AMERICAblog: Rove is gaining control of the campaign for Bush's third term

  • Bobby · 1 year ago
Oh no! I'm quaking in my boots.

    (Sarcasm)
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
Rove has been such a spectacular success to date.
Another brilliant move by the McTrain Wreck Express.

Well, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss this threat. They may have been TERRIBLE at governing, but they were certainly good at campaigning.

This is where we'll really see if the majority of Americans truly want a different kind of campaign, or if they will still fall for the tricks and traps of the aggressive and underhanded Rovian tactics.

Honestly, I think it's even money.
  • brian · 1 year ago
They governed they way they wanted. They did not care about anyone in this country, unless you were a huge oil company or could add to their world change tour. They believed they could change the middle east through force and they failed.
  • Mike_H · 1 year ago
And yet, the won re-election. Because they know how to campaign, and we don't. I'm still not sure we've learned enough from the past, and that enough Americans will be immune to their tactics, especially since they often work at the simple, visceral level.

Dismissing Karl Rove as a failure is premature, especially since he's back doing what he excelled at -- campaigning, not governing.

Let the swift-boating and the voter caging begin.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Well, Rove and his henchmen will run a very dirty but well organized campaign. Half the battle is won because the main stream media NEVER asks, reports or otherwise cites anything negative on John McCain. McCain is, as Bush was, off limits for negative reporting.

"Valerie Plame deserved to be outed"-MSM to Karl Rove at McCombover's bbq
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
I'm still nursing my fondest wish: that Rove will soon be perp-walked.

Meanwhile, it shouldn't be surprising that the ethics-challenged McBush would have these Rovettes finally directing his campaign. However, I don't think they can make a silk purse out of this sow's ear--hopefully people have gotten wise to him already.

But, you WILL hear a lot about "national security", "foreign policy credentials" and such bullshit--yesterday's theatre in Colombia was just the beginning of the coming meme in the McBush campaign. Tell me Bush didn't brief McBush on the particulars, even before Uribe. That trip south was just too well-timed, something we know McBush has no talent for.

Also expect Karlita Rove to drag out bare assed drag queens in Pride parades and pics of same sex weddings. It works.
  • dad · 1 year ago
    and mcsame is complete.

    don't be stupid.
  • Smarmy · 1 year ago
Doesn't matter who they put in charge. McCain/McSame has zero chance of winning. It's going to be an Obama blowout. And by the way, Rove belongs in prison.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Karl Rove will never be frog-marched, even though he is technically a traitor (Valery Plame case) and treason in time of war is punishable by hanging. But the MSM has all but dropped any of that shit, focusing instead on primary concerns like Obama's flag pins...

And if this news is not angering enough, jump over the NYT article today about how the liberal college profs of the sixties are now retiring and how the newer ones are less likely to question authority, or discuss anything radical anymore. This once great nation of debate and discourse is now essentially a nation of junior high school kids debating who should win "American's Next Great Model" and other sewage spewing out of their TV sets. Here is the link to the article:

Yes, Rove is now running the McCain campaign. Rove is operating in the shawdows. Expect the dirty stuff against Obama to begin. Also note how the press lines up against Obama now.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
The end time fuddy-duddies of the MSM also jealously keep a wary eyeball on the blogosphere...These once famous has-beens can't stand to appear out of the hip loop no matter their slavering sycophancy toward p-p-power and will cave like a Hillary super delegate upon detection of blog-fomented popular ripples.
In Next Generation Trekese, we've prepared to engage now let us make it so...

That's going to make it impossible for McCain to uphold his image of the maverick, or change. I have to wonder if he sought out the Rove guys, or if they were forced on him. Wouldn't surprise me if they were, given the criminal nature of the Bush administration.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
This country deserves McCain and Rove. Etc. I don't care if they get him.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
The people of this country deserve McCain, a boot on their neck with their face in dog shit.
  • Aanya · 1 year ago
My my, isn't that just precious! Right down to adding Nicole Devenish Wallace, how perfect. Golly, gee, the gangs all here! As I always say though, the bigger they are, the harder they fall!

Vote McSame: Because America needs more fear-and-smear.
  • mangoes · 1 year ago
Next up: that O'Neill punk of swiftboat fame. It has got to have been killing Rove to sit on his hands all this time while watching such a qualified BLACK MAN gain ground in the race while his party wilts and withers. Expect the slimiest, nastiest, most underhanded attacks people. Barack, get ready to fire back, fast and hard. No quarter.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
I despise the fundies with the intensity of ten thousand suns. And Obama is "reaching out to them"? Nah, who cares.
  • Õ¿Õ · 1 year ago
    Why isn't Rove arrested?
  • Hawk · 1 year ago
Because, benedict Rove has never been charged or even talked about in any serious fashion. They could perhaps mention on Faux how he is a major traitor to the USA, how he has literally OUTED A CIA officer.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Ha! Bravo! The Rethugs fight for a teet as they wriggle and fight around KKKarl's diseased bladder like a sow's piglets...
After November the Rethugs will need barbecue sauce not turgid acolytes.
  • jimfromthefoothills · 1 year ago
So what are you going to do about it Obama? Apologize some more?
  • Hawk · 1 year ago
Anyone notice all the headlines recently concerning fences and Homeland Security and Democratic Convention Policing in CO?

Like they expect a War or something, not a PEEP though concerning the Con Con! They're going to make even suporters appear dangerous, now who, would be behind something like that!?!?!?!
