I think there's another piece of this. Tom Curry is writing that Obama took 60% of the women's vote in Pennsylvania. That's monumental. Moreover, he edged McCain among seniors and split the white vote almost evenly. The hate and resentment campaign McCain and the Republican party waged didn't work. It backfired. And I think what we're seening here is a repudiation of testosterone politics. Remember that CNN Ohio focus group, where when Obama talked about compassion and doing things for people, the women's line went up, and when McCain, or Obama for that matter, talked tough, the men's line tended to hit the ceiling. And it's been testerone politics that has fueled the Bush/Cheney administration for eight years and gotten us into the mess we're in. This is, at least for the moment, a rejection of all of that. The women have weighed in, and there're more of them than men.
