AMERICAblog: Pelosi opposes Hillary's gas tax idea she stole from McCain. Hillary opposes it too - or did. It's so hard to keep up with the Clinton's lies.

So Obama is telling the truth and Indiana voters are not listening. They want pie in the sky rhetorics about how HIllary is going to save them money.

The teevee isn't presenting an accurate campaign overview...Most three-way chats these last few days involve a HRC supporter, a known Bush apologist and the corporate clone hosting...Just another attempt to herd the cows to a certain side of the pasture.

Well of course.... the Huffington post. You guys are so fair and balanced you should be called Fox!

Why is it that there is no mention of swing state poll that show Hillary beating McCain by larger than God Obama? You guys are really pathetic!

If Hillary still had her period you would trash her for using Tampax instead of Kotex.

Clinton won the White House because he was a Centrist. Obama will not be elected. Remember, I told you so.

    Prezz

Yep, I have noticed that too. Much ado about what Clinton is saying out there in Indiana and little notice of how Obama is refuting her. This gas thing ts a perfect example.

a2, TVboarding doesn't demand the constant replay of video clips...it can also be the constant repetition of fraudulent quasi-facts...the "scripting" so many have talked about.

Please, please...fella, never defend me! Please!
The idea of HRC's menopause hadn't entered my mind before....eessch!

Hopefully the thought of that will end along with her period.

I have the utmost confidence that Nancy Pelosi will MAKE DAMNED SURE that any gas-tax holiday/ bridge sinking legislation, trickles down all over our heads.

    She is such a fighter...(sn)

The tax on gas is used to maintain and repair our highways. That is why a tax holiday is a terrible idea. If no tax was collected for whatever length of time it would seriously damage the infrastructure of our roadways. We are so dependent on the highways for everything; transporting goods across the country which is one very important thing since the government did away with the railroads. We are already seeing the consequence of the rise in gas prices on everything we purchase that is shipped via the highways. Next they will have to raise the gas tax to generate monies to repair and maintain. But when did the government ever do anything that made sense?

Are you fucking kidding? Green? Solar? Wind? Electric cars? Get real people. The CEOs of Exxon, Shell, Chevron are not about to give up their 400 million dollar annual bonuses until every drop of oil is gone. Hill-Billy and McStain will play along until the oil is gone. I am not sure about Obama but at least he is a ray of hope in this sewer of corruption and greed. Go rent "Who Killed the Electric Car?"

Hillary voted against the new fuel economy standards a few months back.

"Hillary voted against the new fuel economy standards a few months back."

She was against it before she was for it after being against it and for it wayyyyyy before that.
    Right?
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
The head of AFSCME was just on with Mrs. Greenspan (aka) Andrea Clinton Mitchell and he outright lied about the direct result of this gas tax. He said no, he didn't think there would be job loss or affect roadway works, he said it was real money savings for the voters of Indiana.

Prez Dispodant: Those Pat McHenry shenanigans are really incredible. Thx for link. (Do you think the people who live in his district will ever hear of this crap? Highly unlikely...)

...this holiday issue is pandering...a short term solution that jepordizes infastructure funding, and offers no solution to oil consumption in this country. Let's move on and address the real issues.
  • bunnyjump · 1 year ago
...like how to move from production (since those jobs are lost) to r&d. Let's get our population educated and develop alternatives to energy, food production, medical, etc.....

Several years ago, a lot of years ago, a friend of ours got excited about electric cars and was selling them for a while. But he ran into so many roadblocks and red tape he finally gave it up.

What I find interesting is something some talking head said this morning. Finally, in Indiana, policy (gas tax) vs politics (flag pins, elitist etc). What are Indiana voters going to choose?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Hadn't thought of this:

    http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/5/2/163723/5270

Many Dem members of Congress are undeclared Superdelegates and they're pretty pissed about Hillary calling them out.

    LOL! Excellent!

Obama voted to repeal the gas tax as an Illinois Senator. I guess it was good pandering for him then but not now. He is such the politician

You aren't trying to pigeonhole my remarks are you, Busboy? You know, the conspiratorial creep sitting on my shoulder in me wonders about that!

    LOL

    Hey Busboy. Long time...

I see you are still winning friends and forging alliances! lol

Well, I could give 2 shits about ratings anyway.

Anybody with active brain cells can see that you...

Anyhoo, it is nice to know that some things never change.
    Very much...

bunnyjump is right on. Revealed yesterday that approx 20% of the adults in the OKC metro area are illiterate. They all went to public school. Time to turn this country upside down politically and do what's in OUR best interest.

Pelosi is right. We need the gas tax for infrastructure. Pity that a lot of it goes to welfare; but that's the way it's administered. We're in the transition from fossil fuel to solar, nuclear, geothermal and geocurrent energy. It's going to take 50 to 100 years. Here's an excerpt from an article about what Macy's is doing in Southern California with solar power. Truly amazing:

"The solar power system on Macy's San Jose store is expected to generate 404,000 kilowatt hours per year. It will reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by 514,000 pounds, which is the equivalent to planting 1590 acres of trees over the 30-year lifetime of the system."
