Obama admin's OPM, headed by a gay man, reportedly blocks lesbian from getting health benefits
I voted for Gore, largely because even then Bush was touting Social Security Privatization, which sounded like a boondoggle to me.
But on foreign policy issues--specifically the need to be "humbler" and less interventionist--I agreed with Bush more than Gore.
Then, Bush got in and decided he wanted to build empires.
John Eastman, dean of the Chapman University School of Law, predicted that Ms. Johnsen and other Obama appointees will soon find it is sometimes difficult to adhere to their ideological views opposing Bush administration policies. Mr. Eastman said the Obama nominees are "also pragmatic; they'll understand where they can push their agenda and where circumstances won't let them."

Screw the Republicans. They've screwed the U.S. long enough. They have zero credibility.
Part of successful prosecution of any war is setting a good example for the rest of us. The fact that President Bush never called upon real Americans who agreed with him, to volunteer for military service and Be A Man! Enlist!, or, if not personally eligible to serve, to encourage their own eligible relatives and friends, their circles of influence, at least to consider doing so, is a failure of national leadership responsibility.
Of course, the College and Young Republicans themselves were also conspicuously absent from military recruiting stations, which means that many of them have given up any thought of leading our nation in the future.
Regards from Baghdad [seriously].
