    I didn't realize Canada allowed same-sex marriage until I just looked it up now.

    Sulu from Star Trek is getting married to his partner. He was in the Japanese internment camps during WWII and talked about how it felt to be interned and also being gay and how shameful that felt.

    I read about that. Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and Walter Koenig (Chekov) are in the wedding party. Leonard Nimoy says he'll be there as a guest.

    Mexico City has same sex marriage. It's a municipal law but same sex marriages with a Mexico City license are valid everywhere in Mexico.
    Catholic country? Yes. Fraidy-cat Catholics? No.
