OK, hotshot, how about taking pity on those of us whose office block streaming video and gracing us with a better hint at what she said. (self-pitying cubicle detainee)

she repeated her comment made on the convention floor that both delegates and reporters watched Michelle's speech with "rapt" attention, unlike most of the other speeches (the only other exception being kennedy).

my company blocked youtube a year ago. I feel your pain, man. I can still sometimes access the stuff posted on Crooks and Liars, though.

great interview john. she said similar things on the network. i don't think she spends much time on her appearance. unusual for a tv journalist.

I've always like Woodruff...she's usually a class act....I did notice last night, however.....that in two interviews she seemed to be "looking" for disgruntled Hillary supporters...and was rebuffed twice!.....I loved it!

I'm sure Judy will love that video. The crazy wide angle & the wonderful barroom light are perfect!
Glad to hear she liked the speech.

Anybody else catch Michelle's reference to her husband's values? Like doing what you say you'll do and respecting others, even if you don't agree with them? Mmmmmm...anybody we know not living up to those values? (McBush)

meanwhile, Jack Cafferty is channeling John Aravosis:
jack thinks it's unseemly for the clintons to use the convention to retire her debt.

Why is it so hard for all of these REPUBLICAN so-called journalists to just say "She did a great job! " PBS used to be one station to hear unbiased news . . . the Repubs finally got to them. I suspect it was a case of "Play ball" or we take away your financial support. What has happened to our America is SICK!

Like everyone, I was very strongly swayed by Ted Kennedy's and Michelle's speeches. But I am brought back to reality of the true state of this nation by the reports that police savagely attacked protesters with no provocation. If the words spoken inside the convention were true, then Obama would have been outside listening to the protesters and the reason for the protests would not exist. A McCain win is unthinkable and I am forced to vote for Obama, but Obama is a liar even if not quite as bad as McCain. Yes, there is a difference, but will Obama really give us "Change we can believe in?" The evidence is no. He simply is not going to go down the corporate fascist road quite as fast as McCain, maybe stay withing the 65 mph speed limit instead of 140 mph.
God help this nation. That may be all that will save us.

"I think people have latched on to Barack Obama as this great hope," he said. "I think people have been swayed that just being black that means he's on our side." Planned protests have so far seemed to fizzle, aside from a handful of marches Sunday that drew a few hundred people and only briefly snarling traffic on a few downtown streets. Today, a Re-create 68 protest of the U.S. Mint building was a dud. Although some 70 protesters half-heartedly arrived claiming they were trying to levitate the building, the much-touted event drew more reporters and police on horseback than activists.
Hi John, Chris, Joe and co... just wanted to comment... Flip makes good and fairly rugged devices. My only complaint with them is that file sizes are much too big and at least, my flip, makes .avi files which are crap to edit. But youre right.. this looks fine. KEEP making ze videos!

Eh? I most always transfer .mp4 cam video expressly into .avi container so I can easily edit them in a number of apps. I avoid cell phones, but otherwise a Nokia for the mp4 video looks cool too. This video looks-sounds perfectly adequate, though.

Judy obviously doesn't watch "The View." Last night was NOT the first time Michelle Obama "seemed" real or human.

Michelle and the girls were really wonderful...a breath of fresh air from a smart, stylin' young mother and her adorable little girls...I think the media finally understands the depth implied in the word "change" with Barbara Bush-like cut-aways of Michelle's dignified mother and the new American Dream reborn in this symbolic young family. Not one pundit gasbag, amidst the snide criticism, has mentioned Senator Obama's wonderful comment about the deserving nature of his repeated courtship proposals to Michelle via telescreen. Such a techno-heavy scene could have easily appeared forced but the Obama family performed their roles with the natural ease that has come to define their campaign.

That was adorable how he was actually watching the DNC with a real family. The girls were just cute as can be. That little one looks like she is quite the handful (and looks just like her mama at that age).
I almost teared up when Braack said "Now you see why he kept asking her out"
She was wonderful. anyone who watched that and didn't do at least a silent "awwwww" is a cold, heartless bastard (Rove).
The Rove team is going to find a negative in that wonderful speech and try to exploit it.

Another series of events at the convention is the National Democratic Institute. Lots of international leaders talking about issues including women in politics. Former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell is there - a very intelligent, charming and funny person (star of the musical comedy Law Revue in law school). Also a big Russia expert - taught Political Science 204, Comparative Ideologies, at the University of British Columbia. She would be a great interview.
Carville, the CNN and MSNBC meat puppets, plagerists and hacks and the FOX clowns all want red meat...But, you don't send Bess Truman to give Harry's hell, do you??? This corporate media/Rethug line that last night was a missed attack opportunity ignores tradition, the renewal of that tradition and basic decency. Raw meat equals money for the corporate media and fact-hiding chaff for the imagineered GOP candidate. Let's see greedy skinjob Sin-dy McCain and her fat heather daughter top Michelle and the girls...
dunno if the author even reads these, but FWIW the phrase "flip phone" is a generic term, un-google-able ... where oh where can we go to see a picture or something
