    It's so bizarre to see the Republican reaction to the marriages. CNN has interviewed several Republican protesters and they are OUTRAGED at the happy people emerging from these marriage ceremonies. These anti-gay Republicans are literally red-faced and spitting with fury. It is amazing to watch.

    As a long-time lurker I tend to be pretty quiet - but this was too funny and too well done not to comment upon. I thought this clip summed up the futility and mindlessness of anti-gay talking points.

    An aside, I have had Americablog and Crooks and Liars as a daily (often multiple times per day) read and I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into running a high quality blog- thanks!

    Those are my 2 favorite sights and I couldn't agree more.

    I emailed that video to one of my conservative friends who has a sense of humor. They really need to lighten up.

    so... sorta on topic...

    can you pick up a form to get a marriage license, or is it just 'wait in line and pay the fee'?

    was wondering if I can send my Husbear down to pick up a license and we can both go to the courthouse later on and turn it in. a logistical thing.

    we're already planning a small wedding on our roof deck. A straight friend of ours is looking into getting ordained for a short period so that she can officiate at our wedding... she's actually calling caterers already :-)

    Does anyone notice the Right-Wing tactic on this? All the major GOP blogs like Drudge and FreeRepublic are being very quiet - as are most of the corporate MSM. Considering how incredibly historic today is, it is very conspicuous how little major news coverage there is (also newspapers). I think the GOP has deliberately planned to try and sweep the whole thing under the rug. They see any glbt visibility as working against them - so they are trying to hope these marriages are all forgotten until they can strip people of their rights with the new anti-gay ballot measure.
