an overlooked impact on the unemployment rate: older workers will delay retirement, shutting out new hires.

This fits with what I have been reading na hearing from multiple economists. They actually say anywhere from 2 to 5 years depending on the fiscal spending of the federal government.

Meanwhile, except for HuffPo, I haven't seen this little tidbit reported on:

"Bush: Give Me The Rest Of Your Money Or Else"

This CAN'T be allowed to happen.

They are in many places, but the inflationary spike that comes with printing money backed by nothing has yet to be seen in the marketplace. That will come when American debt is no longer being bought by countries like China and Japan. This process is beginning, slowly for now to try and maintain market stability for as long as possible, but likely to accelerate soon.

This is a minor point, but can we please drop the phrase "negative growth"? What the heck's wrong with saying contraction?

It's a bit like saying "I experienced some negative weight loss over the Christmas season"....
