The new ad: spot on, makes Hillary look like a shill, and the loungeriffic music is tres cool!
  • grandma · 1 year ago
Been having trouble trying to post....was saying disqus had timed out.

I sure hope Harry Reid is right...that it is over soon....like after PA...,
    GOOOOO Bama !

On another note...watching the Bushes right now getting ready to greet the Pope coming off the plane.
Wonder what Bush will call him this time......remembering he called him Sir instead of His Holiness last time they met.....

    Disqus SUCKS!
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Disqus (hate the pseudo cool name) is sucking a big hairy one right how, but I want to say that Harry Reid's "dry" and Milquetoast-astic persona has never really worked for me (I mean that in every sense of the phrase). Why not a supposed "fighter" who actually kicks some ass? Or an asshole, of whom we lib'ruls could say: "Yeah, Reid's an asshole, but he's OUR asshole and I like him."
  • Rab · 1 year ago
    Disqus makes me bitter.
  • Daniel Ha · 1 year ago
    @Rab: How come?
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
Reid just never says what he means...

It might help a bit if both DNC leadership along with Howard Dean came out and said a bit more than they have at this point.
  • Deacon_Blues · 1 year ago
What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, I guess. I do wish it were over, though.
  • jchan · 1 year ago
n all seriousness, Reid said he believed the Democratic nomination "is all going to be over very soon," and he contended that "it has been healthy for our party."

Like slash and burn is healthy for forests. Go for broke, Hillary!

What a lot of the press are ignoring are the ties between Billary and Carter. Carter is currently in the Middle East speaking not only to terrorists, but avowed murderers (Hamas). This is the kind of relativist values system that is roundly condemned by most, but conveniently ignored when Hillary touts it. If you read the fine print of her "First 100 Days" (released today), you see that she embraces many of the failed strategies of the Carter Administration (the only Presidency rated LOWER than Bush). The bottom line is that Hillary is even worse than an old-school hag, she wants to revive the worst years of the 70's with inflation and economic hardship. She is worse than a fool. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080415/ap_on_el_pr...

People have had it with her....time for her to close up shop and go home

The Pope appearing with a war criminal president responsible for the deaths of over 1,000,000 of God's children in Iraq.

    Sacrilegious!
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Bitter...as in hopefully, the Clintons will go far, far away and we'll be done with them. Racist bastards.

Only comment from Reed that I understood. For the rest, read:

    KarenMrsLloydRichards comment.

Pelosi is starting to recover a bit, Reed never will.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Wow, glad others are reporting the same problems with Disqus...thought it was me going insane with all the Nazi pope coverage...Bush calls him "your holiness" and Ratzo reponds with, "Heil, mein fuhrer!"
  • grandma · 1 year ago
    Older and Wiser...

haha...oh that the Pope would really do that !!!!
  • grandma · 1 year ago
lol...on Ed Schultz show on Air America today...he said Bill had been put on a diet of no women for the last year...and has stuck with it apparently....lolol.....and that Hillary has said there would be no Bill/women scandals when/if she is in the White House..............rofl

Didn't Reid say that same thing a while back? "It is all going to be over very soon."

I don't believe a thing Reid says nor anything Pelosi says. They are two of the most worthless people in government. Shouldn't they be more visible as Senate Leader and Speaker of the House? They hide someplace, ala Cheney. The sooner we get rid of Reid and Pelosi the better the party will be IMHO. This year has been one of the most trying for the Democrats in trying to choose a candidate for the GE. And our two leaders, and also Dean, are nowhere to be seen or heard. If we ever needed leadership it is now.

    Impeach Reid and Pelosi.

    To paraphrase O.B. Wan Kenobi:

If Hillary strikes Obama down in PA, he shall become more powerful than she could possibly imagine.

Dallas VA hospital closes pysch ward after 4th vet suicide.

The Dallas Morning News reports that city’s VA Medical Center officially closed its psychiatric wing after the fourth mentally-ill veteran committed suicide this year.

In November, CBS reported that “at least 6,256 US veterans committed suicide in 2005 — an average of 17 a day.”

    Gallup Daily: April 15
    Obama 51%, Clinton 40%

The current 11 percentage point lead is the largest for Obama this year, and marks the ninth consecutive day in which Obama has led Clinton by a statistically significant margin. The current Gallup Poll Daily tracking average is based on interviewing conducted Saturday, Sunday and Monday -- after the initial reports of Obama's controversial remarks about "bitter" small-town residents began to be reported in the news media.

this is hurting our party god damnit, Mark Udall said the senate race funds were drying up on the Ed Schultz show
  • Mike_H · 1 year ago
I think, if the party leaders honestly felt like this truly hurt their chances in November, they would have put a stop to it already. Especially all that has been needed to stop this -- for several weeks now -- is for sufficient undecided superdelegates to declare one way or the other.

So something about this process strikes them as still useful.

One thang that everyone agrees on: Harry Reid is a sycophant and a wimp.
  • RevDrBillyBob · 1 year ago
    . . . did I just type "sycophant" ? Ain't that one o' them fanch-schmancy librul words ?
