AMERICAblog: Samantha Bee goes to the RNC and interviews delegates about Palin

  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Thank you for posting this John! I was trying to tell my partner how hysterical this sketch was on the "Daily Show" when having dinner earlier this evening and just couldn't convey it. He looked at me like, "Uh, so what?!!?" Its frustrating when you see something this funny and can't relate it to someone else.

I'm going to chase him down with this video and make him watch it...
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Please; post the video of you chasing him down. We need comic relief during these dark campaigns...
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
    yea, whatever, Busboy.

Believe me, most of what you post is comic relief enough.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Hey, thanks! I enjoy your posts also. How many people are currently hunting your poor ass in east OK?
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Ya know... I could care less if some Wingnut tries to shoot me for speaking the truth. I don't intimidate at all.

I've had people you probably consider "your friends" issue death threats, shoot out a window with a gun, and bust glass all over my drive way for the stands I've taken for civil rights. I also was savagely beaten by three men when I tried to interrupt a gay bashing, so again, you Republicans don't intimidate me. Yes, my hatred of your party is personal because Republicans have made it so... You and your Republican friends want to incite violence against different groups, and divide America and then pretend you did it cause you love Jesus. Can't wait for you to meet Him and explain your theology.

Oops - I forgot the time your Republican friends left voice messages that they would burn down my house, cut the lesbians heads off and piss down their throats and shoot up the place for my daring to have a Thanksgiving dinner for "United Methodists for Lesbian and Gay Concerns" back in the mid 1990's here in Tulsa, OK.

I know why Republicans love their guns. They are always threatening to use them against groups they don't like.

This is perfect. I especially love the tongue-tied young woman.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
I have to admit that I am tempted to change my mind about "choice" The 40 million+ souls that were aborted since RvW? Surely they weren't all progressives? Were they? Is that why this is a more "faith based" nation now? Are seeds of defeat always sown on the field of victory? Maybe so.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
See what I mean by your posts being "comic relief" enough for us?
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
As always, there are grains of truth in comedy. You're a deadender; right? No one left to pick up your sword. All we can do is appreciate your wit while you are here because there's no one following to defend your honor.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Busboy, stop trying to grace us with what you think is wit. Its not working...
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Until you can pass a small watermelon through your penis, I don't care what you believe.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Ah, the "eye of the needle" on the wall of Jerusalem" You know lots of "stuff" that you're not sayin...

How many angels dance on the head of your pin???
  • Ben Dover · 1 year ago
Just think, if lil underage Bristol had only used a condom instead of Captain Morgans rum.

    Tsk, tsk, tsk.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
She wouldn't be popular and beloved by the Fundie right.
However, I am willing to bet good money, the boy who knocked her up wishes he could take back that ten minutes of his over hormoned life.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Ten Minutes?!! Don't turn him into a sexual action figure! How about 10 seconds?
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
I'll defer to your superior knowledge on the subject.
  • Ben Dover · 1 year ago
Hi Karol, great to see you.

You should take a look at the pics posted at BartCop.com. Them youngun's sure do like their Captain Morgans. And they so lucky that Caribou Barbie leaves an open bar on the countertop so the kids don't have to dig around an ol' locked liquor cabinet or anything. Those are some mighty fine republican values they have.

The pics are a little more than half way down. Enjoy. And take care!
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Hi, Ben. It's good to be back. Nice seeing your words.
  • ndtovent · 1 year ago
I thought the teens were big winos up in AK. You sure it wasn't MD 20/20??
  • Hurrycane · 1 year ago
We don't know that Bristol didn't use a condom.

Sometimes birth control doesn't work, and sometimes teenagers don't use it correctly.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Republicans don't see their own hypocrisy. Even pointing it out confuses them. Great video clip.

    Hypocrisy Now!
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Is tonight's Daily Show new or a repeat? I know it's sometimes a repeat on Fridays, but i was hoping that since this would be the McCain speech episode it might be new?

    10 minutes, after SG-A I'll flip over.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Its always the same old story with them... LEGISLATE MORALITY and then give a HUGE PASS to any of their star quarterbacks when they are their personal family can't personally live up to their hateful controlling agenda. Not only do they give them a pass but they worship them and treat them like they are entitled to hand out blow jobs in public men's rooms, prostitution, diaper sex, underage sex, adultery, sex with farm animals and anything imaginable while screaming at the rest of us to BE-HAVE and IF YOU DON'T you are GOING TO JAIL DAMMIT!

They have that ever-popular easy way out; they play the Jesus card whenever they get caught doing something they supposedly don't approve of.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
I assume, then, Cowboy, that you are speaking from the county lockup in Tahlequah, OK? I think American Karol has some influence there. She might be able to get you out on "good behavior"; or, whatever that passes for in East OK....
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
    As a matter of fact......
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Careful; you might be construed as belonging to the "good ol' boy network".....
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
    No, just the Indian mofia.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Whew!, well, the Indians I know are all friends of mine!
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Nope, fortunately the police were pretty good with the whole vandalism and death threat stuff. They traced the calls to some right wing neo-nazi Republican group who also had threatened a Jewish Synagogue with bombing in Tulsa, OK. I figured being a target, along with the jews, was a badge of honor! They weren't prosecuted for what they did, and I couldn't prove all the vandalism was from them.

The gay bashing brought me to Washington DC to testify before the House Judiciary committee to support laws to prosecute Hate Crimes. Of course, your friends the Republicans BLOCKED those very laws because they were considered "special rights." They had just passed the Church Arson bill to enhance prosecution for arson against churches. The Republicans said churches needed more protections because harming a place of worship sent a violent message to entire faith group. Of course, Hate Crimes would protect HUMANS, who happened to be gay, so the Republicans couldn't go along with it.

Read the foreign press, especially European. Palin's becoming a butt of jokes there. But, I guess that's not anything new about American political aspirants, Repugs in particular.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Did you hear McCain talk about France to his Republican base during his campaign speech today? He was talking about how we needed to be like France, and the crowd was too ignorant to realize he wasn't being sarcastic. They laughed with a few boos sprinkled in. McCain had to add the French had changed and elected a pro-American president. See, the majority of Americans are still in the "Freedom Fries" mode regarding the French. We can't expect that group to make any kind of decision based in reality.
  • ndtovent · 1 year ago
I saw it last night on 'Daily..' Too funny!
  • ndtovent · 1 year ago
It's a shame that some of these losers actually have the right to vote. Oh well.....
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Its how we explain TWO TERMS of George Dubya Bush.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Just saw CNN do a FOCUS GROUP on Evangelicals and how John McCain totally fired them up by picking one of their own. They showed them giggling and laughing at all Palin's snarky, shrill attacks written for her. They are true pieces of work, and need to be exorcised. I watch their hideous reactions and swear no one could act like that unless possessed by some kind of demon.

It's all about that woman who thinks there are women out there who want to bear, and thinks there are scads of people who want to adopt, a Rape Baby. 'Cause anyone who desires a child in their life thinks Rape Baby first.

Next to Colbert, no one speaks truth to hypocrisy as fearlessly as Samantha Bee.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
    Perfect.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
OK, last night I was saying I hoped Samantha Bee's segment would be shown all around the net for it's sheer hypocrisy. Tonight's classic is the "Small Town Values" segment. Hysterical!!!! Daily Show was spot ON this week.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
    Fabulous...It just doesn't compute.
The one young woman reminded me of the android who shorts out after a logic paradox posed my Kirk in the original Star Trek episode "I, Mudd".
  • Butch1 · 1 year ago
It's amazing how they get tied up when hit with reality. It's too bad these people are allowed to vote. They really don't know much about the issues except what their told to think. They get tripped up every time when they have to explain why they believe a certain way.
  • ydthin · 1 year ago
well done. great job pointing out the hypocrisy. warm fuzzy feeling.
  • Mister_E · 1 year ago
I totally agree with you. The Righties are the biggest hypocrites when it comes to morality. They always want to play "morality police" and pass judgement upon everyone else, yet ,when one of their own does something that could be considered immoral they act like it's no big deal.

If Sarah Palin were a Democrat ,you would see how fast the Rethugs would be calling for her to step down as the VP candidate, and, making her out to be a piece of trash
  • Hurrycane · 1 year ago
Yep. And the anti-choice sometimes make the unexpected choice themselves, and rationalize it in the damnedest ways.

    Always worth a shout-out:
