AMERICAblog: Recount looms in MN between Coleman and Franken

    From Minnesota Independent:

Witnesses claim Somali polling place translator was telling people to vote for Coleman

    11/4/08
Earlier today, three voters of Somali origin at the Brian Coyle Center in Minneapolis told me — and two told an election observer — that a translator working there was instructing people to vote for Sen. Norm Coleman.

In addition, the presence of a Coleman staffer who says he came to volunteer his services as a GOP challenger or translator also stirred controversy between election judges and challengers.

well i hope Franken wins (hope against hope).... This election has been bittersweet in all sence. Gay marriage is banned in California... the only big state that has a great impact to the country. But in a bigger picture Obama wins, but in a personal matter i hope he will be able to do something with the more marginalized sector of this great nation. like the rights to live and exist as LGBT and be treated as humane and as equal as anybody else.

I hope the Coleman dirty tricks are exposed for what they are. Let's keep our fingers crossed for Al.

Meanwhile, my granddaughter called me, and I just broke down on the phone. It's still hard for me to assimilate our victory--my emotions are just raw. I keep thinking about my grandchildren, my great-grandson and what this means for them and their future.

This county went 2 to 1 for McBush...I just hope when those people go to church tonight and on Sunday, they will search their souls, but I'm not counting on it. If I were religious, I'd say there is a special place in hell for those who have no sense of justice, no sense of peace, no sense of equality for every human being. Go ahead, look to "your bible" to insulate yourselves and give meaning to your hate.

That kind of biblical and religious hate was shown in CA and FL and everywhere their version of "love and marriage" is shown to be corrupt. Believe this: A change really IS gonna come.

They need to count the votes and count them accurately. I can't believe how close the Franken vote was. Every freaking vote counts!

I live in VA and I almost didn't vote (sick). I knew I had to vote and I went. Actually, I got two votes for Obama. Somebody was sitting on the fence (leaning towards McCain, ex-military stick together). Dropped a single name and somebody didn't quite become a full fledged Obama supporter, but there was no way in hell he would vote for McCain.

Didn't even get to watch the Daily Shows Election event. I tivoed it and passed out before 9 pm. Watching it the next day is not quite the same, when you know that Obama won. I had my fingers crossed that VA, would vote Obama. Guess I have lucky fingers.

Saw that Franken lost. Now it appears that the race was to close to call. If Franken wins, it will be fantastic. Need to control both houses.

Now all we have to do is to keep Bush/Nero from burning down the country in his last days. I keep thinking Bush is going to declare martial law, invade Iran or abdicate his throne (so Cheney pardon him, for all past and future crimes).
