AMERICAblog: Pennsylvania: Of Predictions and Pundits

Drudge and Politico are starting to pickup on the stories of Hillary's alleged voter suppression. Hopefully the MSM news organizations will follow this closely. Hillary and her philandering husband have stooped to new lows and now surpassed even the GOP in slimy tactics. Up until now they've gotten away with it, but hopefully enough people are watching that it will finally lead to investigations. We'll never be able to trust our political leaders as long as slime like the Clintons game the system for their own agenda.
  • Mike_H · 1 year ago
Belinda, there's nothing like this at all on Drudge right now, and Politico is only reporting "scattered snafus" that they are NOT attributing to Hillary Clinton's campaign -- hardly the kind of "scandal" you seem to be suggesting on these threads.

If you have a link to a breaking story, please provide it, otherwise it seems like you're just making things up because you hate the Clintons so much, and that's not helpful or useful.

Good for you, Joe! You're a GREAT political analyst! Yes, you said it in November, and I've been agree with you since November!

Belinda - Chill out ....Where on Drudge or Politico do you see these stories ? Why cast doubts at 4pm...Give this day time to shake out.

She's like one of those slasher movie monsters.

You can shoot her, stab her, burn her and she keeps jumping up and looking for more.

    The solution?

Just keep shooting her, stabbing her and burning her.

just saw this on CNN's web page (it's the top story): A CNN "poll of polls" suggests Clinton may pull off a victory over Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama. full story

".....suggests....[she] may pull off a victory.."??

Isn't that something you would say if she was expected to lose? My 7 year old nephew knows that. Pathetic

Polling orgs don't call mobile phones. Most college students and recent grads don't have landlines. Depending on turnout, I predict 49% Obama, 51% Clinton. Delegates split evenly. Turn out is key...voter suppression isn't helping. :-(
  • kipper · 1 year ago
GOSH , yes! if Senator Obama does not win out right, THECLINTONS!!! suppressed the votes. Im sure that at some point in your life holding your breath and stompping your feet helped. Its not this time. Its over when he wins, or she does.

My family and I just got back from proudly voting for Barack Obama.

I also offer my highest compliments to all the PA Obama volunteers. They are a wonderful group of hard working and highly dedicated patriots.
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
Nice job, Firebrand. Thank God, the Irish have lots of babies. Since your whole clan (half the state) voted for Obama, he's sure to win. LOL :-)
  • firebrand · 1 year ago
Anything for the team Nigel. By the way I like your voter turnout prediction .:-)
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
I just crunched the numbers, and the Firebrand clan, may have put Obama over the top! LOL

At one point, Stewart asked Obama whether he worried "that you could win the nomination at the Convention and defeat John McCain in the general and, you know, go to the inauguration and Hillary would still be running?"

    ------

Reminds me of a jilted bride, showing up at the church day after day, year after year, with her tattered wedding dress and mascara running down her face.

"This was supposed to be MY WEDDING!!!!!"

Man loses lawsuit over rectal exam
    Tuesday, April 22, 2008 | 6:23 AM
    AP

NEW YORK -- A hospital did nothing wrong when it tried to examine the rectum of a construction worker who had been hit on the head by a falling wooden beam, a jury found Monday.

After deliberating for about an hour, a state Supreme Court jury awarded nothing to Brian Persaud, who sued NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for unspecified damages. The panel found the hospital and its emergency room medical staff were not liable.

Persaud's lawyers, Gerard Marrone and Gary DeFilippo, said he might appeal.

"We're very disappointed," Marrone said after the two-week trial. "It's a miscarriage of justice."

    Theocons For Clinton

Think of the ironies: Scaife And Rove and Buchanan and Novak and Limbaugh now all want the Clintons back.
What, you have to ask yourself, are they really afraid of?

Everyone expects Pinnochio to win, and she has already stated that a win is a win (pathetic), but I do hope at least Obama is able to be a very, very close second. These ugly politics are turning people off, and the sooner, we see a conclusion the better. I wonder what these delegates are waiting for.

At the end of all this we will see that the Clintons have lost all credibility,
they have lied, they have behaved in such a nasty manner, their negatives have gone way higher than in was. Big Bill has embarrassed himself, by acting like an uncouth lout, and her obvious lies have not helped her either.

I hope Clinton does not get the nomination...she has spoiled the party's chances in November, and bloodied Obama.
She is a gift that keep giving, to the republicans.

    Yep tlsintx.

LA Times: A president who's 100 percent disabled?

Some interesting fallout from John McCain's release of his tax return and other financial disclosures: Ralph Vartabedian of the LAT reports today that McCain receives a tax-free, 100-percent disability pension (nearly $60,000 last year) from the US Navy.

    I agree.

I'm still hoping for an Obama win tonite in PA.

Hillary thought she would have the nomination in a pretty box wrapped perfectly with a nice little bow on top by Feb 5th, her problem now is that she still thinks that she can wrap this up even if her pretty box is now a trash can.

yep rbagg...CNN is in Clinton's camp

John McCain gets tax-free disability pension

The disclosure of the Navy benefit for injuries incurred as a Vietnam POW may raise fitness questions.

grandma, that story on McCain being 100% disabled...and he's still allowed to work in the Senate? Most disabled people I know who are drawing SS disability are not allowed to make money...my neighbor is100% disabled with a pacemaker, lupus, arthritis and other problems, 31 yrs old, and she gets under $1K a month--absolutely not allowed to do anything or she's off disability.

How does McCain get away with it? Oh, nevermind...

    Interesting voting experience in PA:

I just spoke with my daughter, a first time voter who lives in Paoli, just outside of Philly. She had registered in March, and being one of those practical types had the foresight to bring her registration papers with her. Of course she was not on their list, so they told her first she was in the wrong place. She asked them to check her fiance's name, as he had registered some time ago. Sure enough, he was there, at the same address. So they couldn't get rid of her on the first attempt. Despite her having a copy of her registration, they then called some election central place to "verify" her paperwork.

Finally, she got to vote--but what about people who don't have a little flexibility in their work start time, or have other time committments. What about all of the people in line behind her who were delayed by this charade?

My guess is that Hill may be broke, but found some moola for these poll workers. Or maybe Rendell has a hand in it.

Exactly....probably never see McCain's 100 % disability in the MSM

Pinnocchio is broke, so she may win PA by a few points, but after this, she will be required to pay up front for TV, ad prep costs and printing, etc.
