Obama admin's OPM, headed by a gay man, reportedly blocks lesbian from getting health benefits
....The news was a surprise; most saw Clinton's future as being in the Senate, where she could serve as both a surrogate for Obama and a thorn in his side.
The liberal blogosphere didn't know what to make of the offer.
John Aravosis at AMERICAblog (5) wondered about the message being sent to those who worked to get Democrats elected.
Maybe we don't need those extra Senate seats in Alaska, Minnesota and Georgia. I mean, I'd love for [Mark] Begich, [Al] Franken and [Jim] Martin to win, but what's the point? Why bust our asses for these guys, for the party, when people like Lieberman, who actually campaigned AGAINST some of these guys, are rewarded for their betrayal? It's becoming increasingly clear that the current crop of Democrats are genetically incapable of showing, or growing, a spine.

Okay...taking the survey you posted.
While the liberal blogosphere embraced (for the most part) the prospect of Secretary Clinton, it roundly condemned Senate Democrats for not throwing the John McCain-supporting Sen. Joe Lieberman out of their caucus.
! I hope John will post the stats when it's all done. It's fascinating reading about how diverse readers are....
Darn John, I didn't think to remember to look at Question 46 to see what gave you pause?? Inquiring minds! :-)
remember, everything's about me.
;-)
And for the record, 1 & N/A...oh wait, was it tattos and piercings or piercings and tattoos? I revise my answer to 1 & N/A or N/A & 1...
It can be about me too, SJM ;-)
and yeah, I suppose it can be about you too... you're in a different state so... 100 mile rule applies. ;-)
And I have 2 piercings...you know, the traditional, one in each earlobe. One only in each earlobe. : )

I keep thinking that the Coleman campaign couldn't get any sleazier, but it always manages to surprise me. Rachel Stassen-Berger reports on a new bit of shadiness:
Republican consultant Jeff Larson, the man who was the Republican National Convention Host Committee Chief Executive Officer and rents Republican Sen. Norm Coleman a bedroom in his Washington town home, is helping Coleman out with the recount.
"Jeff is playing the role he's always played, which is adviser," said Coleman campaign manager Cullen Sheehan

Every time I see someone go by on a segway, I'm like... Dude, why don't you just WALK?
so, they get to feel 'green' by using a segway... and they like the statement it makes about being able to afford one in the first place.
If I'm going electric... I'm waiting to be able to afford a Tesla.
:-)
when someone says it in a gay bar I usually point out that if they don't, they're in the minority.
And they call it "deflation." Call it what you will...
you're survey sucks. I haven't made it past question 5 and I'm already pissed.
Sex: Male Female -- come on -- that binary is so 20th Century. I _could_ deal with it. I put male. BUT then I got to question 5 as a transgendered homosexual which do I put -- transgendered or homosexual? That's lame. The survey suggests that you can't be both.
I know you're likely not the one who wrote it yet you surely carry some influence. This shows a clear lack of understanding of the LGBTQ community.
question 46: 3 and n/a?
But it's not just the majority here. I do web design professionally and usability is one of my specialties. You have 10 seconds or less to get your message across before the typical user clicks away. Long surveys are doomed and almost never show an accurate cross section of a site's real users since most of the users won't finish.
Based on the comments, I think I'm being fairly accurate.
And easy mistake for all of us, DarkCloud.
