AMERICAblog: Republicans attack Obama's patriotism again. That didn't take long.

  • CitizenTwenty · 1 year ago
    So...
This is the handful of sticks the Republicans are left to grasp?
These are the desparate tactics of a campaign that knows that in the very near future, during the impending "Presidential Debates", their candidate is going to be intellectually dismembered by his opponent.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    Thanks, C.Twenty. Well said.
I think we also need a comedian to look at his/her watch and say, "Oh, it's time for McSame to call
Obama names again. When is McCain going to tell us what his plans are to get America
    back on the right track?"

I just heard that the chairman died from his injuries. Very sad. Has it turned out that the gunman was a Republican? I only ask because the reports I'd heard was that little was yet known about him, besides his discernable characteristics, and that he'd been shot when the cops caught up with him & that he'd died.
  • CitizenTwenty · 1 year ago
    Come now Hawkseye...
It's offensive to trouble the Republican Candidate with such clearly partisan and irksome questions...

I know. Sometimes I just can't help myself.

So we're gonna be dealing with this crap for 3 more months?

    Obama better fight back!
  • txstevo · 1 year ago
Obama camp should not mention anything the McCain campaign does without using the words TIRED and OLD. Just as McCain is trying to saddle Obama with the "celebrity" label so should democrats constantly remind the American people the MCCain is a TIRED OLD MAN.

oops discus is acting weird nevermind
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
    Great idea.
  • nsr · 1 year ago
I'd like to see them question the patriotism of someone who made propaganda broadcasts for the North Vietnamese. Someone who thinks the American people should be lied into war. Someone who thinks $400 mil a day being paid to "patriotic" war profiteers is a good thing. But I don't think it's going to happen.

we have too many goody 2 shoes in our party who are afraid of crossing some Broder approved line of decency. We look weak by not going for the jugular
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
Well, perhaps McCain and his crew have at least figured out that the Soviet Union doesn't exist now.

    That's impressive.

I wrote the people at Disqus. They jsut got back to me. They did a lot of updates overnight and it screwed some things up - they're pushing through the fixes now. They tell me it's way easier to sign up now, since a lot of people had problems earlier. I need to try again and see.

McCain is a traitor, McCain is a crook, McCain is a puppet, McCain is mentally incompetent,
McCain is untouchable. Which one can we change?
  • mirth · 1 year ago
What is Obama to fight back against? The ridiculousness coming from the McStupid camp? Should he say "I'm patriotic! Really I am!" Should he rail against the "handful of sticks the Republicans are left to grasp," as Citizen Twenty so well stated down thread? Since they are throwing to see what sticks, do we really want our candidate to react to all of it?

Can we at least let him get back home from his campaign rest? Can we at least wait to hear what he says at the convention?

Frankly, I feel Meh-Cain is unpatriotic. Does he ever say anything that real Americans can use...or is he just for what he wants--the presidency at all costs? He's not with us
and he's constantly shown he's against us: He's for torture, breaking finance laws, constantly putting real Americans in danger by always advocating war on the
merest whim, lying, working for lobbyists and not the American people. He's a sham, a traitor, a fool, a liar, and a philanderer. Doesn't seem like he's
    good for anything.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
    He's a sham, a traitor, a fool, a liar, and a philanderer.

You missed criminal, war criminal, serial and mass murderer, torturer, thief, liar, ... and stinking, reeking, rotting, foul pond scum.

Wellll, I was thinking them ;-)

We start fighting back NOW. This is yet another failed neo-con point of "NO" view. Get them...get them know on the networks.
  • mf_roe · 1 year ago
The best defense will not guarantee victory, for that you must attack. Until the race is framed on the merits and faults
of both candidates McShame will stay viable.

There is a reason that the McCain campaign will never stop questioning Obama's patriotism. They can't bring themselves to believe a Black man can be a loyal American and good citzen of this nation after all the abuse they know they have heaped on the Black man. It's really guilt over their own racism, slavery, lynchings, police shootings, false imprisonment, beatings, etc., over the history of this nation. Thus, they know they are hypocrites, but they define bigoted, hateful, Republicans as the ultimate in patriotic loyal Americans, knowing that it really enables them to steal more.

Obama is going to wipe the floor of McSnooze during the debates.
bring it on, old man, bring it on.

Didn't Johnnyboy request townhall meeting/debates with Obama?
Let's do it. Watch McCain go blank or crap himself.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
During the debates, be sure to watch carefully for that rectangular shape under McCain's coat and the wire going through his hairline and into his ear. Given McCain's age, my guess is the volume will be turned up so loud that even those outside the auditorium will be able to hear Rove coaching McCain and that is the reason dogs outside the auditorium will be howling.
  • bluestockton · 1 year ago
I heard Loserman say that McSame is "tested in war." Well, if he was tested, he flunked: he lost his plane and spent the rest of the war as a POW.
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
Dear OBAMA campaign staff: you have to fight FIRE with FIRE!

Please learn from the mistakes of Gore and Kerry. Being nice is not going to work.

Do you want to win or be nice and have another neoCON in the White House again. PLEASE come up to bat - swinging back!
  • KeithNovo · 1 year ago
It's time to expose Pruneface, Itchy, and Itchy's son Schrub who maturbate with a flag and a Bible to prove how patriotic they are. The Dead Kennedys were right, although I'd thought they were vulgar in 1981, before I caught the disease of Reaganomics! Take that flagpin and stick it in the heart!
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
Isn't it ironic how the rethuglicans talk like they have the monopoly on patriotism?

Bush, Cheney and the other cowards, dodged being drafted to Vietnam, and yet, they lied, manipulated, and sent our kids to fight their oil war, and have brought our country down to bankruptcy, and they call themselves patriotic?

    That's a load of bull.
