Why won't Obama get a diverse cabinet that looks like America?!

Now if only Reid would grow a pair and do that which is in his power as applies to rules changes in the senate. Perhaps bringing back a REAL filibuster, instead of allowing Repugs to kill bills just by threat alone. Force them to put their money where their mouth is. Or, really, given the nature of what a filibuster is supposed to be, put their mouth where their mouth is.

OT, but MSNBC reports that UN official stating that 4 UN bldgs (including 2 schools used as shelters by Gazans) were hit by Israeli guns. This has got to stop. Isn't that some kind of international crime?

You are right there. Annie Lennox spoke out about stopping the carnage and she is being attacked in the media as being anti-Israel. Israel can do whatever they want and to critique them is setting oneself up for a personal attack.

I am glad to see Pelosi playing hardball in the House. Would somebody explain why Reid in the Senate does not tell the minority Republicans that if they obstruct, he will implement the nuclear option of doing away with 60 votes needed to stop a filibuster. This is what the Republicans did to get judges that Bush wanted. Personally maybe its time for the Senate to be majority rules.
