control and conformity.
  • houstonray · 8 months ago
Boy we dodged a bullet in that election, yikes....talk about a return to Puritan values....
  • MElouise · 8 months ago
Goody Palin wouldst madeth a fine leader!

She wouldst have followed three rods' pace behind her spouse (as a virtuous woman is commanded to do, as it is her duty). By her excellent example, young women willst correct their wicked wanton ways.

    For shame, heathen.

    Dear Sarah,

Maybe no one prayed with you with you because they were afraid of the very real possibility that would start rolling around on the floor SPEAKING IN TONGUES.

    Sincerely,
    a sane person
  • Lynn Dee · 8 months ago
Palin seems not to have realized that she's just given expression to the snobbery of the Christian right.

    Oops.
  • Roger · 8 months ago
Palin needs to leave the national spotlight and return to doing what she does best. Namely, faking pregnancies in order to hide her husband and daughter's incestuous relationship.
  • mark · 8 months ago
Does poking all those little Sarah dolls with pins count as religious?
Cuz towards the end that ritual was RAMPANT, that and getting back her Nieman Marcus credit card.

    translation:

    1) I don't have a 'personal relationship' with God, unless someone helps me. Just like Coach taught me when I played basketball in my public high school. (when he/she made us pray before every game) You are not a member of the team if you don't pray.

    2) I need other people to join me publicly, otherwise I have no faith in prayer.

    3) Unless you want to pray with me the way I want to pray, you are a heathen.

    4) It is not disrespectful to intimate you are a heathen.<grin> I love sinners.

    5) Only our own kind and kin understand, we have the Keys to the Kingdom of God.
