AMERICAblog: RNC blames McCain for Palin $150,000 shopping spree

  • tigergrrldc · 1 year ago
The Repubes lie so much that you don't know who to believe! Maybe they can keep this story in the news for a few more days. The Dems aren't even talking about it anymore!

Who paid for the artifical tan?

    Cindy's children's charity..... who else.
  • GBPUSD · 1 year ago
    Cindy's idea, IMHO.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Wow, this story could have disappeared a week ago but the REPUBLICAN's just keep bringing it up! ROFLMAO! They are totally clueless...
  • grandma · 1 year ago
Yep....David Gergen last nite couldn't believe this story was still the talk on Monday....Palin's own fault for bringing it up along with Elizabeth Hasselwhoever.
  • larz · 1 year ago
I think I'll need to record The View next Wednesday so I can see Mrs Hasselbiyatch cry.
  • KerrynowCampau · 1 year ago
And she sounded WAY over defensive with that stupid "35 dollar wedding ring I bought myself" story
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I know.. what a cheap ass. There is a happy meidum between 150 grand, and 35.00.....and Palin chooses the 35 bucks. Kind of a wide range. Oy vey...what a dolt.
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
Hasselwhoever is a piece of work, a has been with no background or experience. I expect she'll be gone from the View and on over to Fox at some point in the not so distant future. Barbara Walters just played her stupid ass like last years fiddle to get Palin either on the View or her "most interesting people of 2008" special before the Oscars.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
Exactly.....Palin can't stop yapping about it...It's great. This woman is obtuse in the truest sense.

    Fight amongst yourselves, Repugs!

Next thing Palin will say is that they held her moose rifle to her head and forced her to wear said clothes. Yawn.

Is this what is keeping McCain from telling us his economic plan? I'm thinking it will be something like, "My fellow prisoners, sell your 7th and 9th houses. Start taking the bus - I found the "Straight Talk Express" to be very comfortable and it got meeverywhere I needed to go. Marry yourself a beer heiress (you don't even need to be legally divorced to start that). Use your FEC money to take out an illegal loan and you'll get along just like Cindy and I. Govenor Palin recommends questionable expense reporting and letting taxpayers pay for family vacations. Pick and choose the ideas you like. Just ask Joe the unlicensed plumber what he thinks. You know you don't need a degree in anything, hell you don't need school of any kind to see how the GOP will take care of middle America!"

The clothes story is like getting a case of the clap. It just keeps on giving and giving and no matter what antibiotic you get shot in the ass with it just keeps returning.

Pay no attention to the Dingbat behind the curtain.

Now I'm sure that this is all contained within the Campaign Finance Reform that McCain championed.

    Buried deep.

Waaaaaay down into the very fine print.

Only a maverick would support misuse of campaign funds.

Out of control spending and the subsequent finger pointing: classic GOP.

Republicans love to pontificate on the importance of "taking personal responsibility"...so when can we finally expect to see some, damn it??? That's what I wanna know!

You know, the truth makes life so much simpler. I often wonder about compulsive liars, people who lie about things that don't even matter. They always get caught in their lies, but they still don't stop lying. Painful though it may be in the long run the truth is always the easiest path to take.

It's a shame that when Barack wins, the laughter and jokes will probably end. SNL's popularity will plummet. Leno and Letterman will run out of material and have to resort to stupid pet tricks rather than stupid republican tricks.

    TAKE THIS LAST WEEK AND
Get a voting party together-----some polls will have long lines----take snacks, drinks, some Trivial Pursuit cards, an MP3, anything to engage your neighbor waiting with you--get your favorite pizza delivery guy on speed dial

Make sure your friends and relatives have a clear plan to get to the polls and vote--if not, offer to take them

Make one last trip to your McCain headquarters and get a feel for what needs the most pushback, then PUSH BACK

Volunteer to drive the poor and elderly to the polls

KEEP ALERT--if you feel your vote will be questioned, take your cell phone/camera to record your vote iF permitted----CHECK, DOUBLE CHECK, TRIPLE CHECK YOUR BALLOT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE POLL

    home stretch people

All great points. I had not thought of actually going to McCains office to ask what they need the most help with.....I don't know if I have the balls to do that! But it is a good idea.
  • barts · 1 year ago
When they said Palin brings the house down they didn't mention that she would bring the republican party down with her.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I want Palin to stay in politics....... Please please stay Sarah......
  • Speakout · 1 year ago
Will I make it another week without exploding from all the excitement??!?!
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I feel the same way.....but I am remaining caustously optimistic.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I know it's not over 'till it's over. But I am loving the fact that the October surprise is a credit card reciept from Nieman Marcus for Palin......

    Who would have guessed.....
  • Speakout · 1 year ago
    Mark-

I'm in Florida, too. SW Corner- I think Florida will turn blue- Even here in SW Fla- The papers have endorsed Obama, and I see fewer McCain bumper stickers and house signs than Obama's.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
Our right wing rag of a newspaper up here near Jax did not endorse either candidate....which speaks volumes. Here in Ponte Vedra Beach, a republican town, I see as many, if not more Obama bumper stickers than McPain.
