I just think that she doesn't have any sort of gravitas. None at all. Condi Rice has much more presence on the stage and just exudes more confidence in their ability, and probably would have been a way for McCain to win, whereas this VP seems pretty easy to take apart.

One thing she fails to remember when she talks about the heroic president who had been a small-town haberdasher, Harry Truman was a Democrat. You wonder if they have any heroes of their own as they reject Lincoln. You would think that FDR and JFK were also Republicans since they seems so proud of them and eager to claim them as their own.

Have to say that the kid who is supposed to marry Bristol looks very uncomfortable, maybe even terrified. That's the logic that seems to be at work here anyway. I mean, Giuliani, and Romney weren't exactly pussyfooting around their contempt for Dems in general or Obama in particular but Palin's taking it to a whole nother personal-attack level, and these GOPers who are aching to take that uppity Obama down a peg are lapping it all up, and thanking Palin for telling it like it is (how they see it).

Obama came out to Biden's speech in a strong way - closed the circle and made the connection obvious and well.

McCain came out to rescue her ass. There's no chemistry there at all. Can't be too surprising, since they only met last week and all, but still, as a comparison point, it's weak.

Is there anyone, but anyone at all, at least any mother CONCERNED about that poor 5 months old baby who was LEFT in the arms and "care" of a 4 or 5 years old girl for almost 1 HOUR!!!! My heart started beating so fast and was soooo worried that the little girl might just forget for a second that the baby was not just a doll whose hair needs to be looking good and shinny. Oh, Gosh! What a dis-functional family is this? The dad, just passed the baby over to the left, so he can get up and wave to the audience, and after he sat down, he's forgotten the baby!!! WAKE UP, PEOPLE!!! It's all happening under our noses.
