It's gonna be a landslide unless Obama really screws up or the McCain camp springs an October surprise.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
I'm with you on an Obama sweep...it's a gut feeling kind of thing and I have discovered that I need to trust those kinds of "feelings" as they are usually always right.

I was glad to see this too. It looks like Hillary's Latino supporters have switched to Obama. Many folks on MSNBC kept saying that Obama has still not closed the deal, and that McPain is close behind him in the polls.

Are we going to see the same idiots who voted for Bush, vote for McPain too.
Some Americans are gluttons for punishment, no?
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
Many "people" are still speaking about Obama's gain in the Latino community as "Obama's Problems with Latino's". Then if you actually READ the article, you will find that it is NOT Obama's problem, but McCains as he is far, far behind.

That kind of trash get's me crazy angry...

I just turned off MSNBC/Gregory, today on Obama's 1001 vulnerabilities. When they do a couple of weeks on McSame's problems, I will return.

    AMEN!

Glad to hear from you. The other day we had a brief discussion on who the Rethugs might nominate if they dumped McCain. I thought about it for a day or two and decided two of the persons most acceptable to most R's and who are great campaigners are Haley Barbour and Trent Lott. Bush would never go for Lott, but I think Chimpy would like Haley.
I would be far more worried about either of them than I am about McSame. I think once people are paying attention, Obama will pull way out in front.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
Hi there! Yes, I agree with you on Lott and Barbour actually. Bush hates Lott (as we all witnessed in full color) and his friendship with Haley goes back years, but I'm not so sure the party would go that far afield from the Primary's.

I've been thinking about it too, I can't help but sense they would go back to Romney OR if they went out in left field, they might look to those who are currently being considered for VP, such as Rob Portman of Ohio. He WAS the Director of the Office of Management & Budget and before that he WAS "easily" elected to the House of Rep's in Ohio (until 05, I think). He also resigned from that post sometime last year for one of those unknown "family" things, perhaps getting ready for "bigger things"?

Needless to say, he's very conservative and a young family man who has been quite close to the Bush family (you would think this to be a neg, but ...). He also was Assoc WH Counsel to Daddy Bush back in 1989, has had lots of diplomatic/executive/legislative experience, is from a swing state (Ohio), is very popular within the party and now seems to be one of the top contenders for veep in many reports I've read.

Also they might consider Tim Pawlenty who is the Gov of Minnesota where Obama is currently leading.

Agree with your analysis, but for Romney.
For one thing, right now, his health insurance plan is about to sink Massachusetts.
He has other baggage as well.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
Oh I most definitely agree that Romney has baggage, lots of it and all designer might I add. However, my opinion of a Republican has never had much sway with the GOP, can't imagine why...

    ; )
    Hope you are well!

ABC did a report for the nightly news on Obama's trip and it was a typical "fair and balanced" hit job.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    I like your terminology.
  • coolcatdaddy · 1 year ago
Latinos probably are having as much difficulty with the Bush economy as everyone else is. And we should be surprised by these poll results?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Obama has the train in gear; McCain doesn't even have a train. The Ameri-can VS the Ameri-can't
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Gee, what a surprise.

The Corporate Media knows nothing about Hispanics.

(Guess their housekeepers will only give them so much inside information.)
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
hahaha yeah, poor maria only tells them what they want to hear because she really needs her job. with the economy in the toilet the only job she can get is cleaning their toilet.

  • rusty08 · 1 year ago
It is amazing the many times McCain stumbles, has memory lapses or just plain doesn't know what he is talking about, and yet the polls indicate that he is "catching up" with Obama? What kind of idiots are taking this polls?
